This unique waterfront log home located on Lake Palo Pinto is only an hour away from the Dallas/Ft Worth Metroplex. From the moment you drive onto the 6 acre property you feel you have stepped back in time when this North Texas hill country was settled by the pioneers and occupied by the Indians. Once inside the front door you realize you are ready for relaxation. You are immediately drawn to the back porch that is nestled in the trees 80 feet above the water that provides a panoramic view of the lake. Enjoy the scenery, your afternoon snack, and that first cup of morning coffee on the porch. The Lodge is your home during your visit. Come share it with us along with the songbirds, hummingbirds, deer, roadrunners, squirrels, fox, armadillo and raccoons. However you decide to fill your day, relaxing lakeside, fishing, antiquing, golfing, or day trips to many of the historical site in the area, be sure to return in time for sunsets, fireflies, and the moon and stars dancing on the water.

The Best B&B On A Lake, Ever!

    February 11, 2013

This, by far, has been the best B&B I've ever stayed at. The owners have done an incredible job with attention to detail when building this amazing place. I found this B&B by accident and I thank God I did as my girlfriend and I loved it so much that we have decided to create a yearly tradition of returning for our birthday's. From the moment you enter you feel right at home and the view of the lake is spectacular. What takes this place to the next level is the hidden stairwell behind a book case that leads to the game room/wine cellar. Its something that seems so unreal that you can only believe it when you see it with your own eyes. The only two suggestions that I would make would be to change the shower heads to larger ones and to have fuller pillows. Otherwise, I think this secluded getaway is perfect and I would highly recommend this B&B to all of my friends. KEEP UP THE GREAT JOB!

    Country visit

    October 02, 2012

My travel companion and I enjoyed this place as one destination for our yearly jaunt, the weather happened to be cooler, the lake was lovely, landscape was greening, and they were very accommodating to our requirements. The Lookout room upstairs has lots of windows and views and we slept very comfortably - though we tossed a coin to see who got the big bed! And when we couldn't find the driveway at first, Cindy sent Mike to fetch us in the van so we could follow - wonderful people, wonderful time!

Visiting The Lodge on Lake Palo Pinto is like taking a walk back into the past as the property and surrounding scenery seemed untouched by time. The hosts, food and foilage were excellent and I felt as if I were at home.
