My Wife and I stayed in the Wildrose retreat for two nights (friday/saturday). We had a beautiful elopement on saturday just before noon. Chaplin Don led a beautiful ceremony with wording very unique and fitting. The personal touches made by the owners made us feel very relaxed and like family. The breakfasts that were privided were home made, and I mean very good home made. Fresh baked bread was to die for. The gounds were well kept and provided privacy. The mile long nature trail with the quirky art work was a blast. Keep an eye out for the tour guide (Hint: it's a cat). Overall the Star of Texas B&B was above and beyond what we expected and we plan on returning in the future.

Just a short drive from Abilene, Texas you can experience a secluded, relaxing and pampering Bed and Breakfast. My husband and I needed some time to ourselves with no stress. The room, scenery, service and food were excellent. We hope to go back again some time.

I can sum up everything about this b & b and our experience in one word - PERFECT! From beginning to end it was the best way to celebrate our anniversary. We choose the Romance package and stayed in the Cottonwood. The room was great and we enjoyed the hot tub, watching the deer come through at dusk, watching all the animals, and sitting outside in a peaceful, quiet setting. Deb and Don were fantastic... they were always there when you needed them, but never intrusive. Absolutely wonderful hosts and the meals were to die for! I only wish I could cook like that. We will definately recommend this b & b to friends and family and we will definately be back!

My husband and I stayed at the Star of Texas Bed & Breakfast to celebrate our 20th anniversary. We were looking for a place that would be quiet and relaxing. I chose to stay in their Oak Cottage and it was as wonderful as I was hoping for. The bed is luxuriously comfortable and the food is to die for. We also enjoyed the private hot tub. If you are looking for a place to just really do nothing, this is the place. Thank you Don and Deb, we will be back.

This was a girlfriends' getaway for three old friends who met over 50 years ago. We hadn't seen each other in years, and this was a great spot to share, share, giggle, and share! We were well-taken care of and yet felt like we were alone. I'd recommend the Star of Texas to everyone!

We stayed in the Oak Cottage. It is much more secluded than the other rooms. The wildlife and scenery were a refreshing reminder of our childhoods. All foods prepared by Deb were gourmet quality...EXCELLENT!!!

We had a wedding there. Great for small wedding and very relaxing. Beautiful view and great breakfast :)) I hope to go back soon to just relax and enjoy the scenery. Highly recommend to couples for a get away.

My husband and I went to Star of Texas last weekend. It was absolutely stunning and perfect. The place is exactly what we were looking for to get married and we were the most relaxed we have been in a very long time. Becca did a wonderful job on our cake and took some fabulous pictures. The breakfasts in the morning were outstanding. Don did a wonderful ceremony and we were very pleased with our vows. I don't know how they did it, but they captured us perfectly. We didn't want to leave it was so wonderful. We are already planning our return trip for next year. Maybe even the end of this one. I would totally recommend you to everyone who will listen. They thought of everything and there was never a moment that we didn't enjoy. Keep up the good work and we will be seeing you.
