We have really enjoyed our three days here. For starters, when we arrived, there were cookies and snacks on the porch. Any time cookies are involved, you know it's going to be good. We stayed in the Royal Oaks Cabin, which was beautifully decorated. It had a giant bathtub that could have easily fit two people, although it does NOT have a shower, but it does have a hand-held shower head. We felt very comfortable and the setting was great. We spent a few afternoon just reading on our little porch over-looking the koi-pond. The hosts made dessert every night (the blondie was our favorite) and the breakfasts were great! There is a separate cottage that has all kinds of DVDs and books for you to borrow while you're there. All in all we had a really great, relaxing time. We will definitely be back. The only negative I will say about our entire trip was that the bed in the room was a little hard. Aside from that it was fantastic.

We really enjoyed our stay. The room was great and had an amazing bathtub. Liked how secluded our cottage felt. We will certainly stay here again in the future.

Fantastic cottages, a very neat idea from the traditional bed and breakfast. Food was delicious, and the owners were extremely nice and outgoing to make our stay amazing.

My best friend and I stayed in the Merlot Suite which was located above the square. It was very spacious and quaint. We had easy access to all the restaurants and shops. Staying above the square was quiet at night since all stores were closed at about 9pm. We did have to drive back to the cottages for dessert and breakfast but the drive is only 3-4 minutes. The breakfast was amazing!!!! The couple that runs the bed and breakfast are very sweet and helpful. The check in/out was so easy and fast. And since we stayed during the week the rate was cheap. I would definitely stay here again.

My wife and I needed a place close to Dallas that we could get away from our kids and kick back and relax. We couldn't have found a better place. The Carriage house was a great place to kick our feet up and spend some quality time together. The room was spacious and we made use of the Jacuzzi tub. The location of the B&B is close to the town square and within walking distance. We didn't take advantage of the on site breakfast but you can tell from the available amenities, that they try to make sure you have everything you need. We are already thinking about our next chance to go back.

The only negative was the toilet seat was soiled which grossed me out, but the place was so charming and the food delicious that I couldn't help finding a way to give them grace regarding the fact that they had snow and icy roads the night before which is not Texas typical (many shops in the square were completely closed due to weather). This may have affected cleaning time. I would definitely give them another chance.
We are so very sorry you had a cleanliness problem! That is not our normal standard as you can see from other reviews. Sara was out of town the first of March and a friend was helping to clean. We're very glad you are going to return and give us another chance - it won't happen again! We do encourage our guests to let us know immediately if something is wrong in their accommodation so that we can correct the problem then - we never want our guests to have anything less than a fabulous experience - unfortunately we don't know things aren't perfect unless they tell us. Again, our apologies!

My boyfriend and I went for a Valentine's Day getaway and we really enjoyed it. We stayed in the Carriage House which was nice because it is tucked away. Yes, the hosts do keep to themselves more than other places I have stayed, but when we did communicate, she was very pleasant and accommodating. The breakfast was delicious as well as the dessert the night prior. We will definitely come back!
