My daughter's wedding was one block away from Lost Bayou and so was the perfect location for me. I walked to and from their venue. The hosts, Maria and Dave, were kind and attentive and breakfast was very delicious.
Thank you very much for your review and for staying with us. We are glad you enjoyed your stay with us and it was convenient to you. Congratulations on your daughter's wedding and we hope to see you again.

We spent a weekend in Galveston staying at the Lost Bayou Guesthouse. All elements of the stay were above our expectations. The hosts were very friendly and did their outmost to make our stay in Galveston a success. Like other B&B's, this house lacks an escalator, that could be a concern for some guests. Lost Bayou was upgraded 3-4 years ago, has nice authentic furniture and is very well kept. If you want a central, cozy place to stay while in Galveston, go no further.
Thank you for your review and comments. We are glad you enjoyed your stay with us and your visit to Galveston. We would love to see you again on any future trips to Galveston.

This was our second stay at Lost Bayou. Was wonderful just like the first. Was there to stay the night before we sailed out on a surprise birthday gift for our granddaughter. Maria and Dave are an awesome couple and really take pride in their lovely house and in their lives. Cant wait to go back and have an awesome time with them again. I recommend their place to stay.
Thank you very much for your review. It is always our pleasure to see you and visit with you. We hope you and your granddaughter had a fun time during the cruise. Looking forward to your next visit.

I found this B&B just by searching on google for B&B in Galveston. My husband and I were going on a cruise to celebrate our 1 year wedding anniversary and were returning the day of our anniversary. So we figured we would spend the night at a B&B and relax and go out to dinner instead of driving 4 hours back. Since we were staying there the night we returned from the cruise, we got free parking. We went there before boarding and Dave gave us a map of where to go park and gave us directions as well. He was very nice and helpful. We met Maria when we returned to check in and I asked her if she knew of any good, non-seafood restaurants. She recommended The Original Mexican Café. It was very good, inexpensive, and great service. There's a little lounge area upstairs near the rooms with complementary water, soda, juice, coffee, tea, and snacks. Breakfast was great, she served fresh fruit as an appetizer, then entrée was quiche, asparagus, cranberry muffins, also choice of coffee and juice. Another bonus is it's located only a couple blocks from the pier and about 5-10 min from Pleasure Pier and the beach. My husband and I were very pleased with our stay and would recommend this place to anyone.
Thank you very much for taking the time to write the review and for your kind words. We are glad that you enjoyed your stay with us and your anniversary celebration in Galveston. We hope you will contact us on any future trips to Galveston. Have a wonderful summer.

Maria and Dave are excellent hosts. They were both knowledgable about the area and the history of the house and island. They made each guest feel well cared for without smothering them. The breakfast was family style and the hosts did a great job of introducing everyone and making us all feel at home amounts strangers. We also enjoyed being a short walk (5 blocks) from the beach. We would defiantly recommend staying with them if you're looking for a place a little away from hubbub of the main boulevard with a home-like feel.
Thank you very much for your review and your kind. We want our guests to relax and feel "at home" while staying with us so we are very happy that you enjoyed your visit to Galveston. We hope you come back to see us on your next trip to Galveston.

The hosts were very friendly and the breakfast was served family style allowing us to get to know some of the other guests and was delicious. The room was well decorated, but the bed was very uncomfortable and squeaked with every turn and the water pressure varied and the hot water took a long time to come. The B&B was located between downtown and the seawall, which was just 5 blocks away.
Thank you for your review and for your feedback regarding the bed. We are very sorry that the bed was not comfortable to you. We are not sure which room you stayed but we will check all our beds and make the necessary adjustments. Regarding the water, we use a tankless water heater so that there is always hot water on demand. With this system for the hot water to reach the second and third floor you do have to let the water run for a couple minutes to get hot water. We are sorry you experienced this problem. We wished we would have known at the time so that we could explained it to you at the time. We always want to offer our guests a comfortable and relaxing stay at our house. We apologize if we were not able to meet this expectations 100%.
