A very pleasant stay.

5 on July 08, 2014

The owners were very friendly and accommodating. I will definitely use them again when I have friends visit.

Awesome stay

5 on June 29, 2014

We stayed at the pomegranate house. The room/decor was over the top. That means awesome. Breakfast was something you would get at a elegant restaurant. Our stay was SUPER. This is a place you Must visit.

Anniversary Get-Away

5 on June 23, 2014

This was our third or fouth time to stay with these lovely folks. The cottages are beautiful and comfortable. The breakfasts and evening desserts are delicious. The owners are friendly, accommodating and gracious. We always enjoy our stay at the Pomegranate House in Granbury. Thanks, Tom and Sara!

We love Pomegranate House

5 on June 19, 2014

Our stay at the Pomegranate House was exactly what we wanted. Quiet, relaxing and affordable. I highly recommend staying in the Carriage House. The whirlpool tub and comfy bed is perfect!! We will be repeat customers.

Wonderful experience!

5 on June 17, 2014

Spent a girls' weekend in Granbury and stayed at the Pomogranite B&B; suites. What a wonderful experience. Everything was perfect. Can't wait to go again and stay at the Pomogranite!

Enjoyable Visit

3.6 on May 15, 2014

We stayed in the Merlot suite on the square. Pros: Plenty of good sitting space. Comfortable bed. Nice old-time ambiance. Convenient access to square activities. Excellent breakfasts. Great eating places on the square. Cons: Square noise. Overall, room clean, but baseboards were dusty. Narrow stairway leading from street to rooms. Parking could be an issue on the square, though we were lucky to park next to the door each time we returned. Overall, I'd recommend it if none of the cons would bother you. By square noise, we experienced some noise from late night partiers Friday night, and some type of car alarms woke us up Saturday morning and went off and on for over an hour. We didn't notice much traffic noise unless a loud vehicle came through. We enjoyed our stay.

Innkeeper Response
So sorry the noise bothered you - afraid that is the one problem in the Merlot Suite with actually staying on the square. However there are a lot of good things - you are just steps from all the restaurants, shops, theatres and Historic Square events. We hope you'll come back and try one of our private cottages at the Pomegranate House next time! Thanks for your comments!

Granbury Wine walk 2014

4.0 on May 10, 2014

I would rate everything very high, my one complaint, were the barking dogs left alone by some guests in the cottage located next door to the office. The barking went on for hours. This is not aimed at the owner's dogs playing in their yard.

Innkeeper Response
We are very sorry to learn that other guest's dogs were disturbing you. We do try to listen for problems but we've never had it occur that a guest could hear other's pets when in their cottage. We do encourage all our guests to let us know if they have any problems at all - we can't fix things if we don't know about them. We hope you'll come back and visit us again - and we'll make sure you're not disturbed. Thanks!

Room was clean, private and very quaint. A perfect getaway for a girls weekend!

Pomegranate House & Cottages Bed & Breakfast Review

4.6 on April 26, 2014

This B&B is very nice. Great value. It did appear that it may have just opened for the season and needed some exterior cleaning/upkeep (leaves, dusty porch, chairs, shrubs pruned, etc.) Overall it was great.

Innkeeper Response
Glad you enjoyed your stay. Sorry about the leaves, etc. This time of the year it is an hourly - not even daily - task to keep up with the leaves - they are from the 300 year old live oak trees that cover the courtyard. We dust daily and keep the pathways clear - but we also enjoy the more "country" atmosphere the trees provide. And we love the fact that the trees keep the courtyard nice and cool in the summer! We look forward to having you back!

Anniversary "get away"

4.0 on April 12, 2014

This is an idyllic little place, tucked away beneath several huge, sprawling live oak trees, just blocks from the historic town square in Granbury. I'd have missed it had not I been looking for it. The inn keepers are wonderful people who love to serve, and have provided a beautiful place for their guests to get away from the busyness of daily life! We stayed in the Garden Cottage, and especially enjoyed the front sitting room, complete with small fridge! The rooms are beautifully decorated, and have sweet little "extras" like plush, cozy spa robes, and snacks throughout the day & evening. The jacuzzi was wonderful, as was the HUGE walk-in shower! Breakfasts on the screened veranda were both beautifully served, and delicious as well. The koi pond & fountain surrounded by hundreds of twinkling lights just add to the overall charm of this place. All in all, a very relaxing, refreshing, peaceful weekend! We WILL be back!

Anniversary Stay

4.4 on April 10, 2014

I loved the cottage atmosphere. The dessert was delicious. The tub was a little small. Breakfast was delicious.

Very cute and quaint B&B.

5 on March 26, 2014

My fiancé and I stayed here for one night last weekend and we absolutely loved it. We drove in from Houston, and it was well worth the four hour drive. We were actually disappointed that we didn't stay two nights. The town of Granbury is absolutely adorable and the restaurants and little coffe shops were perfect. We loved that the B&B is pet friendly and that we were able to bring our puppy. We have stayed at quite a few bed and breakfasts and we've never encountered one that we actually slept better in than at home. The king sized bed was so comfortable and the huge jacuzzi tub and two person shower was even better. We had a very relaxing weekend and could not have asked for more.

Weekend Getaway

3.8 on March 20, 2014

A weekend getaway to Granbury, but our first stay at the Pomegranate House & Cottages Bed & Breakfast. Ideal location on the Square but secluded from the crowds. Warm furnishings provided a romantic background.

Great place to stay

3.6 on March 17, 2014

We stayed in the Magnolia Room. The room was very nice. The only issue is the street noise at night. Loved the room and breakfast was very good. The Baker's are very nice hosts.

Innkeeper Response
So glad you enjoyed your stay. I believe you must have stayed in the Merlot Suite which is On The Square - not at the actual Pomegranate House. This suite is on one of the main streets of the Historic Square and is very convenient to shops, restaurants and the theatres - but it does get some street noise - depending on traffic. We don't have a Magnolia Room.

New to bed and breakfast

5 on March 16, 2014

We are new to the b&b scene so we were skeptical...but the pomegranate house was amazing. We stayed in the royal oak cottage. It was very quaint. It had a large jetted tub which we enjoyed very much. We sat on the porch that evening and had coffee and later that night enjoyed talking out in the courtyard by the fire pit. The oak trees are gorgeous and made us feel secluded even though you are in the middle of town. The next morning we were served a homemade breakfast delivered right to our cottage!! We were so happy with our stay and highly recommend the pomegranate house and cottages.

Very enjoyable

4.4 on March 14, 2014

Charming property, well appointed rooms. Great privacy with each cottage separate. Great getaway!

Very peaceful and cozy

5 on March 13, 2014

We actually live in Granbury but wanted to get away for our anniversary. My wife found the Pom House and I'm glad she did. We had the most amazing time. Tom and Sara are fantastic people and the grounds are so peaceful and quaint. We sat by the fire pit in the evening and had breakfast brought to us in bed in the morning. Very good value and the food was amazing! We will definitely be back.

Great getaway wknd

5 on March 09, 2014

It was awesome. The cottages were very nice and breakfast was good too. I liked it a lot, but more importantly, the wife absolutely loved it :)

A fantastic surprise!

4.8 on February 27, 2014

My wife and I would much rather support a local business instead of a hotel chain and this wonderful B & B was recommended to us by a local merchant. (We actually went back to the store the next day to thank her because of the fantastic time we had at The Pomegranate House.) You can certainly discern from 350+ fantastic reviews below that you will not be disappointed with a stay here, so I will not rehash them. A cozy atmosphere, great food, superb accommodations, along with first-rate service provided by Tom and Sara will have us recommending the Pomegranate House to our friends and have us coming back for years.

Great pet-friendly getaway!

4.8 on January 27, 2014

We stayed in the Blue Heron cabin at Pomegranate House with our dog and it was wonderful. The grounds are very nice and having our own private cabin was a plus. The community cabana had popcorn and movies to select from which we enjoyed when we returned from our evening in downtown Granbury. If you bring a dog or just want to be outdoors, do not miss the large and well-maintained city park nearby (complete with dog park). The owner was away but there was an innkeeper who made a delicious breakfast, during which we enjoyed the company of the other guests. I would definitely return to Granbury to stay at the Pomegranate House and recommend it for a nice weekend getaway.

Nice for the price

5 on January 09, 2014

Tom & Sara are 2 of the lovliest people you ever want to meet. They are very invovled in their community & it shows in how well they run PomHouse. It's second nature to them. We were very impressed with the cottages & the serene atmosphere of the whole place. The food was marvelous & the service top-notch! Thanks Tom & Sara! We'll come again & are inviting others to visit you, too!

Will definitely be back

4.8 on January 01, 2014

This was our second visit to the Pomegranate House. It continues to be one of our favorite places to stay. Highly recommend it.

satisfied patron

4.6 on December 17, 2013

When we arrived they were out. However was kind enough to leave us a welcome letter with detail. Our room was quite comfortable and quaint. We had everything we needed in the room. We called to provide the breakfast delivery time. Later the owner knocked to inform us of dessert time which was nice of her. The next morning a very tasty breakfast was delivered to our cottage on time. We enjoyed our quick getaway for my husbands birthday and will return.

Holiday Haven

5 on December 02, 2013

We traveled to Granbury to see family and stayed here the night of Thanksgiving. The courtyard was lovely, the room was very charming and decorated for the season. We will go back for sure. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was big, the front of the cottage had a private porch. When we arrived at the room after dark, my 4 year old was in awe of all the Christmas lights and decorations around the courtyard. It was a mini winter wonderland.

Great weekend stay

4.2 on November 25, 2013

It was a great location! Close to downtown square. Great place to stay for a weekend trip.

Perfect weekend stay!

5 on November 24, 2013

The Royal Oak Cottage is beautifully decorated with antique furnishings. You can really see the time and dedications the owners have in maintaining this property. The bed was wonderful and the electric fireplace was a lovely touch. The breakfast in the main house was delicious and owners were very welcoming.

Perfect weekend getaway!

4.6 on November 17, 2013

Celebrated a wedding anniversary and found the cottage perfect. Great breakfast to boot.

Great experience!

5 on November 08, 2013

Thank you for a wonderful visit. The cottage was clean and stocked with everything we needed. I was pleasantly surprised. This was our first bed and breakfast experience and when returning to Granbury we will be staying here again. Sara is a wonderful cook and Tom served us breakfast with a smile! We felt very welcome there. Thanks! Lisa and Sabrina

Good people, nice atmosphere

Great place to stay in Grandbury

Cozy cottage

5 on October 26, 2013

We enjoyed everything about this B&B. When we arrived the owners weren't there but left snacks and a note for us. Later that night Tom brought us the best dessert bars. Since we were the only ones there on a Tuesday morning, Sara brought breakfast to our cottage. The cottage was very nice, the bed comfortable, and the whirlpool tub was relaxing. There is a nice courtyard with a koi pond, fire pit with seating, and large trees.

Great stay!

4.4 on October 23, 2013

Very quiet with a secluded feel and close to the square and local festivals. Very nice owners. Breakfast was delicious but I've never been served a breakfast that didn't include eggs and the portion size was more like a kids meal.

Innkeeper Response
Glad you enjoyed your stay - we are always happy to provide seconds or even thirds on anything we serve - most people seem to say there's too much. We don't serve eggs but about twice a week (you can get eggs at home) - we always have a meat, potatoes and usually something like apple fritter french toast, blueberry pancakes, stuffed french toast, something like that. And we always have fresh fruit and juices. Thanks for your comments - we hope to see you back!

Wondeful B&B

4.0 on October 21, 2013

Had a wonderful time there. Room was wonderful and clean. A little pricey for one night but then again I knew what I was paying for and received what I was expecting

Wonderful Weekend Getaway

4.4 on October 07, 2013

The Pomegranate Cottages were comfortable and relaxing. The nightly desserts were a wonderful and delicious surprise!!!

Great place to stay right on the square. Never was able to find the B&B for breakfast.

4.2 on September 22, 2013

Was never able to find thwe B&B for breakfast. Might consider putting directions in book.

All-around winner.

4.6 on September 18, 2013

They weren't right on the square (though they offer two apartments that are), or right on the lake, but also not totally secluded. However, it was very private, chill, serene, and very comfortable. The koi pond is beautiful and the innkeepers are friendly and attentive, but not overly so. We will certainly be staying there again, either back in the little cabin we were in this time, or one of their apartments right on the square. We were at a wedding and missed the late night snack, but the breakfast was delicious and the coffee was great. I highly recommend Pomegranate House, Tom and Sara Baker are lovely and their b&b made our little getaway perfect.

Charming and beautiful suite

4.8 on September 04, 2013

The merlot suite was absolutely beautiful! It was right on the downtown area near shops and restaurants. Everything you needed was just a short walk away. The room was so clean and inviting! We only stayed one night and are ready to go back and spend a few more days relaxing there. Highly recommend to anyone that wants to get away from the hussle and bussle and enjoy a beautiful place to stay.

Wonderful cottage, friendly owners, clean, quiet, and outstanding breakfast and homemade snacks.

5 on September 04, 2013

Don't miss an opportunity to stay with Tom and Sara if you are coming to Granbury!

Overnight getaway

4.0 on August 27, 2013

My husband and I were planning a last minute overnight getaway and I was fortunate enough to find the Pomegranate House. We booked the Blue Heron cottage and it was just perfect for our needs. We enjoyed a wonderful breakfast the next morning in our cottage. I would recommend a stay here to anyone. Sara was very helpful and accomodating.

Simply Relaxing

5 on August 24, 2013

My husband and I stayed in August for our anniversary/baby moon getaway. We arrived in the evening and were welcomed by Sara and a homemade dessert on the covered porch. Our cottage was so cute and comfy. Tom and Sara have thought of everything to make you feel at home. Homemade breakfast we had delivered each morning and ate on our front porch overlooking the coy pond and beautiful big trees while watching the birds and squirrels play. We will definitely be back!!

Great Weekend Getaway!

5 on August 22, 2013

This was a birthday gift for my husband and we both enjoyed the serenity of our stay!

Blue Heron Cottage - a good place to stay

4.2 on August 07, 2013

We stayed in the Blue Heron Cottage. It was nice, but it didn't blow me away. It is a very nice and quiet place to spend the weekend in Granbury. The woman who runs the place is very nice and will bring your breakfast to your cottage if you mention that that is what you want when you book your stay. The breakfasts are awesome and so are the free desserts she makes. The value is good, but not great. It basically evens out once you factor in what you would have spent on food. All in all, if you plan on staying in Granbury, the Pomegranate Cottages Bed & Breakfast is a good option.

Outstanding!!!!

5 on August 05, 2013

Great owners and very service oriented!!!!

3.4 on July 31, 2013

Weekend Getaway

5 on July 18, 2013

This was a great weekend getaway...everything was so nice and comfortable. The breakfasts were so yummy and the desserts Sara set out were tasty as well. My husband and I enjoyed exploring the city of Granbury. We can't wait to go back!!

The Perfect Getaway on a Tight Budget!

5 on July 17, 2013

My boyfriend and I were looking for a close, fairly inexpensive getaway, and a friend recommended the Pomegranate House. I'm not surprised by how pleasant our trip was after reading the countless positive reviews, but I was certainly glad that everything I read was true. I won't repeat the same info that everyone else has said, but I do have to say: the website pictures don't do the room justice! We stayed at the Blue Heron, and it was SO much nicer looking in person! If you happen to be going to Granbury, you have to stay here!

Last minute trip, excellent time!

5 on July 06, 2013

We booked a last minute trip at The Pomegranate House bed and breakfast. The cottage was clean, comfy and cozy. We loved the privacy and peaceful setting. The breakfast each morning was delicious and delightful. Tom and Sara were gracious and hospitable. We can't wait to visit again for a relaxing getaway.

We will stay here again for sure! I highly recommend the Pomegranate House! The food was fantastic too! They had snacks out in the afternoon an amazing dessert that evening and a wonderful breakfast in the morning!

I really enjoyed my stay the owners were great and the breakfast was really good. I would love to visit again

Great place to stay!

4.8 on June 09, 2013

We stayed right on the square in Granbury, TX. It was great because there was a festival being held so we had to walk only a minute to set our purchases down or take a quick nap after the morning of shopping! Also breakfast over at the main house was easy to get to and they were happy to have us, not to mention the food was AMAZING!! Thank you Pomegranate House for a wonderful weekend

Girls retreat

3.4 on June 03, 2013

A very pleasant stay. Very quiet and had a nice sitting area by a koy pond. Cottage was small, but cozy and fine for us, the sitting room made it perfect for the three of us. Granbury is a fun little town, and we were right off the square.

Great stay!

5 on June 03, 2013

Had a great stay here. Quiet, clean room.

Pomegranate Cottages Bed and Breakfast

5 on May 29, 2013

This bed and breakfast exceded our expectations! Charming rooms, very private, close to the square and the breakfast was out of this world. The daily snacks and evening desert were a very pleasant added benefit.

Great Breakfast

Wonderful place!

5 on May 11, 2013

We loved everything about Pomegranate; Tom and Sara, The Carriage House where we stayed, the outside atmosphere with the pond and lighting, the outstanding food, both the evening pie and breakfast ... It was a wonderful experience!!!

Cannot say enough about Tom & Sara Bakers' place. Gracious hosts, superb food and wonderfully relaxing accommodations. Sue Gil

Quaint little B&B

5 on May 07, 2013

This was our second time staying here and it was just like we remembered it. The courtyard is just so peaceful. The sound of rushing water from the pond add to the calming atmosphere of the place, but the true stars of the place are the hundred plus year old trees that create a canopy over the entire property. To top it off you get homemade cookies all day and homemade dessert in the evenings too. Both times we have thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast and lively conversations with other guest every morning. We plan to continue to stay at this B&B every time we stay overnight in Granbury, Texas.

Nice place

3.6 on May 01, 2013

The best thing about this place is that it is dog friendly and they don't charge you a hefty fee if you do bring your pet. Rooms are small but nice, clean and well-equipped. This is the 3rd time we have stayed her and we will be back again. The female owner is very friendly and helpful, but can't say as much about the husband. If you need any assistance, go through her if possible.

romantic weekend

4.4 on April 24, 2013

We had the best time! The grounds were beautiful and very peaceful. The cottages were very private and the staff was amazingly warm and welcoming.

April 2013

5 on April 22, 2013

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Pomegranate!!! The accommodations were WONDERFUL and Tom was the most gracious host!! His cooking is amazing and he went out of his way to meet any dietary needs we might have. His friendly and outgoing personality made every minute of our stay enjoyable. I would recommend the Pomegranate Cottages to anyone looking for a pleasant and relaxing get away!! Anna Chavez

I enjoyed this Bed&Breakfast for the quaint little cottage that I stayed in. This was different from the other establishments my daughter and I have stayed in the past. I would call this a very good accommodation.

4.6 on April 20, 2013

Visited a friend of long-ago for lunch and shopped on the square. We had delightful weather and showed my friend the beautiful place where we were lodging. The scenery at the Bed & Breakfast was so pretty with a Kio fish pond and many beautiful plants. One building housed puzzles, games, movies and a popcorn machine for our use during our stay. My daughter and I enjoyed our weekend very much.

Beautiful Place with Nice Owners

4.4 on April 15, 2013

Nice location in the town. Beautiful and clean cabins. Nice pond to sit by in the evening. Quiet. Nice owners.

Blue Heron

5 on March 18, 2013

Everything about our stay at the Pomegranate Cottages was better than we expected. Our hosts were friendly, the cottages were beautiful, and the food was excellent. This being our first trip to Granbury, I really appreciated the information on things to do and trolley times. Althogh the trolley came right by, we decided to enjoy the day and take the short walk to downtown. When we returned at sunset, it was like walking into a fairy tale, the lights twinkling and shining off the pond made it feel magical.

Great stay and great breakfast.

5 on March 16, 2013

We got to stay in three different cottages as our room got overbooked. We had a a wonderful time all the food was great and Tom and Sara were very nice. A++++

Amazing place to stay!!!

5 on March 13, 2013

It was so much fun, we only stayed one night but I would go back for another stay. Its a nice and quick getaway without having to travel too far or pay a crazy amount for a one night stay. Everything was perfect about the stay and I will be going back again!

A Lovely Place to stay......

Great relaxing stay

5 on March 06, 2013

our get away

4.0 on March 02, 2013

Great cottages. We liked that they were separate from the main house for extreme privacy. Hosts Tom and Sara respect your privacy. They made the best chocolate cake for the evening dessert and that was a great treat after we came back from dinner. We loved the on site cabana too along with the fish pond. Overall, a great get away from home at a great price.

just wanted a getaway

3.6 on March 01, 2013

It was a pretty nice place....the cabins were just on top of eachother. Thought they would be a little more spread out. The value is good.

Charming and very comfortable

4.0 on February 18, 2013

Our cottage (The Carriage House) was beautiful, comfortable and provided an excellent stay for us. We loved the large whirlpool tub and the kingsize bed was so very comfortable. When we arrived the homemade cookies on the back porch were a sweet and welcoming touch. It was such a cozy setting that we could of stayed much longer if our schedule allowed. We found our hosts to be very nice but not overly friendly (Texans might mistake their reserved nature as being unfriendly but they warmed up very nicely as we asked about the history of their B & B.) Breakfast was served in a charming dining room. Our first morning we had a fresh fruit cup, juice, coffee, delicious french toast and crispy bacon. Our next morning we hada fresh fruit cup, juice, coffee, scrambled eggs in a pastry cup, hash browns and a homemade muffin. We were kind of disappointed that Tom, who is a trained chef, did not prepare breakfast and though the food was good, it didn't "wow" us. We would return because of the overall experience and the quality of our cottage. (We would recommend that the owners remove the small Christmas tree lighting around the Coi pond because ,though it works at night, it looks tacky in the daylight.) Despite minor disappointments, this B & B is definately among the best of our experiences in decor, comfort, cleanliness and ambiance, a charming oasis.

Innkeeper Response
So glad you enjoyed your stay! Most people love our breakfasts - they aren't real fancy - but most people really enjoy them and no one goes away hungry. The little trees will be down in a week or so. We left them up since most folks are around the B&B more at night than during the day. Alot of our greenery around the Koi pond dies off during the winter - so we thought we'd leave them up until the greenery blooms back out. We'll look forward to having you back!

Pomegranate Cottage Review

4.2 on February 15, 2013

This was a surprisingly nice little get away tucked away in Granbury, TX. We had the option to stay at the local large hotel and went for sweet and charming. We we pleasantly surprised and rewarded for our choice to not do big. The inn was cozy, quaint and comfortable. This was a great choice for us with the small living room / sitting areas inside and outside. Take a look.

Best Seen in a Long Time

5 on February 13, 2013

Here's why this was the best bed and breakfast we've seen in a long time ... private cottage, pet friendly, wonderful service, delicious breakfast, clean, very responsive hosts, free third night, and even a bonus fresh-baked dessert in the evenings! Thank you, Tom and Sara!

Best place we've ever stayed!

5 on January 22, 2013

My husband and I spent one night in the Carriage House at the Pomegranate B&B. The room was so pretty and cozy, and the bathroom with the double jetted tub and huge shower was outstanding. We felt so welcome and comfortable.

Awesome, Relaxing Experience!

5 on January 12, 2013

We stayed at the Pomegranite House the weekend before Thanksgiving for our honeymoon. The property was beautifully decorated for Christmas. The music was delightful also! The grounds are well landscaped as well. Our room was even meticulously decorated for Christmas. Sara and Tom are wonderful innkeepers. They are very attentive to their guests' needs! Breakfast and dessert were consistently excellent. We also enjoyed the cookies and snacks! Granbury is a wonderful place to visit! We definitely plan to return to the Pomegranite house as soon as possible! Thank you Sara and Tom for exceeding our expectations!!!

Beautiful place to stay for a getaway from the city. Good atmosphere, very well maintained, friendly people..... I loved it and will be back as soon as possible!!!

Great place!

5 on December 27, 2012

We stayed during the week of Thanksgiving. It was more than we could've asked for in a B&B. Private cottages, the rooms are beautiful, the courtyard is so nice in the evenings and the owners are awesome. The breakfast was amazing, cooked to order! We loved it was so close to the square, it was exactly what we were looking for in a B&B!

Wonderful stay in Granbury

Sara and Tom were great hosts with very nice accommodations. We recommend it!

Pomegranate Inn Was A Homerun

The Pomegranate Inn had great rooms, an excellent bath tub, excellent breakfast, and was very relaxing. We would go there again.

Sit Back and Relax

4.0 on December 04, 2012

This was our first experience with staying at a bed and breakfast and we will surely be back. The grounds were decorated with Christmas lights, trees and music. We enjoyed listening to the water fountain and sitting by the fire pit. It was a spectacular evening complete with pie! The breakfast the next morning was scrumptous!

Offsite Lodging

3.2 on November 30, 2012

Innkeepers had an unanounced catered lunch the second day of our stay and told us at breakfast that we would have to appear by 8 pm instead of 8:30 to get breakfast that day. We were staying offsite but managed to make it. I did not appreciate the pressure - I could have had that at home. Good stay otherwise.

Innkeeper Response
We're sorry you were upset - we wish you had told us it was a problem. We normally do breakfast from 8:30 until 9:30 - giving folks a range of time instead of exactly at 9am which most B&B's do. We announced to everyone the day before that breakfast would be from 8am until 9am the next morning as we needed to get ready for a luncheon that day. You did not have to be in for breakfast until 9am - here again, we offer an hour spread of time - not a specific time. If you had let us know this was a problem we would have been glad to deliver to you that morning - we don't know there's a problem if you don't tell us and we can't fix it if you don't tell us. The luncheon (which we only do once a year) was a charity fund raiser - the ladies who won it had paid over $800 at the benefit dinner. Again, we do apologize.

Peaceful Weekend Retreat

Very charming cabins and beautiful setting!

Loved the Carriage House at Pomegranate Cottages

4.0 on November 26, 2012

Room was great - nice and big with all the amenities you could think of: mini fridge stocked with 2 waters, a little fireplace, tv/dvd player, luxurious comfy bed, robes, bubble bath for the huge jet tub, local magazines with shops and restaurant listings, alarm clock and a porch out front with a serene view. Outdoor area is so pretty with a koi pond and canopy of large old trees. Hosts were great and breakfast was really delicious. Snacks, too. Granbury square is great fun and the whole weekend was so relaxing. Highly recommend!

Really enjoyed our stay

5 on November 21, 2012

We traveled about an hour to spend a night away from the children. Pomegranate Cottages were quaint and quiet. Sara and Tom were pleasant inn keepers and served a delicious breakfast. The garden was decorated for christmas, and they have a gas "firepit" for the chilly evening. It is too far to walk to the square, but we found ample parking.

very nice getaway for couples

5 on November 12, 2012

For my husbands birthday, I wisked him away from the stress of work and home to spend the night in this lovely B&B. The innkeepers were so nice and left us to have our privicy in our sweet cabin with large tub. There was also a refrigerator for drinks and snacks in case you want to bring. We took a long walk in a park that is a 5 minute walk from the B&B. Lovely garden and lovely porch. Great breakfast. We will definitely be back. Downtown is very pretty and Lake Granbury is as well. All like 5 mins. away.

October 25, 2012

5 on November 09, 2012

We had a beautiful evening at the Pomegranate Cottages Bed & Breakfast. We stayed in the romantic cozy Carriage house cottage. The bathroom is perfect with a whirlpool tub and a shower with three shower heads one in reach to accommodate a small child. Luxurious towels and bathrobes to lounge in while flipping through all the available cable channels on the large flat screen t.v. Sara delivered our breakfast to our cottage at 9:30 am. A beautiful tray with eggs, ham, fruit bowl and coffee & juice. This was our best experience at a Bed & Breakfast. Highly recommend ! Thank you, Tom & Sara Baker. Sincerely, Chris & Sharon Spires

Great place to stay in Granbury

5 on November 05, 2012

My wife and I spent three days at the Pomegranate House last week. We elected to stay in the Carriage House cottage, which is detached from the other units. The exterior looks just like a carriage house, but the inside is fully updated with a king sized four poster bed, small fridge, generous bathroom and shower. Attention to design detail was exceptional. We even had our own little porch to enjoy a glass of wine or cup of coffee. The room was directly on the busy road into town, so there was quite a bit of traffic noise during the day. But traffic almost disappeared completely after sunset; we slept great and weren’t bothered by it at all. Because the cottage faced into the courtyard, we enjoyed excellent privacy and would never have known that cars were driving by if we didn’t hear them. It is also helpful that the Pomegranate is situated about a half mile from the Granbury town square. So walking to dinner or to the store was easily doable (side note: many of the local restaurants are BYOB!). While the room and grounds are very pleasant, it is the food that really makes this inn a treasure. The breakfasts were robust and well balanced. Owners Tom and Sara each have culinary backgrounds and it shows. All three breakfasts were terrific. As an additional treat, desert is served each evening after dinner. While all three deserts were great, my absolute favorite was the chocolate pecan pie. Cookies are available 24x7, too! If we find ourselves in the Granbury, Texas vicinity again, I am pretty sure I know where we will be staying!

A nice place to stay...

4.4 on November 04, 2012

We had to leave before breakfast, so I can't say how good it was...but it certainly appeared to be wonderful.

Cute and Quirky Place

4.4 on October 24, 2012

We stayed at the Pecan Cottage which was very nice, but wish we could have gotten a room at the Pomegranate House. I loved the courtyard and the koi pond. Next time I will plan better. We did not have the opportunity to meet Tom, but Sara is very nice and a great cook. The desserts she set out every night were great!

Pearl in Granbury

4.8 on October 15, 2012

We arrived at Pomegranate B & B on Wednesday, October 10th. We, 3 gals, stayed in the Garden Cottage. We really loved the intimate cottage setting - very clean, up to date, 2 tvs, small refrigerator and beautiful surroundings. We were also very impressed with historic downtown Granbury and would recommend it to anyone looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of a big city! E. Berry

LOVED IT!!!

A couple of nights away

5 on September 18, 2012

We spent a couple of nights at the Pom house because we were needing a break from the city. It was a wonderful, quiet, special time. My wife and I both were blessed by the hospitality and the little touches that made it special. The Baker's had gone away for the week to visit family and the people that filled in were wonderful and made the experience that much more delightful.

Great little hideaway

3.2 on September 09, 2012

We enjoyed the stay. Room/cottage was quaint and quiet. TV screen was a bit small for watching a movie but the porch with chairs and water fall/pond made up for that.

Very nice B&B

The roses ordered were gorgeous. Very clean, private and a beautiful garden.

Absolutely the Best B & B we've ever experienced!

4.8 on August 14, 2012

Everything about our stay at Pomegranate House was so enjoyable! I am a very "picky" person and this place met my needs for cleanliness and order. My wife and I loved the Carriage Cottage decor and the great large bathroom with both double shower and jacuzzi tub. Sara was so friendly and hospitable in addition to being a great cook! The garden courtyard was so relaxing and peaceful, too! We will be back! Thank you so much, Tom and Sara!

Absolutely loved it!

5 on August 12, 2012

My husband and I live in the DFW area and decided to get away for just a night last minute. I came across this place on this website and after reading the reviews we booked the last room available. Absolutely LOVED it! It was so cozy, so peaceful. The KOI pond was beautiful. I loved the privacy we felt even if the cottages are close together. Loved the little porches. Room was lovely. Bathroom was clean. The breakfast was outstanding and they even deliver it to your door if you request it. We will absolutely be back and recommend it to our friend.! Thank you so much for a fabulous time.

It Worked!!!

4.6 on August 07, 2012

My husband & I just needed to get away, even for just 1 night. I found Pomegranate House on line & thought it might work. It did! We got there & when my husband saw the courtyard with the Koi pond he said "This is great". Even though it was warm out (103, I think) we sat on the Blue Heron porch, drank wine, ate the cheese/fruit/crackers that Sara brought to us, talked & listened to the waterfall. So relaxing! Saturday morning we had our coffee on the porch & saw all different kinds of birds at the waterfall. Absolutely loved it! We will be back!

Summer Visit

4.6 on July 30, 2012

We enjoyed a wonderful evening at this beautiful B&B - sitting on the porch, listening to the sounds of the pond, visiting with the other guests - what a great time! Our Hostess was very attentive to our needs and exceeded my expectations. I would recommend this location to anyone at anytime! I can't wait to go back during the Holidays!!

Tucked away in Granbury

3.4 on July 27, 2012

The Pomegranate House is a nice little b&b in Granbury. It's nice if you're looking for something off the beaten path, and many rooms are actually small cottages so you have a good bit of privacy. Not extremely fancy, but a nice place to stay.

Pomegranate Lake House

5 on July 25, 2012

We stayed at the Pomegranate Lake house over a weekend. It was absolute value for the money! The house was extremely clean, and had everything in it you that could possibly need or want! There were board games, movies, extra pillows, blankets, towels, dishes - all you need to bring are yourselves, your luggage, some food, and don't forget the fishing poles because the house really IS only feet away from the lake! The house was beautifully decorated and the view from the back porch of the lake was lovely. We will DEFINITELY be going back! :-)

great cottage....

4.0 on July 25, 2012

very private, well kept, charming...just don't ring the doorbell twice when you arrive, the husband owner will not be too happy with you...

Innkeeper Response
Sorry if he was a little short - he is on crutches and it takes him a while to get to the door. We do apologize.

Not worth the money

1.4 on July 25, 2012

My significant other and I recently stayed at the Pomegranate House & Cottages. Sara, the "hostess" was unfriendly and unhelpful. When asked for assistance her attitude was as if we were bothering her. We tried to watch a movie in our room. The DVD player installed in the TV was not working. We asked her for assistance. She did come to look at it. She said that the young lady who stayed in the room earlier that week stated that the remote was not working. Then said Oh well, you will just have to watch TV. Breakfast is claimed be gourmet. REALLY?? French toast, sausage and fried potato wedges. hmmmm.... Overall the stay/room was not worth the price. The room had cobwebs along the windows, baseboards and corners. The towels had mildewed at one point- and smelled. The jaquisse did not work properly-it kept leaking water and then the jets would be on top of the water and shoot the water all over the bathroom. Not a pleasant romantic experience.

Very Relaxing!

4.2 on July 11, 2012

We had a very relaxing weekend. The cottage was beautiful, very clean, and quiet. We enjoyed the porch and sitting in teh garden. Would recommend it for a weekend get-away.

Perfect honeymooners getaway

3.4 on July 09, 2012

We arrived mid-evening to check in, just as the evening desert was being placed out on the main patio. We didn't realize that not only would breakfast be included, but a homeade desert in the evening. The seperate cottages from the main home allowed the privacy we were looking for with the comfort of a B&B. We really enjoyed our stay and have already recommended this place to family members as well as plan to spend some future anniverseries here.

Pomegranate House & Cottages

Pomegranite House in Granbury

4.2 on July 05, 2012

I had a wonderful stay at the Pomegranate House! The Blue Heron Cottage was peaceful, quaint and just all-around lovely - perfect for a relaxing solo retreat. The breakfasts were delicious (and plentiful! I'd describe them as "farmer's breakfasts!" I hope I didn't offend my hosts when I couldn't finish a single breakfast!" The place was smaller than I expected overall, although the pictures aren't deceiving or anything. But I was initially a little surprised to see that all of the cottages are very close together. And I was surprised to see the B&B in a densely-housed neighborhood. (The Pomegranate House's neighbors aren't NEARLY as concerned with aesthetics as the innkeepers are!) But my concerns about any noise stemming from the surroundings proved unfounded - my stay was very quiet. The location is nice, too - it was about a ten minute walk to the historic town sqaure, and a lovely city park situated even closer. The web site also mentioned a nightly dessert. The first two nights, I was underwhelmed by the chocolate chip cookies that were left out. But I later learned that Sarah, the innkeeper, was out of town for the first part of my stay. Once she returned there were amazing desserts left out for the guests! This was my first-ever stay at a B&B and it exceeded my expectations - I really liked having my own private cottage (I've always found the thought of traipsing through another person's home B&B a little unsettling), the serenity and quiet of the location and the attentive service. If I return to Granbury, I'll return to the Pomegranate House! (But I'll make sure Sarah's in town!)

Loved the Pomegranate House B & B

Inter-generational Fun

4.6 on June 29, 2012

We had a wonderful time at the Pomegranate House celebrating a birthday. The group included women from 23 to 83 years old and everyone loved it. Our favorite thing was eating the scrumptious dessert that the inn keepers left on the front porch each night! We would sit in the beautiful garden area and eat and visit.

best surprise on trip,

Broke up convention trip with an overnight stay in Granbury. We enjoyed the stay at the Pomegranante House and Cottages so much we came back through to spend another night! Beautiful cottages and pleasant surroundings, accompanied by wonderful breakfast!

Pomegranite House is Fabulous!

5 on June 20, 2012

We spent a fabulous weekend at The Pomegranite House! Our cottage exceeded our expectations, the grounds were peaceful, quite and quaint and our inn keepers were perfect! Great to visit with, well informed about what was going on in town and kept just the right distance being very friendly and giving us our privacy. The food? Sara prepares the perfect breakfast! We couldn't have asked for more. Thank you, Tom and Sara for a fab weekend! Tom and Nita Turpin Bedford, Texas

Pomegranate House

4.4 on June 20, 2012

We stayed at the Pomegranate Lake House, so dining service was not provided. Overall we had a great weekend and enjoyed our stay. The only disappointment was the Lake House smelled like smokers had just been there and we thought it was smoke free.

Innkeeper Response
So sorry - it is a smoke-free house. We provide ashtrays on the outside porches for our guests who smoke. Unfortunately not all guests are considerate enough to abide by our policies.

Quiet, cozy and comfortable.

5 on May 29, 2012

A great little getaway. Room was clean. The king bed was very comfortable and the decor was ever so inviting; not to feminine or masculine. Sara and Tom were like your best neighbor, friendly and there when you need them. Nothing compares to sitting on the screened porch, talking with friends while sampling the wonderful chocolate-pecan pie or havinghaving a fabulous home cooked breakfast surrounded by the sounds of birds singing and the fresh morning. The room, service and food were excellent.

Blue Heron Cabin at Pomegranate House & Cottages

4.6 on May 28, 2012

Selecting a B&B off the internet may intimidate some, but we took a chance and we were not disappointed. A sweet note, cookies and ice water greeted us since the owner was on a short errand. Our room reminded me of the beach with the heron theme. We found fluffy robes in the closet as well as bottled waters in the frig. A notebook complete with events, sights to see and maps was a nice touch, not to mention the flashlight in the night table should we need one. To enhance the beach theme the owners provided beach towels for anyone wanting to take a swim in Lake Granbury. Breakfast was freshly prepared by the owner and served on the screen porch. An added touch was "DESSERT" available on the porch each night from 7:30 to 10:00. We would certainly recommend our friends and family to stay.

Our Stay

3.8 on May 09, 2012

Our stay was wonderful! The Carriage House was great! The king-sized bed was very pretty and comfortable. The bathroom was nice and the bathtub is definitely big enough for two! The grounds were very peaceful and inviting. Tom and Sara are great hosts!

Great getaway cottage!

4.2 on May 03, 2012

We stayed in the Carriage House and really enjoyed our time! The bed is very comfortable, the bathroom is amazing, and the whole cottage is decorated so well. Tom and Sara had yummy treats for us at night and an amazing breakfast the next morning (they even accommodated for food allergies). The location is walking distance to the town square, and if you're up for it, there are several miles of paved walking and biking trails behind the city hall/visitor's center. We'd definitely stay there again!

Perfect!

5 on April 15, 2012

Pomegranate House & Cottages was perfect for our needs. We met friends there and the arrangements with each having our own private and beautiful cottage and being beside each other was great. We were able to sit on the porch and relax and visit. Sara was on a trip, but Tom filled both roles beautifully. The evening dessert was not only a surprise, but delicious, as was our breakfast. We will return!

Best Anniversary Trip Ever

5 on March 13, 2012

My husband and I just celebrated our 7 year anniversary with an overnight stay at the Carriage House of the Pomegranate Cottages. It was by far our most romantic and wonderful anniversary stay to date. The Carriage House is gorgeous and secluded so you feel like you are totally alone. I love the separate cottages for this property because you really get a sense of seclusion. Tom and Sara were delightful and the snacks, desserts and breakfast was divine. Our room was exceptionally clean and checking in and out was a breeze. We will definitely be staying at the Carriage House again in the future. I highly recommend this B&B!

Cozy, classy, and comfortable.

4.0 on March 10, 2012

My husband and I chose this bed and breakfast based on their website vs. several others in the area. We are sure we made the right choice. Upon our arrival we found warm cookies waiting, and met our hostess who was most congenial. Our cottage was across the garden courtyard from the main house, just past the koi pond. We found a cute little cottage, complete with front porch with our own little wicker chairs. The weather was chilly though, so we headed right inside to find our cottage was comfortably warm and cozy (it even had a gas fireplace, but we didn't end up using that.) The rooms inside (bedroom and bathroom) were immaculate, comfortable and tastefully decorated, and complete with everything you could want - shower, tub, coffee, ice and snacks at the main house, even fluffy robes in the wardrobe were available. When we returned after dinner there was freshly baked cake at the main house for guests which smelled delicious; however we were too full. Thankfully we had room for breakfast the next day though, as it was lovely and delicious. This B&B met or exceeded our expectations in every way, and we hope to return in several months.

The cottage was extremely cozy and extremely clean, breakfast was delicious and Sara was incredibly helpful! Great weekend get-away spot

4.0 on February 23, 2012

My wife and I headed up to Grandbury for a weekend get-away, and we stayed two nights at the Pomegranate House. We did not see Tom until the last day, but we had very friendly and warm conversations and interactions with Sara. She served us very well over our visit and was a kind host. The room was very nice and quiet, the bathroom and tub (important to us) was nice as well. What we enjoyed most, however, was the food, the snacks and the dessert. We were treated exceptionally well and were talking about going back before we had left the parking lot. I would definitely recommend this place to a friend and, in fact, have already done so.

Pomegranate Cottage Heaven

4.6 on February 21, 2012

I spent several nights in the Blue Heron Cottage. The room was cozy and convenient to the main house for breakfast and evening desserts. I loved the electric fire place for it's ambiance and warmth. The front porch was nice for sitting, reading and watching the waterfall and koi. I spent my afternoons shopping the antique malls and walking around the square a short distance from the B & B. The breakfast was very good. Sara and Tom took the ordinary and made it extraordinary with added touches. The only draw back would be the stone walkway that was a little hard to walk on. I have recommended this B & B to everyone I have talked to this week. I will return. Thank you Sara and Tom for the restful solitude.

Relaxed at Pecan Cottage

4.6 on February 20, 2012

Unfortunately my stay was only one night but I really did enjoy relaxing and the quiet in the Pecan Cottage. Sara was very sweet making sure if I needed anything to just call them. The area is really nice and with the walking path down by the park it really made my morning. Would go back in a minute!

Amazing B&B

Loved it, and I will return!

4.8 on February 12, 2012

I stayed in the Blue Heron cottage for two nights during a business trip. I loved my cottage. It was very cozy and nicely decorated. The courtyard just outside my cottage included a big, beautiful oak tree and a koi pond with a trickling waterfall. I have a very expensive mattress at home so the quality of the bed and bedding are always a concern. I slept like a baby in my cottage bed. I slept so well that I was an hour and a half late to the office the next day! I did not get the chance to meet Sara, but I did meet Tom. He was very gracious and attentive to my needs. I also had the opportunity to visit a few minutes with their very adorable little four legged friends. I highly recommend this bed and breakfast!

Check in was quick, easy, and very relaxed. We were pointed to our cottage and asked if we would like B'fast delivered. The cottage was clean, beautifully furnished, and perfect for the two of us. We drove into the town square (long but nice walk, but too cold) and enjoyed shopping. Quiet evening back in the cottage after dinner. Nice big shower for two. A great b'fast was delivered promptly at 8:30. We spent two nights and look forward to doing it again. Highly recommend the Pom House. Sara does an amazing job.

Me and my girlfriend came to visit over New Years Eve and we had a wonderful bonding and romantic experience. The room was very nice and the art work was went so well with the room. I found this bed and breakfast on-line and went in cold turkey not really knowing what to expect. The atmosphere was wonderful. The cottage was cute, quaint, and comfortable and very private. We were even able to get breakfast brought to us. I would highly recommend this establishment to anyone.

Hooray for Pomegranite

Sara was an absolutely wonderful inn keeper and chef, having to do double duty since Tom was bed-ridden after an auto hit him and broke his leg.

Absolutely lovely getaway

5 on October 31, 2011

I was beyond delighted with my little cottage - Royal Oak. Sara was a perfect hostess and the Baker's have thought of everything! This was my first time staying in a B&B and I couldn't have been more pleased. The cottage was so cozy and private. I'm grateful the cool weather made it perfect to curl up on the comfy bed and enjoy the fireplace while watching a movie from their guest cabana and reading. The jetted tub was so relaxing as well. Felt all around pampered! Breakfast was scrumptious and I was sad to leave. Can't wait to come back again for rest and solitude soon - just loved it. Loved driving/walking around Granbury as well and the gorgeous historic homes...what a fabulous town. Can't believe in 8 years of living in TX I've never been here. So glad I've been enlightened!

Pomegranate Cottage-Weekday Getaway

4.0 on October 26, 2011

The cottage was beautiful. The individual porch was a nice touch. The evening dessert did not dissapoint and it was nice to be able to take it back to the room to eat and relax. The breakfast was delicious as well. Definitely worth the price. The only problem is the neighbors had a very unsightly yard but I believe the owner of the cottage was in the process of putting up new fences to block that. The bathroom in the cottage is separated by a wall and french doors, however, at the top of the wall is a foot and a half gap so you can hear everything that goes on in the bathroom, from the bedroom. That porch comes in handy for those times. Overall, I would recommend this place and stay there again

Innkeeper Response
Hooray! The new fence is up!!!

Great place to stay

4.6 on October 21, 2011

The Innkeepers were very nice. We were thrilled that we were able to take our two dogs. Our stay was very calming especially with the front porch and scenery. It was a nice surprise that the cottage had a washer, dryer, plenty of towels and linens, and adorable furnishings. This is a wonderful getaway!

Great weekend getaway-hideaway

4.2 on October 12, 2011

This was a very charming and relaxing bed and breakfast. Our room was secluded and very nice. Sitting on the porch was so calming, watching the squirrel running the treetops. I came with my sister's for a birthday weekend of a friend and it's a great place for family gatherings with everyone having their own space. I look forward to returning with my husband for a romantic getaway soon as well. Great atmosphere! Certainly recommend it to anyone that is looking to get away and relax!

A fabulous girls' weekend away!

5 on October 05, 2011

We booked the Pecan Cottage to celebrate our friend's 40th birthday and had an amazing time. There were 4 ladies sharing the cottage and we had plenty of space. Sara was a wonderful host, despite a difficult personal situation arising. The stuffed French toast for breakfast was amazing. We will definitely be returning as a group and I'm planning an escape with my husband as soon as I can get someone to watch the kids :)

Great place to stay

Wonderful room with a large bathroom and shower. Only negative would have been that the bed was way too soft for me.

EXCELLENT

5 on September 06, 2011

The Inn Keeper is the best. She is warm and inviting, she treated us like a king and queen. The rooms are very comfortable and gorgeous. I recommend the Pomegranate House to anyone who wants a quite and relaxing get away.

Great weekend retreat

3.8 on August 31, 2011

Stayed in the newly remodeled Garden Cottage. All was good. The Innkeepers are very friendly and great hosts. You can close off the bedroom and bathroom from the setting room but they should really reinstall the door between the bedroom and commode area for privacy. Other than that we will see Tom and Sara again!

A gem in Granbury, Texas

5 on August 29, 2011

My wife picked Granbury and the Pomegranate to celebrate my 63rd birthday and boy, am I glad she did. Everything was outstanding from the get-go. Tom and Sarah have created a heavenly oasis just minutes from downtown Granbury and the lake, and the Pomegranate is definitely on the top of our list for a return visit. I want to personally thank them for making my 63rd bday so memorable. Milt Driver, Plano, TX.

Best B&B Ever!!!

5 on August 27, 2011

Everything was perfect! Sara and Tom were such friendly and thoughtful hostess and host, the food was excellent, the facility was very clean, just the perfect get-away. We will definitely be back. Can't be soon enough!

Our August 2011 Stay at the Pomegranate House

3.2 on August 21, 2011

We would not recommend this for elderly or handicap person due to rock pathways to the cottages and stairs leading up to each door. The gardens were nice and the coi pond an extra. The bonus area room was very nice but could use a television/video unit for viewing movies, etc. The Carriage House unit that we stayed in needs the a/c moved to another window instead of right besides the bed as it got very chilly at night. Overalll great B&B!

Innkeeper Response
So glad they enjoyed their stay. There is no TV in the public area as each individual cottage has their own TV/DVD. A TV in the public guest area may disturb other guests who may be in there reading, etc. The A/C in the Carriage House is not in a window - it is an individually controlled HVAC unit in the wall. We are always happy to help each guest adjust the control dial to their preference. As in the pictures on our website, there are 2-4 steps going up to the porch of each of the cottages - happily, none of them are very steep.

Perfect honeymoon

5 on August 18, 2011

The cottage was very comfortable, and breakfast was always yummy. Definately a place we would stay again. It was the perfect choice for our honeymoon.

Enjoyable anniversary getaway

4.0 on August 17, 2011

We enjoyed a wonderful overnight quick getaway to celebrate our anniversary. Our cottage was just right - clean, well appointed and very comfortable. Sara was a wonderful hostess (Tom was out of town), delivering dessert and preparing a bountiful breakfast. We took advantage of the Guest Lounge, which has a nice selection of DVDs, plus popcorn to enjoy with your movie. Too bad the record-setting heat made it hard to enjoy the beautiful courtyard and private porch except in the early morning hours, but that's a good enough excuse to return when it's cooler!

Wonderful B&B! Recommend to all

5 on August 17, 2011

The cozy, relaxing atmosphere, with the beautiful courtyard/pond makes us want to recommend Pomegranate House to any and all! Gracious hosts, Tom & Sara, fabulous breakfasts, gorgeous rooms--what else can we say?

Loved It!

4.2 on July 20, 2011

My friends and I spent a great weekend in Granbury. The highlight was our time spent in the Garden Cottage. There was plenty of space for the 3 of us and the dessert and breakfast were outstanding. We've definitely added Pomegranate House and Cottages to our favorites list.

We loved our stay.

Best Place to Stay in Granbury!!

5 on July 11, 2011

Tom and Sara Baker are the best Innkeepers in Texas! The breakfasts and desserts are incredible. The cottages are lovely, so comfortable and well-appointed. Their courtyard, which includes a koi pond is such a beautiful, shady oasis. Lots of quaint, historic charm at the Pomegranate and in Granbury. This was our second visit and we plan to return again and again!

Great place,reasonably priced,plan to return

4.0 on June 28, 2011

We checked in on a Friday and only stayed one night. We stayed in the Blue Heron cottage. WHile it was the smallest of the cottages it was more than adequate and tastefully appointed. Great attention was paid to details. The breakfast was simple and very tasty. Pomegranate juice, french toast and bacon. The Innkeepers were very friendly yet not overly intrusive. The place was very clean. I purchased the optional dozen red roses and the fruit/ cheese platter. Both were as advertised and reassonably priced. We totallly enjoyed out stay and plan on a return trip when we have more time.

Wonderful getaway with daughters!

5 on June 26, 2011

I took my two young teen daughters for a girls' getaway and thoroughly enjoyed the Pomegranate House. The rooms were pleasant and comfy, the food excellent and the Bakers very hospitable. Highly recommend it and can't wait to go back!

My new favorite getaway

4.4 on May 30, 2011

My mother and I recently spent a night at Pomegranate for a quick Mother's Day retreat. Everything about this property was outstanding and exceeded our expectations. The location is perfect: close to the square, beach, and drive-in, but you wouldn't know it because of how peacefully quiet it is. The grounds are as beautiful as the pictures. I just loved the koi pond, swings, and all the flowers. The community room has an excellent selection of DVDs and bestsellers free to guests if you want to stay in and watch a movie. The rooms were tastefully decorated & had all the ammentities we love: sitting room, tub with hand-held shower, separate stand-in shower, DVD player, rockers on the front porch, even candy dishes full of treats. The bed was so comfortable we almost couldn't get out of it! Sarah made a delicious gourmet breakfast the next morning, and Tom brought out his adorable new kitten and dogs to visit everyone upon request. For those travelling with pets, it is extremely pet friendly. Tom and Sarah both are extremely gracious, personable, and go out of their way for their guests to make sure their stay is comfortable and convenient. I hope to return again as soon as the budget allows!

Will go again and again

My second stay at the Pomegranate. It is clean, private and lovely. So relaxing. A beautiful setting and nice accommodations.

Dissatisfied

4.0 on May 29, 2011

We stayed two nights at $165.00 a night which is extremely over priced. If you don't do well in tiny spaces then staying here is an absolute not. The "cottages" really should be called match boxes are a joke. We had our two dogs with us, which again they emphasize "pet friendly" and we could hardly move around in the cottage. I will say it was clean and beautifully decorated, but size and comfort is more important to us as I would feel it would be to you as well. I thought well we're a little cramped, I'm tired from the drive so I'll enjoy a Hot jacuzzi bath. Instead I took a cold pathetic jetted tub bath. There is absolutely no area to walk you're dog unless you want them to do there business on a uneven concrete rock path that if you're not careful you very easily could stump you're toe and fall. I did find a very small patch of ground cover in the far back. By the second night I took them on a walk within the neighborhood. So bring comfortable walking shoes. You'll need them to be safe not to fall walking to your "cottage" and if you have a dog be prepared to take your pooch on a walk so they will be able to relieve themselves. BRING BUG SPRAY. I was stung by a wasp in the bed in our room. The inn keeper did however offer after me informing him that I had been bitten an antibiotic ointment for my discomfort. Nothing was said to the effect, "I'm sorry about that and I'll be sure to spray on your porch area to hopefully eliminate a wasp entering your cottage again." By our second morning we didn't even stay around for breakfast. Breakfast on the first day consisted of soggy french toast and one, yes one piece of sausage. The hasbrowns were the best part of the breakfast and the fruit cup. Dessert is set out in the evening. First night was a chocolate cupcake like something you would made out of a Pillsbury cake mix. The second night was some type of coffee cake. Don't expect any gourmet cooking here.

Innkeeper Response
We are very sorry these folks were not happy - this is the first we have heard about it. If they had told us their problems while here - we would have tried to fix the ones we could. However they chose to write this review instead. We started to address each of their complaints but decided they just probably would have been happier in a motel. We do appreciate their high ratings in all categories and wish them happy travels.

Nice getaway

4.0 on May 18, 2011

Sarah and Tom were pleasant and gracious, and the food was wonderful. We loved the landscaping and relaxed atmosphere, too. Be aware that there's not an actual shower in the bathroom (Royal Oak Cottage). It's a garden tub with a pull-out sprayer. Also, the walls go 80% up between the bedroom and bathroom. (If I were a newlywed, I would want more bathroom privacy.) All in all, we would go back. It's a lovely property.

Innkeeper Response
We enjoyed having these folks with us. I would just like to further explain the way the cottage bathroom is set-up. The wall between the bedroom and bathroom is approximately 8 1/2 feet high, the ceiling is about 12 feet high - so there is more than enough wall separation between the two rooms. The Royal Oak is one of our less expensive cottages so it doesn't have a separate shower. It does have an extra wide whirlpool tub with a hand-held shower. Most guests don't mind the hand-held shower as they are only here for one - three nights and enjoy something "different". This is a beautiful cottage and we invite everyone to come see it!

Possibly Granbury's best

We spent three peaceful relaxing days in our cozy Pomegranate cottage. Loved it. Beautiful comfortable accommodations. The breakfasts and evening desserts were delicious. Great place to stay for anyone visiting Granbury.

A Night at the Pomegranate House

3.2 on May 08, 2011

The room was really nice, but we probably wouldn't stay there again. One of the main reasons we picked it was for the dessert and that wasn't too great. The breakfast was only ok as well.

Pomegranate House and Cottages, very nice

4.2 on May 06, 2011

We spent three nights at the Pomegranate. The hosts were very nice and knowledgable of the area. The room was clean and comfortable (the bed was VERY comfortable). Granbury is a nice little town--a great place for a quiet weekend getaway.

Royal Oak Cottage

5 on April 19, 2011

My wife and I booked the Royal Oak Cottage for a semiannual getaway. This was our first time to stay at the Pomegranate House. The only downside is that there is shabby house right next door, but the property is arranged so you hardly notice it. Breakfast, snacks, and dessert were readily available and the owners were very accommodating. We will definitely stay there again if we have the chance!

Best B&B in Granbury

5 on April 19, 2011

This was our 4th stay at the Pomegranate and we will go back again and again. The rooms are spacious, beautifully decorated, very comfortable. The grounds are inviting. Sara and Tom Baker are wonderful hosts. It is in a very quiet location on the west side of town but within a few blocks of the square. We took our 14 year old granddaughter and our daughter and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Not too far, but far enough

3.2 on April 15, 2011

Need to get out of DFW for a close trip that feels farther away? This is a great choice. The cottages are lovely and the food was great. Close to the square yet a feeling of not even being close to it.

Visit to TX

We enjoyed our time at the Pomegranate Cottages. Tom is a fantastic inn keeper, cook and tour guide.

Great long weekend

5 on April 04, 2011

I had a great stay at Pomegranate House over a long weekend. The cottages are great and provide privacy. I enjoyed sitting out on my porch each day and although it is right off a fairly busy road, it is very peaceful in the courtyard. The evening desserts were a highlight for me and were excellent!!! I brought my dog and he felt very much at home here as well. I would recommend it 100%.

Heavenly Experience

5 on April 01, 2011

My sister and I were so pleased to see that the Pomegranate looked exactly like the pictures on their website. The huge trees in the garden, the Koi pond, and trellis were perfect for taking photos to place in our scrapbooks. Inside the cottage, the wooden furniture was ornate. There was even a chandelier in the spotless bathroom. The nice touches that Tom (owner) provided: mints by the bedside, desserts that he delivered to our room, and the dvd's/popcorn in the Cabana room, that made us feel like pampered guests. We totally recommend this place if you need a safe haven where you can relax.

Amazing Cottages

4.8 on March 29, 2011

We stayed at the Pomegranate House on our Honeymoon. Both my husband and myself were blown away by the room and the friendliness Tom and Sara showed. I would gladly recommend them to all my friends and hope to have many returns to this wonderful place.

FIrst Time in Granbury!

4.6 on March 28, 2011

Tom did a great job of giving us recommendations about dinner in Granbury since it was our first visit, but we saved dessert for our return to the Pomegranate House & Cottage because Tom had prepared a wide assortment of desserts which were fabulous! He also prepared a great breakfast and we had a good visit before leaving.

Great weekend getaway

4.4 on March 16, 2011

Me and my husband chose this place to go for one night to get out of DFW. We stayed in "royal oak" and it was wonderful! The cottage was clean, well-kept, and so cute!! The owner was so nice- had fresh baked cookies waiting on the patio when we arrived and even made dessert that night (ooey gooey butter cake-yum). We brought our dog and she felt at home there as well! Breakfast was delicious!! The B&B is located right near the downtown square of Granbury! Lovely place- will be going back again!

Awesome Two Day Get-away

3.4 on February 22, 2011

We just returned from a wonderful two day stay at the Pom House. The service and hospitality were wonderful, as well as the food and our cottage. You must try the dessert which is served in the evening. You will not be disappointed. Tom the inkeeper even took time to track us down on the Granbury Square to let us know that a cottage that we had originally requested had come open because of a last minute cancellation. He then gave us the key, told us to choose which one we wanted, and told us that " even though it was a larger cottage the same rate would apply". This is a wonderful Inn, run by wonderful people. We will recommend this Inn to our friends, and look forward to a return visit.

Thoroughly Enjoyable

4.8 on February 22, 2011

A terrific little place on the west side of Granbury. It's right on Pearl St., and the downtown square is within walking distance. The Brazos Drive-In is a few blocks to the west. Tom is a fantastic chef and host. Breakfast was delicious and substantial all three mornings we were there. The nightly desserts were also outstanding, and various snacks were available all day long. Breakfast conversation with Tom was lively and interesting; he's a well-traveled, salty fellow, and very friendly. Our cottage - the Royal Oak - was gorgeous and comfortable. While we got out and about in town, this is the sort of place where you could bunker in for a few days and do little to nothing. Full cable TV and an integrated DVD player (with a nice selection of discs in the Guest Cabana) provide plenty of entertainment. Wireless Internet access keeps you connected if you must be. The bed is supremely comfortable, with quality linens and loads of pillows. And the tub is beyond large; it's great for a nice, long soak. The grounds are well-maintained, with enormous oaks providing shade plenty of neighborhood wildlife around; we snapped pics of a beautiful cardinal in the pond fountain. It's just far enough away from the downtown area to be wonderfully quiet and relaxing. Definitely worth the money. Highly recommended, especially for a getaway from the DFW metroplex.

The Bledsoe's Review

My husband and I had a WONDERFUL stay at the Pomegranate House! They were able to schedule a masseus to come to our room on a Sunday! Breakfast the next morning was yummy, the jacuzzi tub was WONDERFUL, all in all a great stay!

Weekend at B&B

4.4 on February 17, 2011

This was my first time at a B&B and I selected Pomegranate because I thought it looked nice. This was a special night out for my anniversary. I kept it as a surprise from my wife and when we pulled up she was definitely surprised. She had never been to a B&B before either and didn’t know what to expect. Tom was very courteous and helpful and he showed us to our room and we just loved it from the start (we were in the garden cottage). The bed was spacious and soft and I fell in love with the HUGE walk in shower. That night my wife and I spent a night out on the town taking in the local scene and even managed to catch a movie at the local drive-in which is a couple of blocks away from the Pomegranate. The next morning we were awoken to the sweet smell of breakfast cooking in the main house. We went over and were pleasantly surprised. The company was entertaining and the breakfast was divine. Unfortunately I had only booked one night and the Pomegranate was completely booked for the rest of the weekend. I would have loved to stay another night. I would definitely recommend a stay at the Pomegranate for some relaxing time and some alone time with that special someone.

Very thoughtful and flexible

4.0 on February 09, 2011

I cannot provide a review of the Pomegranate because we were caught in the D/FW ice storms. What I can say is that the owners were more than understanding when I called them (prior to our stay) and explained the situation. They were very flexible and accomodating. I greatly appreciate the fact that they were willing to work with us. I look forward to staying here and thanking them in person.

Much to be thankful for!

My husband and I went to Pomegranate House over Thanksgiving 2010 and loved every minute! From the moment we drove up, we could see the attention to detail. A lovely courtyard lit with white lights and Koi pond welcomed us to a beautiful cottage with taseful decorations and a warm homey feeling. The bed was super comfortable, the bathroom luxurious, and the breakfast well worth getting out of bed for despite the sudden almost freezing temperatures. The fact that they welcomed our dog was just icing on the cake!

We really enjoyed our two night stay at the Pomegranate House. We brought our two dogs and had a delightful time. Sara and Tom really understand that our pets are our family. The Perfect Getaway

My husband & I thoroughly enjoyed our overnight stay in the Blue Heron Cottage. It was a beautiful setting with the landscaping, the pond and all the amenities provided in the room. My husband loved the jetted tub and I loved the sound of the lapping pond water while sitting on our front porch watching squirrels playing in the trees. The Pomegranite is a beautiful place to stay and I highly recommend it to anyone wanting to stay in Granbury. It beats the other B&B's I've stayed at in Granbury in the past. We'll definitely be staying here again any time we need to get away from everyday living. Thank you Tom & Sarah for providing us with such a beautiful, relaxing & enjoyable place to stay. Breakfast was delicious, the room was beautiful & it was the perfect getaway for us.

My husband and I just spent three days at the Pomegranate House that were just great! It was so quiet and peaceful - our cottage was beautiful and clean. The service was outstanding and so was the food. We will return!

Pomegranate House and Cottages

I met 4 girlfriends here for a time of fellowship, shopping and relaxing. Cottage and grounds are beautiful and extremely well-kept and equipped. Food was delicious!

This place was fabulous. The room was beautiful and the breakfast was fantastic. We are returning B&B customers.

Nice and cozy surroundings

2.8 on October 22, 2009

Cottage was very nicely decorated with antique surroundings. Water features were very nice. Had a great time in the cabana playing cards and having popcorn. However, we turned on the heater in our cottage and it smelled and there was a lot of dust and dander on the filter. Also, we could not sit out on the porch of the main house to have coffee as the chairs were not clean. Most of the cushions had cat hair all over them. Other than that we had a pleasant stay.

A fun getaway

4.2 on October 20, 2009

This is a beautiful bed and breakfast, very quaint but very nice. we didn't have a wine bottle opener in the room for our bottle of wine, but otherwise it was a wonderful experience. Breakfast was wonderfull!

Great cottage stay

5 on October 05, 2009

My husband and I enjoyed a most wonderful stay at beautiful Pomegranite House and Cottage. The owners were very nice and accommodating. The grounds were beautiful and we loved the 300 year old oaks and flowers. A very tranquil setting.

Fabulous

5 on September 29, 2009

The room was very comfortable, clean and met all our needs. The breakfast were wonderful, not only in taste but in the presentation. We loved it and will go back.

Didn't want to leave!!

5 on August 21, 2009

I thought the pictures on their web-site were probably better than how it would really be when we got there, but it was quite the opposite. It was even BETTER, way better, than I expected. Tom and Sara gave us a warm welcome, responded to every request, no matter how random, and the breakfast was pleasantly surprising each morning. Their attention to detail is what will make me come back again and again and again and recommend this place to everyone!!

Great Anniversary

Would stay here again. Very peaceful.

breakfast was amazing!

4.8 on June 15, 2009

I don't have a single complaint. we stayed in the carriage house, enjoyed the 2 person jet tub,and the fact that we could control the air condition! the bed was extremely nice felt like an upgrade with silky smooth sheets and lots of extra pillows. we enjoyed that fact that they had a ton of movies avalible for free with popcorn and a microwave. for breakfast they made pancakes, fruit salad, friend potatos, and sausage the second morning we had french toast fruit salad, potato something and bacon. It was amazing! i highly recommend this place. thanks

Quiet, Romantic Getaway

5 on May 26, 2009

My husband and I only had one night to get away from oour extremely busy kid-filled life and we chose the Pomegranate House. Tom and Sara were wonderful hosts. Our cottage was private and the grounds were immaculate and peaceful. Sunday morning breakfast came with excellent food and many laughs. We left with new friends made and feeling like we had been there a week not one night. We were so rested and renewed that we can not wait to visit them again!

a wonderful tiem

4.4 on May 20, 2009

The weekend was wonderful. It is great staying in the separate cottages. Food was wonderful. the area was peaceful and quiet. A quaint town and an even greater B&B to stay in!

Phenominal Deal, Gorgeous location!

5 on May 14, 2009

Tom and Sara have created a beautiful masterpiece at this location! They are so hospitable and the cottages are absolutely gorgeous and perfect for an overnight trip or romantic getaway! We stayed in the carriage house for one night while my husband was on a business trip. It was romantic, cozy, and just perfect for our stay. The breakfast the next morning was melt in your mouth good with a scrambled egg basket, fruit, hashbrowns, ham, fresh juice, and a homemade sticky bun. My only complaint is that we didn't have longer to stay this time, but I'm sure we'll be back! Thank you so much, Tom and Sara!

Home away from home

5 on May 02, 2009

This place is "the" place to stay at when you visit Granbury. The rooms are isolated cottages and are comfortable and clean. There's now place better to kick back and relax. Tom and Sara are friendly and helpful the made us feel right at home. I look forward to our next stay. Sandy and Andy

What a great place! Nice people

5 on April 22, 2009

The cottage was so very nice and private we couldn't have asked for a better getaway from the norm. The food was so wonderful; every morning was an event of cullenary delight. It is close to the square but remote!

Unbeatable!!!

5 on April 10, 2009

I could not have asked for a better experience! Tom and Sara were wonderful and the cottage was outstanding. I'm so glad they came to Texas from Virginia!

This setting was perfect for an extended family vacation! The cottages were charming and elegant. The breakfasts were divine! We will definitely return!

We had such fun!

5 on April 09, 2009

The breakfast was lovely. The nice treat was a dessert on the porch each evening. they have a beautiful, peaceful garden and porches with places to sit and a fire pit.

Tom and Sara are the best!

5 on March 19, 2009

The rooms are beautifully decorated, the place is immaculate! Tom and Sara are most gracious and hospitable! The food is fantastic! I love this place! I plan on returning ASAP!!

Very Enjoyable Stay

3.6 on March 12, 2009

My wife and I stayed three nights and were pleased with the accomodations. Tom's deserts were sinfully tasty and his breakfasts were excellent! The only drawback was traffic noise, and fairly frequent emergency sirens because the police station is down the street. Granbury has lots to offer in entertainment and food, and the lake is right there! Overall, it was a very enjoyable stay.

Pomegranate House

Cute!

This is a darling place...homey, quaint. More laid back and casual than more formal B&Bs. Nice porches to sit on to eat or visit. A little pricey for what you get.

Nice Place

4.0 on January 12, 2009

A nice place to stay. Very unique. Several of us stayed here and enjoyed it. We were a bit disappointed in the size of the room, but it was comfy. The owners have a lot of cats and dogs, so if you don't like house pets, don't choose this one. The food was fabulous!

This was a wonderful place to stay!

5 on November 18, 2008

My husband and I had never stayed at a bed and breakfast before, and now we're completely spoiled after staying two nights at the Pomegranate House and Cottages! We stayed in the Carriage House, with a very comfortable bed and sitting area. The grounds were beautifully landscaped, and had it been warmer, I would have loved to sit outside on the swing and enjoy the fountain and pond. Breakfast was first-class and dessert was served in the evening, capping off a perfect day of shopping and enjoying shows in town. We had an outstanding time and would highly recommend this place for anyone!

my stay at Granbury, TX

5 on November 05, 2008

This was a very nice place to stay.

Outstanding weekend!

5 on October 24, 2008

This B&B was very unusual. Not 'too much' foo-foo stuff and very tastefully decorated. Setting by koi pond delightful. food-very good. extras at day. "Top Rated" for us.

A wonderful surprise!

4.6 on October 10, 2008

The pictures online do NOT do this place justice! Even though it looked great online, it was AWESOME in person! We were pleasantly surprised. The owners were very friendly and personable. Allowing pets is what attracted us, what a great benefit! We will certainly be back again VERY soon! GREAT JOB GUYS!!!!

Loved It

5 on October 06, 2008

It was a beautiful little cottage, cute little yard with the pond, and food was exceptional. All and all, we really enjoyed it.

Loved every bit of our stay! We stayed in the Royal Oak Cottage and it was wonderful. Loved the huge whirlpool tub. The garden and pond is beautiful place to sit and relax.

The best little yellow house in texas!

5 on August 28, 2008

Wonderful food, wonderful hosts, perfect accommodations! Two thumbs up!!

The best bed and breakfast

5 on August 10, 2008

We Recently stayed in the royal oak cottage room for our anniversary. It had just been remodeled and was soooo cute. The owners are very personable, friendly, and very keen on detail. The room was immaculate, everything had a formal feel to it, that you were staying in a very classy, rich and high class establishment. The breakfast was a formal breakfast with the comfort of your grandma's porch. The owners were not hotel keepers, they were hosts in every aspect of the word and we loved everything about our stay.

Wonderful 1st anniversary

5 on June 20, 2008

My husband and I spent our 1 year anniversary there, it was romantic, peaceful and you couldn't ask for better accomodations and hosts. The brunches were unforgettable as well. I can't imagine finding another as enjoyable.

So relaxing!

4.2 on June 05, 2008

We stayed here for Memorial Day 2008 in the Garden Angel cottage. We had planned to visit the town and some of the surrounding area, but the garden, veranda, iced tea and rocking chairs were so relaxing that we spent almost the whole weekend just hanging out on the porch. Betty and Tommy were so welcoming, and the food was divine! We will definitely be visiting again when we get the chance!

Pom House

4.4 on May 31, 2008

My husband and I stayed there last year for our first time. There was no question in our choice of B&B when we visited Granbury again this year. There are many quality options in lodging, but the Pomegranate House is by far the best.

The Best I have ever been to

5 on May 28, 2008

Tommy and Betty made certain to dot every i and cross every T during our stay this past weekend. Their breakfast was above and beyond any B&B we have stayed at. We had our 19 year anniv. this weekend and have stayed at this one twice in the last two years. Thanks for the memories!!!

I will always remember.....

5 on May 22, 2008

......when I fell in love with my man at the Pomegranate House: The setting was perfect. Mmmmmmm, thanks Tommy and Betty. Kisses.

Wonderful!

5 on May 19, 2008

The house is beautiful, the food wonderful, our every need and want were attended to. Tommy and Betty are the best!

Spoiled

5 on May 14, 2008

My mother and I had a short stay at the Pomegranate, but just enough to get spoiled. I've never been to a bed and breakfast before, and I doubt that they are all as wonderful as this one. I had a 100 questions to ask them about what they do and they were much obliged to answer them and provide us when services beyond what I could have imagined. The food was wonderful too!

EVERY YEAR FROM NOW ON!

5 on May 13, 2008

We hunted and hunted for just the right place to spend our wedding night May 2007 and stumbled upon the Pomegranate House. My husband called Betty and secretly arranged champagne, chocolate covered strawberries and all the romantic touches that he could think of to make our evening even more special and Betty was wonderful about accomodating all of his wishes. Everything about the PH is WONDERFUL ! We just spent our 1 year anniversary at the PH and stayed in the same cottage and plan to go back every year from now on. Tom, Betty and their 3 dogs are the perfect hosts ! The grounds, landscaping and tranquility of the PH will make you wish you had booked another night or another week! The breaksfasts are to absolutely die for...you better come hungry!!!!

Awesome!!!

5 on May 12, 2008

My husband and I stayed at the Pomegranate House for our 25th wedding anniversay. This is the first time we have ever stayed at a Bed and Breakfast. The experience was wonderful. The Pomegranate House was the best. It was VERY clean and the breakfast was outstanding. We never expected the service we received. We can't wait to go back.

Our New Favorite!

4.4 on May 07, 2008

We have stayed in Granbury before but this was our first stay at the Pomegranate House. It certainly will not be our last! We stayed in the Carriage House cottage and absolutely loved it. The pictures online don't do it justice. Our hosts were so friendly and accomodating we felt at home right away, and the breakfast was delicious each day. We loved this B&B and can't wait to visit again!

4th Anniversary

5 on April 26, 2008

While my wife and I were celebrating our 4th Wedding Anniversary, we were virgins to the Bed and Breakfast experience, and we could not have asked for a better place to celebrate. Pomegranate House is an exceptionally wonderful bed and breakfast. We stayed in "Camille's Cottage" for two nights, and it was exquisite. From the beautiful Victorian decor, to the dozen roses, the sparkling cider and chocolate covered strawberries, Betty and Tom made sure everything was perfect, for me and my bride. The plush bed was heavenly. We slept better than we have in weeks. The beautiful bathroom with jacuzzi tub-for-two, was wonderful as well. Also, I would put Tom's breakfasts up against any chefs anywhere. Scrumptuous only barely starts to compliment them. Truly a gifted man. Last but not least,by any means, Tommy and Betty are the most gracious hosts. Their warmth, and willingness to serve truly puts most 5 Star hotels to bitter shame. They are true blessings. We will forever remember this anniversary, and the time we spent at Pomegranate House.

Fantastic B & B

5 on April 22, 2008

Wonderful place for a relaxing, stress-free stay. Beautiful garden, friendly inn-keepers, and wonderful food. We felt very well cared for during our stay and all amenities were provided for us. We would definitely stay here again.

Luxurious peaceful graciousness!

5 on April 21, 2008

Three couples of us made reservations to stay one evening. Our hosts were extremely gracious by opening and describing all their facilities. Breakfast was absolutely beyond compare ~~ so outstanding!! Even though the breakfast table had been set for the next morning, the china and crystal place settings were cleared so the 6 of us could play dominoes. Conversation during breakfast was light and delightful. They do know why we enjoy B & B's and they cater to our cravings to be pampered!!

Great Bed & Breakfast

5 on April 12, 2008

We stayed at the Pomegranate House for five nights and enjoyed our stay very much. The room was very comfortable and we slept great! The breakfasts were outstanding. Tommy & Betty are great cooks and wonderful hosts. We could not have asked for a more enjoyable place to stay. We will recommend the Pomegranate House to everyone we know looking to come to Granbury, Tx.

The Best B&B by far!

5 on April 12, 2008

Pomegranate House is the best B&B I have ever stayed in because: 1. Betty and Tommy love people, they are so warm and genuine, that you feel at home instantly. 2. We were served a beautiful gourmet breakfast fit for a king. 3. Their property is a haven tucked away in beautiful trees, you will feel like you are in paradise. The fish pond is very relaxing. 4. You will have hot fresh coffee served on your private porch in the morning. 5. They have the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in.... 6. This property was cleaner than any I have ever seen. 7. I will stay at the Pomegranate House again soon. This time, I will book for more than one night. My first visit was 3/2/08. :)

Birthdays and Get Aways

5 on April 08, 2008

My two friends and I went to Granbury to celebrate our birthdays. We were greeted with the warmth and friendliness of family; even though we were total strangers. Our rooms were awesome. Not only beautiful but very clean and comfortable. I stayed in the garden angel cottage. It had a huge tub with jets for total relaxation. I slept like a baby and woke up to my favorite coffee on my porch, with real cream. However, if you are not a coffe drinker, don't worry they have a selection of teas, juices and soft drinks, etc. Breakfast was very good and I hope you are hungry because there is no way I could have finished all the delicious food that was provided. (Very large portions and a variety of breakfast favorites) No question I would stay there again.

Fabulous Hosts and Adorable Setting

4.6 on April 08, 2008

Individual cottages are a unique set up, very comfortable, private, and adorable. Dozens of little special touches, provisions, and comforts make this a relaxing, "no worries" place to stay. Beverages, snacks, activities, places to gather and visit, morning in room beverage service, amazing "comfort" type food in large portions, great hospitality and stories shared by the hosts.

One of the best!

5 on April 05, 2008

We recently enjoyed our stay at The Pomegranate House in Granbury, Texas. The cottage in which we stayed was exceptional in its appointments with every possible comfort available. Our hosts were delightful, the setting was lovely and the food at breakfast was ample, creative and delicious. This is one of the best B&Bs we have visited out of at least 100 in the past 15 years. Dave & Kathy Fleming

Great get a way

5 on March 16, 2008

We were looking for a place to stay after we went to see the show at Granbury Live. We were also celebrating our anniversary. We have stayed at B&B's all over Texas and we are putting this one at the top of the list. We felt like we had gone to stay with our Aunt and Uncle. Our only regret is that we only went one night. We may try one of the other rooms when we go back. I want everyone to go visit Tommy and Betty and take some time to walk the grounds and enjoy the town.

Fabulous Weekend

5 on March 15, 2008

I have always wanted to stay in a bed and breakfast, and the Pomegranate House far exceeded my expectations. The cottage that we stayed in was lovely, with a wonderful jacuzzi tub and beautiful bed. Coffee at the door in the morning, selections of teas, sodas and the most delicious "pink sweetie" cookies made our stay just perfect. The food was to-die-for and Tommy and Betty were great company and better hosts!

Our room was comfortable, clean and restful. Tommy and Betty are excellent hosts. We love the pink cookies and the chocolate covered straberries. We are hoping that next time the porch of the cabin will be a little cleaner and that we can enjoy spending time on it. We love coming to this B and B as often as we possibly can and we recommend it to all of our friends. We especially want to thank Tommy and Betty for their buy two nights get one free special. Three nights in this beautiful place were and amazing gift! This is our favorite getaway!!

Wonderful Getaway

5 on March 01, 2008

This was a wonderful getaway from the usual weekend in the Metroplex. When I called to make room reservations, Betty described several eateries in the area and made reservations for us. We hit traffic leaving and had to move the reservations back; Betty took care of everything. We stayed in one of the cottages, clean and quaint. The whole property is beautiful but the house is amazing. Breakfast was delicious and they had several types of cookies and candies always around if you want a snack. We would recommend this place to anyone wanting a getaway from the normal stress.

Just to say Betty & Tommy are very gifted innkeepers who know how to make you feel right at home. From the very first hello until the last goodbye, we were made to feel so welcomed, and truly experienced one of Texas best B & B's in the state. If you are looking for charm & hospitality, you have found it here. Cozy & comfortable cottages with plenty of privacy, & scrumptious breakfast. Delicious homemade cookies, and special touches for all tastes! New friends.

No Place Like It!

5 on February 01, 2008

My husband and I first honeymooned in Granbury but at a different bed and breakfast. When we tried this one, we were completely hooked!!! The private cottage was wonderful and comfortable and we loved walking back to our door through a beautiful peaceful garden. The homemade cookies are fantastic and their breakfast is by far the best we have ever had (and my husband is a picky eater!) We would highly recommend this bed and breakfast and already have made reservations to return this spring.

Our New Granbury Favorite

4.4 on December 18, 2007

When we first reserved our stay, we were "settling", or so we thought. What a wonderful surprise!!! From the delicious breakfast, to the comfy spacious rooms, to the overall grounds, to the feeling of being pampered, we were thoroughly delighted. We have been weekending in Granbury for years, and after our old favorite changed owners last year, we have been trying a number of B&B's to find a new home away from home. The search is over.

Enjoyed The Stay

5 on December 17, 2007

I chose to stay at this B & B because of all the reviews that I had previosly read. It really was as nice as what all the others have said. Nice, comfortable place to stay. Great location, Outstanding service. As far as the breakfast goes "you ain't eatin at no Dennys here". Very unique, very large breakfasts. I would go back again.

Romantic Getaway

5 on December 11, 2007

This was our 2nd birthday celebration at the Pomegranate House.Tommy and Betty have created an atmoshpere where you can forget about all of the hustle and bustle of your busy lives and just relax!!!!! The rooms are lavish and well appointed. The breakfast that Tommy and Betty create are heavenly and will keep you filled up well into the day. If you leave the table hungry, shame on you!!!! Granbury is such a nice getaway and the Pomegranate House is an excellant value! We will be back many times in the future!

Our Anniversary Retreat

5 on December 06, 2007

This is probably our 7th or 8th time that we have stayed at the Pomegranate House. We always come the weekend closest to our anniversary. We love the personal attention that you receive and the house is decorated lovely, especially around Christmas. The surroundings are unbelievable. We have been unable to come the last 2 yrs due to conflicts that particular weekend. This was the first time that we have stayed here since Tommy and Betty bought it a couple of years ago. They have done a terrific job and it felt like going home. The gourmet breakfasts are amazing. They are very knowledgeable of the area and the activities taking place. We will certainly come back again & again! I wouldn't want to stay anywhere else.

Warm home away from home

4.0 on December 03, 2007

We choose to spent our honeymoon at Pomegranate House and that was the best decision we could have made. The setting is warm and inviting and the service can not be better. The rooms are charming and instill a warm feeling like one has come home. The breakfast is a wonder in itself. Not only is the setting inviting, the meal is a culinary delight worth the stay in it's own right. As the time of our stay drew to a close we already made the choice to spend our first anniversary at the Pomegranate House.

You Can't Pass This One Up

4.6 on November 26, 2007

We were very welcomed from the moment we pulled in to the drive. Tommy was very helpful about where to eat according to our taste. Betty & Tommy out did themselves with a huge and very delicious breakfast. Also, we had brief lesson on the pomegranate which I thought was interesting. Our stay was wonderful and surpassed my expectations, we are already planning a trip back.

Completley Relaxing

4.6 on November 05, 2007

We stayed one night and it was very relaxing. They made everything feel like home. The breakfast was incredible and the owners were great. The room we had, had a claw tub and were in the smallest room. It was a little small. Next time we will rent one of the rooms with a huge tub and more space. All the other rooms were bigger but this room was very classy.

From the delicious cookies and suntea on the porch in the afternoons, to the tray of hot chocolate and muffins waiting for us on our quaint porch in the morning...to the absolutely delicious breakfast served on the beautifully appointed dining table...our visit was wonderful. The back courtyard is so relaxing and the cottage rooms were ultra clean and beautifully decorated. Highly recommend...the town of Granbury, Tx. is as quaint as the Pom House.

We stayed in Camille's cottage and celebrated our 22nd wedding anniversary. Have already made reservations to return for Valentine's Day (in the Carriage House). Betty and Tommy are wonderful hosts -- and excellent cooks! They made us feel so at home. Lots of nice touches -- delicious homemade cookies in the room on arrival, big fluffy robes, coffee on a tray left on your porch in the morning before breakfast. The rooms are cozy and inviting. A great place for a relaxing and romantic getaway!

My Birthday Bash

4.0 on September 13, 2007

My dearest friends and I went the the Pom House for my 40th birthday and it was the best birthday ever. Tommy and Betty were terrific host that made sure that I and the girls enjoyed Granbury (shopping and Granbury Live) and the cottages were so warm and inviting that we just hated to go!!!! Oh, and the food was incredible; cookies, breakfast and more. Thank you so much for making this such a memorable birthday.

The Romantic Charm of Granbury

5 on September 12, 2007

We found a treasure just a few steps away from the heart of historic downtown Granbury. The Pomegranate House, a romantic inn nestled beneath the trees, is a reflection of the best Granbury has to offer. Our cottage was secluded and spacious, a completely new addition to an already charming arrangement of attached and detached cottages and rooms. We had the most relaxing weekend of romance at the Pomegranate House; we have fully recharged our intimacy. Take time to enjoy the gardens or feed the koi in the pond. For a special treat, make sure you try the freshly baked Sweetie Cookies. Be sure to spend time with owners Tommy and Betty Potts, as they are the heart of the charm of this cozy Bed and Breakfast as well as ambassadors of this quaint little town. We are already planning our next return to this very special place.

Great Get-A-Way

4.6 on September 11, 2007

My husband and I have been guests at Pomegranate House twice. Both times it was a wonderful experience. The owners, Tommy and Betty, truly make you feel like you are staying with friends. And they are both great cooks. The breakfast alone is worth the trip. I love the privacy of the cottages and I love soaking in that huge tub!! From the moment you arrive until you check out it is a time of relaxation and rest. I can't wait to return.

Finally... a B&B with Privacy

5 on May 21, 2007

The idea of a B&B always put me off because of the lack of privacy. Then, my wife discovered the Pomegranate House with their three beautifully decorated and very private garden cottages. The attention to detail, friendly service, excellent food, and beautiful surroundings made for a most memorable weekend. Betty and Tommy's hospitality made us feel very welcome. Betty's fresh-baked cookies are delicious and we are still talking about Tommy's gourmet breakfast. We will be back.
