Meyer Bed & Breakfast offers one of the most scenic, peaceful, and romantic getaways in the Texas Hill Country. Since its beginnings in 1857 as a stage stop for travelers preparing to cross the Guadalupe River on the fabled Old Spanish Trail, the Meyer has invited travelers to rest, relax and enjoy life for generations.

My family and I have been coming here for the past few years for our family reunion in the summer and we keep coming back! The staff is wonderful to us, everything is always clean, beautiful and kept up with around the property. The breakfast is GREAT (especially the egg casserole thing!) and everyone is always so friendly. Lots to do in town and this place is the perfect spot to make sure you're in the middle of it all. I hope we continue this tradition for many years to come because Meyer's is like your own little oasis away from the busy city life.

My husband and I stayed at the Meyer for much needed R&R. This place was beyond our expectations. The whole area is spread out you can easily find privacy and quiet areas. We stayed in 810 Mercantile and the view was fabulous. We had morning coffee sitting on the porch listening to the birds, while watching the squirrels and deer. The breakfast was excellent, much to choose from. In the evening we sat in the screened in porch, lit a fire in the fireplace, drank wine and listened to music. We had the porch all to ourselves. We are already talking about getting a group of our friends together in March to celebrate my husband's birthday. Want to share this wonderful place with them.

Very clean, comfortable B&B in a pastoral setting. Watch the deer while you eat a great breakfast!

My husband and I, along with our four daughters, were so fortunate to be able to stay in the Homestead for two nights in July 2013. We had never experienced a place like this, and the relaxed pace, the wonderful food and the peacefulness of the area are wonderful memories now. We live far away in Missouri, but hope we can return one day. I love looking at the pictures on this website! It takes me back to our time there! Thank you!

We stayed in the Gast Haus Suite 411 and it was like staying in a tree house. Just amazing - from the bedroom, just step up to the screened room and it was as if you were all alone looking out at Cypress Creek. We sat for hours on the patio furniture, complete with throw, and watched the deer, ducks, squirrels and other animals. The bed was comfortable and the room was spotless. Just loved the gas fireplace and all other amenities in the room. And the breakfast was delicious, complete with the bread pudding - yes, it's as good as other reviews say. Please don't change a thing about #411.
