The Lonesome Dove B & B was the ideal place to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. The accomodations were very clean and the quiet calmness of the location was perfect for relaxing. My husband and I are already working on plans to return as soon as our schedules will allow. The owners have provided a retreat which is ideal for anyone seeking refuge from a very busy lifestyle. This was our first B & B experience and we could not have asked for more.

We stayed at Lonesome Dove a few years ago for our anniversary. It was a cold & rainy weekend, so we spent a good bit of time "holed up", but the cabin's interior is so charming and cozy that we didn't mind! We felt like we'd stepped back in time. Luxurious linens & a very comfortable bed. Gorgeous landscaping and a lovely pond. We had a very relaxing and romantic trip. The hosts were very pleasant and helpful, yet gave us plenty of privacy. They have "done it right". I highly recommend Lonesome Dove. Nearby Brenham offers fun shopping & dining, and Lake Somerville offers adventure. Don't forget to stop by the Blue Bell Creamery!
