Want to visit Ft. Davis? You must make a stay at the Veranda Historic Inn part of your experience! David and his staff will make your stay one of the best parts of your trip. The food was excellent, the rooms were so comfortable and cozy. They even made us a cheese/appetizer and dessert feast on Thanksgiving evening, knowing that we wouldn't be able to find anything open around town that night. Their thoughtfulness and attention to detail puts Veranda Historic Inn at the top of our list for places to stay in the future!

The most wonderful place to stay while in West Texas. My husband and I stayed five nights and were absolutely thrilled. The room was beautiful, very large, clean and the antiques were breathtaking. The grounds were beautiful. Best of all, Kathie Woods, the inn keeper/owner, was wonderful in every way. The food each morning was delicous and stuck to our ribs. We were rarely hungry for lunch. A great value that will not disappoint. We cannot recommend this inn enough! A great, great value!

We have stayed at The Veranda in Fort Davis 4 times. Although we enjoy the accommodations, the breakfast is skimpy in terms of portions compared to the many B&B's we have stayed at. It would be nice to have a choice of non-sweet pastry instead of very sweet.
