I thought this place was absolutely awesome! We had family and friends all pile in and it far exceeded our expectations. It was actually pretty cool having the train come by (I believe it was originally intended as a hotel for rail passengers), and most of us slept right through it and those that woke up had no trouble getting right back to sleep. We enjoyed sitting out on the 2nd story patio until all hours visiting, and Candy and Hilo's breakfast and hospitality were GREAT! Very, very nice folks. Excellent value here.

    Very Interesting historical building

This B&B caught my attention because of it's unique look. We were taking a B&B trip through Texas and the Koch Hotel looked interesting. It wasn't fancy but it was comfortable, and Candy fixed a big breakfast, although we had to eat very early on a week day. The trains that go through all night long did take some getting used to...guess that is why it is called a railroad hotel. Still you can't go wrong for the price.

My husband and I had the most wonderful time with our friends while staying at the J M Koch's Hotel! The Breakfast was amazing and the atmosphere was incredible! I was able to learn a lot about the History of the Bed and Breakfast by reading some of the articles that were placed in the house. We enjoyed our stay! Thank you Candy and Hilo! We greatly appreciate your hospitality!

My husband and I have wanted to stay here for sometime now...It belonged to his grandmother when he was a little boy...It was such fun to go upstairs and check out all of the rooms that had been off limits to him as a child, since it was a boarding house at the time...you can't ask for nicer people than Candy and Hilo...we felt like we were with family. We plan to go again as soon as we can.

We stayed at this charming B&B on our way home to Houston after camping. The hosts were very accomodating considering they had a family emergency out of state. The amenities were wonderful, the town full of history, and dinner at the local saloon and restaurant was fabulous. We will stay here again!
