Historic adobe inn built in 1883 offering spacious, antique filled rooms, suites, and cottages. The oldest hotel in West Texas, the Veranda hosted Commanche Chief Quanah Parker in 1884. All rates include a hearty homemade breakfast. The Inn offers quiet verandas and gardens and is located within walking distance of the town square. Vacation rentals and cottages are available. We strive to give guests the information and direction they need to enjoy the Davis Mountains and Big Bend areas of West Texas. Located 25 miles from Alpine and 21 miles from Marfa.

5 out of 5Veranda Historic Inn - a piece of heaven in Ft. Davis
November 28, 2010
Want to visit Ft. Davis? You must make a stay at the Veranda Historic Inn part of your experience! David and his staff will make your stay one of the best parts of your trip. The food was excellent, the rooms were so comfortable and cozy. They even made us a cheese/appetizer and dessert feast on Thanksgiving evening, knowing that we wouldn't be able to find anything open around town that night. Their thoughtfulness and attention to detail puts Veranda Historic Inn at the top of our list for places to stay in the future!
5 out of 5A Real Stage Coach Inn, Wild West TX
November 16, 2009
For all of you that like a retreat this it! NO TV, Original Wild West rooms and a Mick Jager hide away ranch down the road. An old stage coach INN B&B fantastic breakfast and wonderful lady named Katie, 100% real thing for all you Brits! Unreal place to stay! It has the internet too. This Brit loves it!
5 out of 5Outstanding!
October 08, 2009
The most wonderful place to stay while in West Texas. My husband and I stayed five nights and were absolutely thrilled. The room was beautiful, very large, clean and the antiques were breathtaking. The grounds were beautiful. Best of all, Kathie Woods, the inn keeper/owner, was wonderful in every way. The food each morning was delicous and stuck to our ribs. We were rarely hungry for lunch. A great value that will not disappoint. We cannot recommend this inn enough! A great, great value!

4.0 out of 5Breakfast at The Veranda
February 26, 2008
We have stayed at The Veranda in Fort Davis 4 times. Although we enjoy the accommodations, the breakfast is skimpy in terms of portions compared to the many B&B's we have stayed at. It would be nice to have a choice of non-sweet pastry instead of very sweet.

I stayed with a friend october 12, at the veranda, had a very nice room, the owner made dinner reservations for us, which was a perfect choice , the room was very pleasant with high ceilings, there was a soaking bathtub in the bathroom that was very nice and there was an abundance of hot water. the breakfast was outstanding. I would definitely stay there again bob
