This historically designated, award winning home has been restored to its original 1910 grandeur, filled with an eclectic mix of boutique hotel amenities, antiques, modern touches, folk art collections and an art gallery in the downstairs area. It is centrally located, within five minutes of downtown, the medical center, the Fort Worth Zoo, the Cultural District, Botanic Gardens, Water Gardens, and TCU. The three guest rooms in the main house are all furnished with luxurious king or queen sized beds, relaxing sitting areas and private baths with claw footed tubs for showers or soaking baths. Guests are afforded complete privacy; however, if desired, they may enjoy the parlor, living room with fireplace, dining room, and large wrap around porch. Two suites in our carriage house have queen beds, TV, VCR, refrigerator, two-person jacuzzi tubs and a two-person in-room sauna. Chef prepared breakfast, described by one of the guests as, "fit for visiting royalty," may be served in either the dining room or to your room and will be a gourmet treat with local, organic, seasonal fruit and yogurt, as well as a variety of egg dishes and homemade breads, scones and muffins, juice, coffee and tea. Other amenities include HD television, individual coffee makers, afternoon snacks and beverages, laundry service for extended stays and off-street parking. With flexible check-in and check-out times and breakfast served from 9-10 am (unless requested differently), you are encouraged to relax, enjoy your surroundings and be pampered.

A Perfect Getaway

4.8 on March 17, 2015

A perfect quick getaway! Very quiet, comfortable, and cozy! I highly recommend the Tejas Room!

Innkeeper Response
I am so glad to know that other people like the Tejas room, it is decorated with folk art and ceramics from our many trips to Mexico, and a beautiful quilt from Santa Fe. Hope to see you for a longer stay, next time- and see all the fun things in town!

wonderful B &B experience!

5 on January 24, 2013

We were overwhelmed with the warm hospitality of our host. This was our first time visiting Fort Worth & she couldn't have been more helpful with suggestions & directions to make our stay enjoyable. Our room, the Land of Contrast suite, was very comfortable, clean & beautifully decorated. The breakfasts were absolutely delicious & we were offered several menu choices. We highly recommend this B & B to everyone! Canadian travelers.m

What a great weekend!

4.8 on July 23, 2012

We wanted to get away for our anniversary, but we didn't want to miss a particular showing at one of the local museums. We compromised, handed the house keys to our teenagers, and moved in to the Lonhorn suite at the Texas White House for the weekend. What a great decision! We had a wonderful, relaxing weekend and got to see the museum to boot!

Excellent stay for Mother's Day!

5 on May 15, 2012

My mom and I spent 3 nights at the Texas White House as part of our Mother's Day weekend get-away recently and we absolutely loved it! Both Grover and Jamie were gracious and attentive throughout our visit. The accommodations were lovely and the breakfasts were especially delicious. This B & B is a cut-above the rest...great location and extremely convenient to other Ft. worth attractions.

Great Place

4.8 on February 10, 2011

Stayed at The Texas White House for two nights. The Mustang Suite was great. It is separated from the main house so if you want privacy it is perfect. Breakfast was delicious. The home made muffins are heavenly! Jamie and Grover are wonderful hosts. They are both very helpful with suggestions on things to do in the Forth Worth area. Jaimie and Grover are so sweet and accomodating to your needs. They make you feel very comfortable. Kelly and Judy Martin

Christmas In January

4.0 on January 12, 2011

What a wonderful surprise that awaited my husband and I when we arrived at this beautiful place. This was a Christmas gift from my son and daughter! It was so nice. Very relaxing and more than we expected. We were greeted by Grover--this kind man(the owner) who took so much pride in his home and you could tell by his voice what he was about to offer us was special to him--he was so sweet. The room was very well maintained with little hints of "love from mom" touches everywhere--but modern conveniences I had never seen within a room--a dry sauna for instance in the room! Wow! Beautiful linens on the bed and touches of "mustangs" throughout the room--it was the Mustang Suite-- so of course--but very tastefully done. They offered music in the rooms and movies...This place is well worth seeing and experiencing! If youre looking for a place to put your feet up and just "chill" quietly together as a couple and enjoy time together tucked away in a seperate suite all your own this is the place and I would highly recommend you give it a try. Due to weather changes we werent able to stay for breakfast in the dining room the next day but we did take it home and enjoy it the next day and it just completed a very warm and 'yummy" experience. My husband and I plan to go again--we drove away and said almost at the same time we have got to go again--and sit out on the terrace and enjoy the peace and quiet of what feels like "home"!!!

Very pleasant urban inn

4.2 on October 31, 2010

The innkeepers were gracious and our room and common areas were comfortably furnished, with beautiful antiques, and well maintained. The room lighting fit decoratively, but we would have preferred an option to have brighter lighting at times. The food was very good and presented attractively; and they were willing to make adjustments for dietary needs. We will return when we need lodging in the area.

Splendid stay!

Grover was a most gracious host! The room was beautiful and clean and inviting! The grounds were beautiful too! The breakfast (and early coffee) served was delicious and delivered to our room, what a special touch! I will be a return guest!

Our visit for our 46th wedding anniversary

5 on April 23, 2010

We were absolutely delighted with our stay in the Mustang room. We could not have asked for more friendly hosts. They made us feel so welcome and special for our 46th anniversary. The breakfast was definetely FIVE STAR. The beautiful native Texas gardens were fun to visit before breakfast. The sauna and jacusie for two was a special treat as well. We would recommend this B & B to anyone wanting a special place to stay. Thanks so much. Dean & Ruth

Great Night at the Texas White House!

5 on March 31, 2010

We had a wonderful stay with Grover & Jamie at the Texas White House. Beautiful 100 year old B & B was filled with antiques, charm and warm hospitality. TWH was exceptionally convenient to Museums and Fort Worth's outstanding downtown area. We'll definitely go back. Jim Ellington

Signature Dish

Breakfast nachos
As a chef, born in Dallas, Texas, I have an affinity for Mexican food and Southwestern cuisine. I developed a breakfast that includes a chorizo hash and a fried egg served over baked corn tortillas and melted cheese. We serve locally grown produce and the eggs are from our neighbor's hens! Fresh ingredients and cooking with a passion are my signature!
