The Hamilton House Bed and Breakfast

The Hamilton House is a distinctive turn of the century restored home with all of the amenities in five guest areas, all with private baths. There are three dining areas also available by reservation for breakfast, lunch, or dinner (minimum of 8 persons)special events or meetings, receptions, showers and small weddings. The Hamilton House is perfect for bridge, tea or birthday parties. There are four bedrooms on the second floor and the entire third floor is a lovely efficiency suite. As a bed and breakfast, the Hamilton House provides comfortable homestyle accomodations to the business or pleasure traveler with friendly hospitality, clean, comfortable rooms as well as delicious full breakfasts.

Special get away packages can be arranged upon request. Tell us your occasions and we can arrange a special spa weekend, enjoy the outdoors on a bird watching weekend complete with a picnic lunch, bird book and map; or participate in a mystery weekend, etc. Give us a call and we will make the arrangements.

    Take S exit from DFW to 183 go east on 183 to I-35. Go south on I-35 to I-20 go east on I-20 to I-45 South towards Houston. About 10 miles past Corsicana take Hwy 14 Richland/Mexia exit. Stay on Hwy 14 to Mexia. At the second light (Hwy 84) in Mexia, turn left. Stay on 84 (Milam St) to Canton St.(street beside Century 21 Realtors) turn right go three blocks to Commerce. The Hamilton House is on the southeast corner of Canton and Commerce. Parking is behind the building.

    The Smith is a cozy retreat with a four poster bed with walls in tones of restful green and taupe accents.  The private bath features a jacuzzi tub with showerCurl up in this queen size bed with a large magnificently carved mahogany headboard in the Miller Room. The rose patterned wallpaper is an elegant accent.  The private bath in this room is an oversized antique tub with shower.
