Far View - A Bed & Breakfast Estate
-
Let the waters of the pool relieve your tensions of the week or the day. Stretch out on one of the lounge chairs on the shade and sun decks.
The built in china cabinet is oringal to the house and after extenisve hours of sanding is return to it's orginal glory. The passage way to nature is only a view away thru this plate glass window. The chickadees, titmouse, and cardinal are welcome guest not only at breakfast time but year around. The squirrels will also venture on to the ledge and peer into the window will you are dining.
Balcony room has a queen size bed with a navy blue bedspread with a field of cabbage roses and lilacs.
French doors, opening on to the front porch, bring the rays of morning light into the room.
A Far View sign greets one from the street to turn into the tree-lined driveway. The parking is located in 2 acres on the property. As one approches the house one starts to wonder about the history and the people of this house.
Street view to encompass the entire 2-acre city block. The house is ideally located on the brow of a hill with a distant view of surpassing beauty that gives the estate it's name Far View.
On the front porch, enjoy your morning coffee or reading a thick novel on the stuffed wicker furniture with only the sounds of the mockingbirds and the ceiling fan blades turning overhead. At dusk, express awe at the pink sky with the sun setting and the moon rising wondering if always appears this way.

The grounds are beautiful, the property a dream. Special touches in all the rooms with a wonderful tasty breakfast served daily. Attention to the guests was always very accomodating. Would reccomend this B&B to anyone looking for a special place to stay while visiting Brenham TX. Rutilo and Margaret Lopex

My mother and I stayed in the Carriage House over Christmas in 2007 and it was like a family visit. Steve and Linda had relatives in town and we just kinda joined in the festivities. Prime rib on Christmas Eve and a wonderful spread for Christmas Dinner made this far more than a typical Bed and "Breakfast". Not that Steve's breakfasts weren't the best we've had. Since it was December, we did not have a chance to enjoy the pool or the outdoor fireplace, but we enjoyed exploring the grounds during the day and looking at the lights at night. I've had B&B all around the world but have never had such a wonderous combination of hospitality, food, and surroundings as I found here. I wish I could find a reason to go to Brenham more often. Cheers, Charles Watkins, Horseshoe Bay

August 28, 2008
This place was very relaxing and romantic. We stayed in the "Star" room. In the moring we had champagne and orange juice on our own balcony after eating a delicious breakfast. At night we went down to the tucked away hot tub and enjoy the relaxing atmosphere. I would go back for sure and recommend it to others. On our next trip we are going to have other couples come so we can enjoy using the outside kitchen for a afternoon cook out at the pool.
4.6 out of 5Fabulous B&B
October 30, 2007
My husband and I recently stayed two nights in the Pool House Suite II, and it was fabulous! The bed was heavenly (wish we could have taken it home with us) and the deep, two-person Jacuzzi whirlpool with a never-ending supply of HOT water was wonderfully relaxing. The lighting in the bedroom and in the Jacuzzi area are controlled by dimmer switches, so you can create a very romantic mood, if desired, and the room includes a small spa oil pkg specifically for use in the whirlpool, so leave the candles and spa oils at home (can't use them anyway - B&B policy). Also, we did experience a minor glitch with the a/c during our stay, but Steve was so attentive to us and ensured that the problem was fixed promptly. He also gave us a discount on the room for our inconvenience. We have already recommended this B&B to many friends and family and can't wait to stay there again!!

4.8 out of 5A wonderful stay
July 18, 2007
This place is fabulous! They haven't updated their pictures online, and I can tell you the "blue room" has a beautiful 4-poster (not that white wicker). We stayed for 2 nights and were sad to leave. The breakfasts were wonderful! The couple who owns this place is so nice and will talk to you forever about things to do in the area. The place is incredibly clean, the beds are huge and wonderful, they are developing the grounds and it is fantastic, they have a fun flavia coffee machine, and free soda. Then to top it off, a few weeks after we got home, we got a gift certificate from them good for a night's stay anytime through Dec. 2008! I have recommended them to all my friends and we'll be back there soon as well. I doubt there's a better value for your money anywhere.

June 12, 2007
Every year the women of the Sophie and Ed Dybala family gather to refresh our spirts and update our family conections. This was a perfect place for us and we were treated like royalty. The pool was great for the kids and the rooms and breakfast was perfect. Blue Bell for breakfast, we liked it!!! Great Job!
