Munzesheimer Manor
Munzesheimer Manor, built at the turn of the century by a German immigrant for his bride, is a magnificent testimony to the Victorian era. Built entirely of pine and cedar, the house has provided a comfortable home for several prominent Mineola families and boasts of large rooms with high ceilings. Seven fireplaces with antique mantles, many bay windows, and a large wrap around porch accentuate the setting for complete rest and reflection. Munzesheimer Manor has been featured in national magazines, numerous newspaper articles, on the covers of several guidebooks, and has been recognized as one of the "Best Twelve Bed and Breakfasts In Texas" by the Dallas Morning News and named as one of the top fifteen "Best Overall B&B's in the U.S." by Arrington's B&B Journal. Victorian nightgowns and nightshirts, a gourmet breakfast, and the special "one of the family" pampering by Bob and Sherry ("even the toilet paper is gift wrapped") makes a stay at Munzesheimer Manor a memorable experience.
