    Barons CreekSide featured in the HILL COUNTRY MAGAZINE: "....stands out as extra-special" ! And CABELAS has chosen the property to shoot their fashion catalog for the last three years. Two creeks are running trough 26 rolling acres. Listen to the sounds of nature on your porch ..and if you are ready for downtown Fredericksburg: its only a 2 minute drive. The best of both worlds. The "Swiss Log Cabins" were reconstructed from a 250 year old farmhouse that was shipped from Switzerland to Fredericksburg. Rustic elegance at its best. Whether you want a romantic weekend or gather with friends. All cabins have their own kitchenette or full kitchen(..the gentlemen usually sneak into town early in the morning to get some fresh goodies from one of the German bakeries). We can accommodate up to 40 guests in 14 different cabins and the Lodge. Great fishing just steps away from the cabins.

    The cabin was charming and very romantic. Unfortunately the weather didn't cooperate for our trip but we plan to return at a later date. We were met at our cabin by two very friendly cats and we really enjoyed spending time with them. I think their owner was on a trip and they were lonely! It was nice that the cottage was furnished with a small flat screen TV. I have stayed at some that had no TV at all and I find that too disconnected for my taste. Loved the fireplace! But.. I thought it a little ridiculous to have to pay $2 per log on the honor system to enjoy the ambiance. Regardless, we will return to enjoy the numerous amenities that we didn't have time to do on this visit. I really like the fact that it was so close to town but it didn't seem that you were anywhere near town.

    Beautiful setting and a great room. Didnt require any serivice, everything worked. There is no dining on the premises.

    Stress relief with a capital S. A great place to sit back and just relax with your spouse. We enjoyed the open space and yet we were only minutes from town. Thanks for letting us share four days of wonderful bliss together.

    It was our first trip to Fredericksburg and we loved it. We loved everything about the Barons Creekside. if there was one thing to complain about it would be the water pressure in the shower. It was very low and difficult to wash your hair with. Other than that it was wonderful!

    Great wine trip and Barrons is AWESOME!!!!!

    We booked a last minute stay at Barrons in the Mesquite Farmhouse and it was absolutely amazing, very cool property and better than the picture show. The owner was on the property and was a super nice guy. The actual house/cabin had all the basic necessities and the fire pit and hot tub outside were excellent. It was exactly the vacation we were hoping for and are already planning a return trip. Its very close to town but seems like you are in serenity in the middle of nature.......we HIGHLY recommend this place!!!!!
