    Landmark Inn State Historic Site in Castroville, TX is a property managed by the Texas Historical Commission. Eight historic guest rooms present a genuine Alsatian old world charm. Landmark Inn State Historic Site offers a respite for weary travelers and a unique opportunity to celebrate Texas history. Quaint rooms provide comfortable historic lodging against a backdrop of red oaks, serene gardens and the lazy Medina River. Enjoy breakfast in the 1860s Vance House, settle into a rocking chair on the covered porch and relax in the grassy courtyard, relishing Texas heritage. All rooms are air conditioned, and in keeping with the historic theme of the site, there are no telephones or televisions. A continental breakfast consisiting of local pastries, tea, coffee and juice is served from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. The Landmark Inn State Historic Site is located 23 minutes west of the Riverwalk in San Antonio.

    • Deposit amount required: Our policy is to take the credit card number which will hold the reservation until guest arrival. A charge of $250.00 will be applied if smoking is detected in any guest room.

    • Cancellations: If made 24 hours before date of arrival, no charge. A $25.00 fee is required for cancellations with less than 24 hours notice. Failure to show will result in a charge of the full amount of the room for each night booked.

    A most charming B&B- beautifully kept grounds, great for a long walk, room was perfect. hosts were friendly. We highly recommend staying here!

    Lovely B&B, interesting historic background, well-maintained inside & out, friendly & helpful staff, clean rooms, tasty continental breakfast w/ local popular food items.

    If there are those that would rather spend $200 in a San Antonio Hotel than watching the sun rise in a tree house in Paradise, I'm glad that they do.
