    Amazing Stay

    June 17, 2013

I came in town to take a test and I don't like hotels. Alla and Rick made me feel right at home. Alla then fed me well and it carried me through my very physically demanding test. I will be back !

    Historical and Delicious

    June 09, 2013

What I first thought when hearing about a B&B in Duncanville was, "There's actually a B&B there?" But this is one place you wouldn't want to miss. Ms. Alla welcomes you into her home with a hug and a glass of wine (what better combination of hospitality is there?), and her husband Rick shows you around their incredibly historical house. Edison bulbs that are over 100 years old and still working well, television sets that are larger than microwaves with screens smaller than an Ipad and actually need time to warm up, and bathroom plumbing that I was a little afraid of using in case I broke the handles, it was all so amazing! Any antique enthusiast will find Alla's house a veritable daydream in which they can stay. Food connoisseurs will also drool over Allas' first class cooking, of which we were lucky enough to enjoy the next morning. I've never tasted a more delicious and (mostly) healthy breakfast. I could have stopped myself from eating that second chocolate crepe. But I didn't. If you are ever spending a night in Duncanville, be sure to stay at Allas'!

    Best B&B Ever!

    May 22, 2013

My mother, daughter and I enjoyed the most fabulous weekend at Alla's lovely bed & breakfast. We travel together often and have stayed at over 30 establishments in 8 countries within the past year. While I loved most of them, I've never actually taken the time to write a review. This is the exception! Alla is the most gracious hostess and really goes the extra mile to make everyone feel welcome and at home. The location was perfect for everything we wanted to do the in Grand Prairie/Arlington area. The accomodations are beautiful and so relaxing. We truly enjoying learning the history of the extraordinary pieces in both homes, and delighted in Alla and Rick's colorful tales of how they came to acquire many of them. If that had been all, it would have been enough....but NO! The icing on the cake was the BREAKFAST!!! I cannot even describe how wonderful it was. Simply the most amazing food I've ever experienced at any B&B. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. I hope to visit Alla's again soon. Julia (with Carole & Shelby) from Krum, Texas

    Fun and Delicious!

    May 22, 2013

My husband and I celebrated our 2 year anniversary at Alla's this year and it was the right decision. We were greeted by hugs from Alla and a lovely tour of her fabulously decorated bed and breakfast. We then moved to the kitchen for complimentary hors d'œuvres (which were DELICIOUS) and wine while we talked and joked with Alla and her husband. We spent most of our night outside in both their lovely back yard and wrap-around porch. The room we stayed in was very grand and we both slept like babies on the comfy mattress. The next morning we woke up to the smell of a hearty, organic breakfast. Once we sat down to breakfast it was all I could do to not lick my plate. It was a very scrumptious and extremely filling breakfast. We made more conversation with Alla and her husband through breakfast and sadly packed up and headed out. Our stay was wonderful and we are so glad to have met this wonderful couple on top of it. Thank you for starting this bed and breakfast Alla! We love your hospitality, humor, and super tasty food.

    Alla's Historical B&B

    May 06, 2013

My husband surprised me for our 16th annivarsary this April. This was our first bed and breakfast in all are years of marraige. Normally, we are so busy with kids and grandkids that the best we can do is a movie and dinner! Alla's Historical Bed & Breakfast was so convenient in location, price, and a wonderful getaway. The bed was sooooo comfortable that I did not want to get up, but when the aroma of "organic" breakfast filled the air and the ring of the breakfast belll, we were up in no time. I look forward to another stay at Alla's Historical Bed & Breakfast soon!
