The "Swiss Log Cabins" were reconstructed from a 250 year old farmhouse that was shipped from Switzerland to Fredericksburg. Rustic elegance at its best. Whether you want a romantic weekend or gather with friends. All cabins have their own kitchenette or full kitchen(..the gentlemen usually sneak into town early in the morning to get some fresh goodies from one of the German bakeries). We can accommodate up to 47 guests in 14 different cabins and the Lodge. Great fishing just steps away from the cabins.

The score system requires a score for all categories. This property does not provide a breakfast, but a kitchen where you can make your own. This is our second stay here and would recommend this property. Friendly and peaceful. We'll be back.

This is the most romantic place I have ever been to.You could see the waterfall from our porch. We had our coffee on the porch every morning in our rockers while feeding the ducks that come up. We played with the dog "Captain".It was so quite.We could see the creek from our front porch. Daniel is the nicest person I have ever met. So friendly and can't do enough for you. We can't wait to go back. Thank you Daniel for having such a wonderful place to enjoy. Janet and Ken Rouse

We stayed in the lodge for a girls weekend and had a wonderful time! The owner Daniel is awesome and the grounds are beautiful. I can't wait to come back and stay in one of the smaller units.

Absolutely wonderful! Couldn't have asked for a better time. Quiet, peaceful, rustic, comfortable. Slow-flowing creek at our porch front was awesome along with the ducks and ducklings. Just about every thing you can imagine you would need, Daniel has thought of. No breakfast items, however Wal-Mart is literally 5 mins away and downtown Fredericksburg is 5 mins the opposite direction. Lots of restaurants and shopping.Can't go wrong.

My wife and I went here as a "get away" and it was absolutely perfect. We stayed in the Grindelwald and it was wonderfully appointed. We felt secluded given the amount of beautiful landscaping around and a view close to the little stream. It was very quiet and peaceful and the bed was comfortable. If we had turned it on, I might say that the TV was a little small and there was no DVD player, but we never even turned the thing on in 4 days. We enjoyed the surrounding nature and a few good books on the couch in front of a fire! (It was 36 degrees in May, who would have thought!!) The dinner provided by MyOwnChef was exquisite. We will certainly be coming back and I look forward to the next trip.

We only stayed two nights and loved our time here in Fredericksburg. The cabin was cute, very clean, all the amenities we needed and loved the property at Baron's Creekside. Very relaxing, just what we needed at the end of our mini vacation. Met Daniel, who was very nice and welcoming, thank you for our wonderful stay and we definitely will come back.

My husband and I stayed at Barons Creekside May 2013. We stayed in one of the swiss lodges titled "Rhine Falls". The cabin was beautiful. I cannot find any negatives to report. The owner clearly paid attention to every detail of this cabin. It was extremely clean. Cozy yet spacious. The cabin comes with everything you could possibly need including all kitchen supplies. The cupboard was stocked with coffee, tea, etc. All you need to do is pack a bag with your clothes and other personal items. Everything else you will find in the cabin. The grounds near our cabin were real pretty. Our cabin was located right next to the water fall. The weather did not give us the opportunity to leave our screened door open to fall asleep to the sound of the water. Hopefully next time. We had our own fire pit. BBQ grill. 2 patio sitting areas with a total of 4 rocking chairs. To sum it up Barons Creek was perfect for us. I will recommend this place to anyone looking for a perfect, beautiful, relaxing, quiet place for a vacation. I will make a return visit for sure.
