The 130 acre estate features horse stables, Texas Longhorns, frequent visits from a variety of wild life including deer, Bald Eagles, great views, and a large variety of birds and smaller animals. The home features two master suites, four bed rooms, a theater, game room, formal dining room, sitting room with a fireplace and large garden room.     My husband and I were looking for a spot in Lufkin for the horse sale that happens twice a year. Now we talk about going to Lufkin with no other reason than to stay at Southern Stables! You definitely feel like you're being treated with the most thoughtful kind of service - every need anticipated. Thank you for the wow experience - I definitely went home refreshed and able to serve my own family. We enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere of your ranch and hope to be able to visit again soon!

    Did you ever stay at a place you couldn't find something to complain about? The owner's of Southern Stables have done their homework prior to ever opening the doors to their guests. If you're looking for a down-home southern style country feel - look no further than to Southern Stables B & B in Lufkin, Texas to meet all your expectations. The house, or better stated, you're home while your a guest there is large and immaculately furnished. The bedrooms are large and very comfortable and all the bathrooms are spacious and very clean. In reality, unless you are extremely wealthy and have a full time live in staff at your disposal - the level of comfort, cleanliness and general order of things is probably more than what you get at home. I've stayed in 5 star hotels and nationally recognized B&B's all across the U.S., Canada and Mexico and can honestly say that the Southern Stables B&B compares, in my opinion, to the very best of those that I have stayed. I have been a woodworker and craftsman, by hobby, for over 30 years. I have done this because I like quality work and to be able to afford it I've had to learn to make it myself. The Southern Stables B & B has left no stone unturned, from the craftsmanship, design, and decor of the interior of the house which includes a large dining room, a movie theater and a game room - right down to the construction of the stables and barn and the longhorn cows in the large pastures neighboring the house. The pastries and breakfast casserole in the mornings made the whole experience perfect. If it were mine I wouldn't have done anything different - I would only hoped to do it as good. I've learned a new way to spell relaxation - S O U T H E R N S T A B L E S B & B. From now on Southern Stables will be my home away from home. Thanks once again to the owners for your gracious hospitality and southern comfort extended to me during my stay. I look forward to seeing you again in the very near future.
