Ant Street Inn

We literally felt like we were staying in the most posh place during the 1800's. The antiques in this inn are tremendous and the innkeepers have paid such attention to detail. Instead of the usual ice bucket, there was a cut glass container...I'd hate to use the word bucket for this. It was gorgeous. The room was huge. We stayed in a room with a king sized bed and loved it. Breakfast at the attached restaurant was basically just something to eat - nothing special. However, yes, we would definitely go there again. Loved it.

We visit the Ant Street Inn at least once a year and are never disappointed. The rooms are beautiful (we stay in the Galveston). Very comfortable beds and great attention to detail. The innkeepers are friendly and always ensure we have a great stay. It is a very relaxing get away in the heart of historic downtown Brenham. I highly recommend! The Lacys

After our third stay at the Ant Street Inn, we feel the same as we did after our first stay several years ago. Each room is unique and spacious, with quality bedding and furniture. The Traylors have done a remarkable job with the service and decor. An added plus - the hotel is also located near the historic shopping district!! This hotel is definitely on our A-list!

My boyfriend and I just wanted a place to stay overnight last weekend so we could ride our bikes thru the hills of Brenham. What an incredible surprise when we walked into the Ant Street Inn. The rooms are beautiful and the owner is very kind and welcoming. The Inn is spectacular and decorated beautifully. We looked at several rooms and they are all charming and really inviting. We loved it so much we are going back there again this weekend! I can't imagine a better place to stay -- it far exceeded our expectations.

The rooms far exceeded our expectations with the rooms furnished with excellent taste in antiques for each room and themes. We missed out on the roses and chocolates due to making online reservation problems. We were very comfortable except for the eight trains coming thru the town each night. When we returned Christmas afternoon, we were so happy to see that you would be arriving in an hour. We are sorry that the flower shops were closed so we were not able to fill your request for the Romance Package. We hope you enjoyed the complimentary bottle of wine instead. You may also be happy to hear that city hall has approved Brenham becoming a "Quiet Zone" and there will be fewer train whistles once they install the required equipment. My husband and I have stayed here twice and highly recommend it to friends and family. The rooms are great! Nice decor and clean! The first visit was during auction weekend at the Inn. That was fun. The second visit was during a festival in Brenham. Seems there is always something going on in the area. We also enjoyed sitting in the rocking chairs on the porch as we ate our bluebell and read. Nice place to get away from the big city, but not too far of a drive.

Quant Inn and Breakfast. Service was great, nice mgt., helpful. Trains make some noise at night. Porche's and parlors are very relaxing

Our favorite B&B in all of Texas is the Ant Street Inn in Brenham, Texas. Taking up an entire city block, this amazing restoration of an 1880’s mercantile is truly impressive with its soaring ceilings, glowing heart pine floors, magnificent stained – glass windows and quality antique rugs, furniture and lighting in watch of the 15 rooms. The baths provide a shower and an oversized bathtub, double sink vanity and luxurious robes. From the comfort of the rooms to the complimentary Blue Bell ice cream to the warm attentive hospitality of the owners, we always feel so pampered there! An added convenience is the restaurant that not only provides breakfast to guests, but also is open for dinner where pizza and fahitas are quite good. You’ll love your stay at the Ant Street Inn!

My wife and I had the pleasure of staying at the Ant Street Inn in late April. The moment we walked in I felt as though we'd stepped back in time. The furnishings, atmosphere and general feel were a sharp counterpoint to the rat race we normally endure. And that was just the beginning. When I unlocked the door to our room I was stunned at its' size. There was an entry foyer with a desk, a short corridor leading to the main area and a spacious bathroom. Huge, comfortable, filled with antiques and oozing charm... The TV seemed incongruous in such a lovely setting. Accessible from the 2nd floor is porch that spans the entire length of the building. Outfitted with rocking chairs, it was delightful to just sit and take in the surroundings. Being in the "downtown area" gave choices as to antiquing, eating and generally just enjoying Brenham. In a nutshell, it was one of the most enjoyable places we've stayed.

WOW! Its like stepping back 50+years in time and visiting your grandparents house. You are welcome by all and the antique furnishings are magnificent. There is also plenty to see and do all within walking distance.I will definitely be back when anywhere near this town.Thanks for the memories Ant Street Inn

Ant Street Inn is absolutely beautiful! It is beautifully decorated with wonderful antiques and stained glass. Each room is unique which makes it fun to return, of course my husband and I have our favorite rooms. There is also a wonderful restaurant in the inn but if you wish to venture out, the location is fabulous. It's right in the middle of town, within walking distance of the fun antique stores and the town's night life. But don't worry about noise--it is generally a quiet town. We love going there becuase it's beautiful, the service is great and staff are friendly.

What a beautiful place for a traveler! The innkeepers made sure our stay was comfortable and offered wonderful suggestions for things to in the area. I've stayed at many b&b's over the years and the Ant Street Inn is one of the best!

I was in town for a wedding and I was amazed at the beauty and cleanliness of the Ant Street Inn. The rooms are very large unlike most B&B's. It was fabulous!!! Need I say more.

Each room is uniquely & beautifully decorated with antiques and stained glass (stayed with a group of friends and visited each other's rooms). Comfy bed and modern, clean bathroom. Inviting common and meeting areas. Pam & Tommy, the inkeepers, are gracious and friendly. Don't miss the Bluebell Ice Cream tour and free ice cream when visiting Brenham. If you don't have time to visit - don't worry - the Inn keeps complementary Bluebell Ice cream in the freezer! We ate breakfast at the restaurant - very good. Be sure to visit Funky Art Cafe down the street for lunch. Great overall value. Our group will be back!

I have made it a point to stay at the Ant Street Inn at least once a year for the past five years. This inn has mastered that balance between offering social activities that many look for in a bed and breakfast while still offering privacy to those who are seeking a retreat from city life. Must do's while staying at Ant Street include: admiring the gorgeous Victorian antiques, enjoying a cup of coffee or glass of wine on the balcony that overlooks the beautiful garden below, strolling across the street to the farmers market (weekends only) where I often indulge in a homemade pie, socializing with other guests during Saturday evening's social time and completing the evening soaking in the room's large bathtub.

I have stayed at the Ant Street Inn many times with family and friends. Each visit has been a part of a wonderful memory. Pam Traylor is so gracious and makes me feel like I am a long-awaited guest in her home. Each room of the Inn is beautifully decorated with carefully selected details to complete the ambiance. I can't wait for my next excuse to visit the Ant Street Inn.
