Located in rural Upton County, the 15,000 acre Barr Ranch is isolated from the hectic pace of day to day life. We offer the peace and solitude of our ranching heritage and invite guests to enjoy West Texas' unique brand of nature tourism. Guests are able to enjoy native birds and wildlife watering at the pond from the comfort of the back porch. The three bedroom, one bath former ranch headquarters rents as a single unit and is fully and tastefully furnished. Continental breakfast is provided.

Take the FM 1788 South exit out of the airport. Travel approx. 15 miles South to the intersection with FM 1787. Turn west and travel 5 miles to the intersection with FM 1492. Turn South and travel 8 miles.

The Smiths have been a ranch family for 30 years and live on the Railway Ranch just north of the Barr Ranch Retreat. When not caring for their children ages 10 and 14, the Smith's enjoy all the outdoor activities afforded by country living as well as gourmet cooking and welding as an art.
