My husband and I stayed in the Hacienda cabin at the Hideaway Ranch, for our 13th anniversary. The cabin was exactly as shown online! The bed was very comfy and the hit tub was so relaxing! We hiked on many of the well preserved trails. We enjoyed seeing the llamas, horses, longhorns, chickens and the sweet kitty cars that were all over the ranch. Traci was a sweetheart! She welcomed us and gave us a map of the property. We had planned on leaving the property to eat, but decided to try out The Silver Follar steakhouse. I'm so glad we did! The brisket was amazing, and do we're the desserts. I would definitely recommend this ranch!

Great private cabins. Very cute and romantic. Restaraunt food was great, but was suppose to open at 8am for breakfast, but we went at 8:15am and was still clased. Othe than that it was an awesome visit.

My husband and I stayed in the Rendezvous for our honeymoon after our wedding in Weatherford last March. He doesn't know it yet, but I just booked the Frontier for our 1st anniversary. I can't wait to come back out there- it's so relaxing and peaceful. Hopefully the weather will be a little better this time around because I'd love to be able to explore the property a little more.

This was our second stay at the Hideaway Ranch and was just as Awesome as the first. We will go back as the silence, views, and accomodations are so terrific.

My husband and I went to The Hideaway Ranch and Retreat for our honeymoon on November 24, 2012. We stayed in the Rendezvous cabin; it was very nice inside and out. We loved the little bear outlets, very adorable!! Traci and Jason were very friendly and helpful to us. They have a wonderful dog named Rosco, who walks on trails with you. He keeps you on path, which can be helpful sometimes. We are definitely are going to be going back there for many years to come. Actually going back for New Years Eve!! We figured it would be a great place to go to ring in the New Year!!

My husband and I stayed two nights for or anniversary. We had heard it was far put in the countryside, so we were concerned with whether or not t would be difficult to find. The directions on the website were clear and great and we found it without any problems. It's located close enough to Glenrose to shop and dine out, but it's still very secluded. We liked that a lot. The owners are very nice and answered every questions we had. We liked the laid back feel of the ranch. Our cabin was spotless and we had everything we needed to make or weekend relaxing. They had a steakhouse on the ranch, but we never did eat there. Our cabin had a stove and grill, so we cooked our meals. We also went fishing at a nearby state park, but there is stock tanks that you can fish in. Overall we had a fantastic time and we hope to take our whole family this next summer. I'd recommend the hideaway ranch to anyone!

This was a second honeymoon after renewing our vows on our 20th anniversary. Simply amazingis all I can say. Will deffinitly be coming back in the near future.

If you want seclusion this is for you. Our cabin was clean and well kept . Repairs were up to date. For the price the cabin matched. There is a steakhouse on site as well. It was delicious and cozy. It only seated about 20 people. We will be going back.

We planned our stay over our anniversary weekend, and it couldn't have been better. Our cabin was so cozy, and the hot tub was fabulous! The Silver Dollar was wonderful and the staff of both the Ranch and the Silver Dollar were very friendly. The rain & mud stopped us from exploring the walking trails and grounds as much as we wanted to, but we are plannng a return visit in the future. We would recommend the Hideaway to anyone who likes a simple, rustic, private get away spot!

My husband and I spent 2 nights in Yellastone. It was very romantic, and one of the most seculded cabins. We loved how tucked away in the tree's it was, star gazing and watching the sunset was undescriable from the jacuzzi. The restaurant on site was great food and service and nicely priced. We swam and went horseback riding, and ate dinner outside our cabin next to grazing longhorns. We will definatly be back! And we will bring the kids next time. Thank you Hideaway Ranch!

Staying at the Hideaway Ranch was a honeymoon trip heaven. The staff are friendly and the cabins are clean and beautiful. I would recommend the Hacienda cabin to any couple wanting that perfect romantic getaway. We will most definetly be back.

Our 5th anniversary was made even more special by the incredibly accommodating staff. The cabin was secluded and beautiful. We thoroughly enjoyed the cozy two person hot tub under the Texas stars! We highly recommend Hideaway Ranch to anyone that wants a serene romantic getaway!

This was our third trip to Hideaway Ranch. We have enjoyed all three of the cabins. The owners are friendly and it is quite and relaxing. Can't wait for the next trip out there.

I called late in the evening to arrange a last minute getaway. Tracy had a cabin available for me and emailed me the map. I will be back. Everyone was so friendly and the cabin was very clean.

My family of four really, really enjoyed our stay at The Hideway Ranch and Retreat. Jason and Traci are so gracious and their property is one we will return to again in the near future! If you get a chance do NOT miss eating at the Silver Dollar Steakhouse on the grounds of the Hideway Ranch! My husband has fallen in love with the great food they serve. If in the Glen Rose area, make sure you make a reservation to stay at The Hideaway Ranch and Retreat....you'll be glad you did!

My husband and I spent a long extended weekend to celebrate our 1st wedding anniversary at The Hideaway Ranch in the Buena Vista cabin. The view was wonderful and so peaceful. We loved going swimming, hiking and enjoying the beautiful star filled skies at night while sitting in the hot tub. The food at the Silver Dollar was delicious. Everyone was so nice, helpful and friendly. We will be back!!!

We had the best getaway at the Hideaway. It was a bit farther out than I thought, but once we got there we absolutely didn't care about the drive. We go to Glen Rose every summer and this year decided to stay somewhere a little nicer. We are usually ready to go home after 2 days but, this time we kept wishing for just a day or two more. We cant wait to return and next time plan to stay longer if we can. We ate at the Silver Dollar cafe on our last night and it was so much fun and Delicious!!!

My husband and I stayed for a weekend to celebrate our 5 year anniversary. It couldn't have been more perfect! It's a great retreat, close enough to DFW, but really out of the city. We ate dinner at their restaurant on the property. We liked it so well that we had breakfast there the next day. The hot tub was relaxing and our cabin (the Hacienda) was very secluded. We watched a meteor shower and the stars from the hot tub. Very cool! Also, Traci is a lovely host. We will DEFINITELY be returning in the future! It's our new getaway spot to unwind. We loved our brief stay at the Hideaway Ranch and Retreat! We will definitely go back when it is a little cooler outside so we can enjoy more of the fun things they have to do there. The staff were all so, super friendly and treated us like friends, not customers. We chatted with them and our kids played with thier kids for awhile. We had a blast and like I said, will definitely be back in the fall/winter!

What an unexpected treasure! My daughter and I booked an impromptu weekend trip at the Hideaway Ranch and immediately fell in love with the place. Even weeks later, still talking about how extremely friendly and courteous the staff was. We will definitely be back!!

We stayed at the Hideaway for two nights, just to get away to some peace and quiet with our two small children. We stayed in the Chateau cabin, and it was delightful. Everything we needed was in the cabin... such a clean and comfy and cute place to stay. My only advice would be, take a white noise machine if you are a light sleeper, because the air conditioner and refrigerator make noise off and on. They are not loud and didn't bother my kids a bit, but I (the light sleeper in the family) noticed them. The hot tub out on the back porch was so relaxing and romantic for my husband and me. One afternoon it rained, and we sat on the front porch watching the rain, sipping wine, and enjoying good books while our children napped inside the cabin. The Silver Dollar Steakhouse served delicious food in a really great atmosphere, and there was even live music in the cantina after dinner. The kids loved the pool. Traci, one of the owners, is super-sweet and so accommodating. I wasn't around her husband as much, but he seemed nice too. It was the most relaxing weekend we have spent away with our two kids. We loved it, and can't wait to go back as a couple!!

The individual cabins are outstanding! Clean, roomy and comfortable. Love that they are all very far apart and secluded, had a lot of privacy. Hot tub was clean and very relaxing. Management was very helpful in scheduling with the massages. Restaurant on site was small but very good food, good price. Hope to return there soon. Loved it!

The Hideaway Ranch is a great place to get away. Before we left we were already planning our next trip back!

We stayed 1 night and we felt like we were in another world!! It was SO relaxing, gorgeous hiking, the kids loved the scavenger hunts around the property, and the hot tub on our back patio was fun for everyone!! The kids used it and played like a pool for a while, then they went to bed and we enjoed some adult time just relaxing and unwinding! It was SO wonderful!! And the staff was SO friendly and being arounf all of the farm animals was just fascinating for the kids!

It is not often that you go on a vacation and the owners and staff are truly happy to see you. You will feel at home and welcome in your stay, your meals, and all the activities that you will find there. On Saturday night they have live music outside. It's not too loud so you can talk at your table and enjoy an adult beverage (you have to bring your own) and enjoy the evening. Be sure to make a reservation at the restaurant and enjoy some of the best BBQ around. The cabin was secluded and private, the archery was fun, fishing was in small little ponds on site and the horse-back riding was great. It was a super weekend and we will be back!

We realy enjoyed our stay, the location was perfect for a relaxing getaway. We were secluded enough to enjoy a quiet evening in the hot tub and enjoy the view but close enough to plenty of activities. We loved the food on location and taking a horseback ride around some of the trails on site. I've already recommended the Hideaway to a friend!

This is our 2nd time to stay here and we all enjoyed it very much. Our 15 year old daughter does not get excited about too much but from the moment we turned in the drive her smile got bigger.The archery and fishing were a start, then swimming at the swimming hole followed by a soak in the hot tub finished the day. The horse ride the next morning was so relaxing and a great way to greet the day. The food was excellent. Would recommend this for anyone who just wants to get away from it all.

The location is wonderful. The arrangement of the Ranch Homes is great. The swimming pool was wonderful. The owners are very nice. The ranch has a homey atmosphere. The food at the resturant was delicious. We loved all of the roaming animals. The town area was cute, but we was hoping for a more "alive" town. The empty buildings, kinda scattered around wasn't real entertaining for us. An organized town with a Main Street with a Dry Goods Store, Sheriff's Office, Dr's Office, Livery Stable, etc. would have been nice. Our Ranch House needed repairs. It wasn't as clean as I wish it could have been. The AC unit didn't work in the B.ath room. We had a bedroom on the west/south side & it was burning hot all night. We did have a plumbing problem, but it was fixed quickly. We had plenty of towels & wash cloths. The landscaping has been negleted. Our Home had a rock fountain in front, but it didn't work. It was overgrown.

We had a wonderful time at the Hideaway. Our cabin was amazing and the service was outstanding! I'm glad we had a chance to eat a steak at the Silver Dollar Steakhouse, it was by far the best steak I have ever had. We will definitely be coming back to stay at the Hideaway several more times.

We have stayed at the Hideaway several times and each visit has been most enjoyable. Traci and Jason are wonderful hosts and always make us feel welcome. This visit was very impromtu. We had a thwarted vacation to Dauphin Island, Alabama due to the Tropical storm and our first thought was to regroup at the Hideaway. Fortunately, Traci had an open cabin...the Yellastone...and it fit the bill perfectly. If you're looking for a real getaway this is it! By all means do the Number 1 activity noted by Traci and Jason...do nothing...but relax. This is a real refresher. We cannot wait to go back again.

This ranch is so peaceful and so neat. Not many places you can go for a walk in the morning and see two horses and two alpacas grazing.

We (my husband and I) stayed in the Yellastone cabin for our honeymoon. The cabin was pretty small, but there were only two of us, so it worked out ok. We really loved the owners and staff, and their new restaurant the Silver Dollar is GREAT! We enjoyed the "swimmin' hole" and the private hot tub :)

We are a family of 6 and stayed here during June. The wildflowere were amazing and I bet the place is beautiful in the Fall. Our kids range from 9 years to 10 months and we all had a great time. We spent 5 days here and loved every minute. We liked the archery range/trail and the scavenger hunts. Having the hot tub on the back porch next to the grill was very nice and there was also a pool we could go to. I wasn't expecting there to be any tv at all but was pleased there was cable so the kids could watch cartoons during the heat of the day while the baby napped. The trails were relaxing on foot and exciting on a bike. The place was very clean and well stocked and you can't beat the price. Don't miss out on a meal at the silver dollar. You won't find a friendlier bunch of people anywhere. Give Roscoe a good scratch behind the ears for us when you go! We will be back when the green scavenger hunt is ready and our oldest can go on the horseback ride.

The Hideaway Ranch was amazing! Quiet, secluded and the perfect place to "Hideaway". The food at the steakhouse was the best we've ever had!

We had a wonderful time relaxing in the hot tub and cooking on the grill. The trail walk was so nice and the scenery was beautiful. I felt like a kid racing my husband across the pool, I won BTW. We had breakfast at the restaurant and it was perfect. We failed to make reservations for supper and that was a big mistake, it was jam packed and not my favorite part of the trip. The hosts of the Ranch were so friendly, i can't wait to go back just to chat with Traci again.

We spent several days, 3 families (5 adults and 4 childiren) had a great time, staff was very friendly. Rooms were clean and well stocked with dishes and other cooking needs. The Silver Dollar was a great place for both dinner and breakfast. If you have children let them enjoy the horseback ride it was SUPER!

We needed a real place to get away without having all the noise and other people. We got what we asked for complete time of rest an relaxsation. I woulr recomend this place to any an all, for you that want privacy this is the best place I could stear you to. We will go back again and again.

My fiance and I went to the ranch at the end of 2011 where he surprised me with horseback riding, massages and champagne in the room. We stayed for 3 nights and had such an amazing time. The innkeepers were amazing to what we wanted on our weekend. It was amazing to be in the middle of nowhere with no technology or nobody to worry about, except for us to. We enjoyed many hours bbq'ing and in the hot tub and enjoying the scenery. Next time we will look at the attractions around the area also. We will try to make this a yearly getaway.

My husband & I enjoyed our honeymoon at the Hideaway. The cabins was perfect & so comfy. The animals were amazing & wondered passed our windows & back porch all thru the day & night. We talk about returning - every time we mention a weekend getaway. Thank you for making our honeymoon perfect.

Traveled to the area for business and our stay was an absolute pleasure! The owners are AMAZING! The ranch exceeded all of our expectations! The accomodations were so nice and quiet and peaceful. My wife and I had a wonderful time and there is no other option when we return to the area.

This place was amazing!!! We stayed in the Hacienda and wished we could stay forever. The view from the porch was breath taking. We watched the sun set and the stars appear all from the great view from the hot tub. The hiking trails were fun and the over all layout of the property made you feel like you were the only ones there. I can't wait until we can get away again. We needed a quiet getaway not too far from home. Hideaway couldn't have been more perfect. The cabin was at the highest point on the ranch and the view to the west was spectacular. The cabin was neat and clean and very comfortable. Not extravagant but very comfortable. The host was very accommodating and friendly and we will definitely go back. If you are looking for a place to unwind, do a little bit of nothing and enjoy the peace and quiet of the Northern Texas Hill Country, there couldn't be a better place.

We stayed at the Hacienda cabin and had the most relaxing time! The view was spectacular and it seemed like the cabin was well thought out and stocked with everything we needed. The trails were beautiful and Traci was so friendly when we checked in. We will definitely be back with our kids this summer.

Stayed for two nights in the Laredo. It was GREAT! Loved that the Ranch was in driving distance to Glenrose and Stephenville. We also got the breakfast from the Ranch-well worth the money. Loved staying here and WILL definitely be back!

We truly had a get-away-from-daily-life experience. It was wonderful to spend time together in the quiet, calm country life. We enjoyed the hottub, and made use of the grill. We will come here as often as we can and recommend The Hideaway to everyone. We love the privacy of each cabin and the peace qnd quiet. Tracy and her husband are awesome and we cant wait for the restaraunt to open. This place is so closre to home but when we stay there it feels like we are miles away.

We are from the Austin area and have been to the Hideaway Ranch 4 times in 6 years. We enjoy the privacy and comforts of home plus the relaxing country atmosphere we grew up with and no longer have. We have also stayed at 2 different ones in the area when the ranch was booked and they do NOT compare! We will never stay anywhere else but the Hideaway Ranch!

We loved our stay so much we called Traci the next morning to see if the cabin was available for us to stay in one more evening. Fortunately, it was, and we had a lovely time. We were there on two very clear evenings, so we were able to see more stars than either of us had ever seen before. That alone made the trip worth it! The horses ran around and provided beautiful scenery for us, as well. Such a neat place and one we will definitley return to visit soon.

My wife and I were looking for a ranch type setting to celebrate our 11 year anniversary. the Hideaway Ranch hit the spot. We have never stayed here before. It was a short drive from Dallas - but felt like a world away. Our view from the Hacienda cabin was magnificent - not a road or building in sight as far as the eye can see. The property is expansive - we hiked for a couple of hours and enjoyed seeing all of the wildlife and livestock. What a wonderful way to recharge - so close to DFW. We will definitely return.

This was our 4th visit in 3 years. We love the ranch! The rooms are always clean and comfortable. When you visit, you are welcomed by Roscoe, the "one dog welcome committee", horses, goats, cats, llamas, etc! Traci and Jason make you feel like you are family! They share their entire homestead and assume that you will care for it like they do. Hopefully everyone does! Most times we have never run into another guest during our whole trip! So, you can certainly GET AWAY if that is what you are after! We love that you can sit out under the stars in a hot tub, grill a nice meal, and never have to worry about being disturbed OR disturbing anyone else! We enjoyed fishing in the tank this trip too! Every cabin is perfect! We love that we can plan our meals to cook at the ranch and not have to go back to town all weekend if we don't want too. Keep up the good work guys! We are looking forward to seeing what you are adding to the place the next time we come out!

We love the Hideaway. It is a wonderful getaway not far from Dallas. Each cabi...n is secluded and has a hot tub. Our 5 yr old loves the hiking trail, scavenger hunt, old west town, llamas and more. We even bring our dogs so the whole family gets to have a great vacation together. My husband and I got engaged here.

My husband and I have had the oppertunity to stay at The Hideaway Ranch twice, we have enjoyed the peacefullness both times. Traci and Jason are gracious host. They always make you feel right at home and will try their best to get you everything you need. You dont need much though just a bathing suit, hiking shoes and a change of clothes or two. We came for our honeymoon and have come back every year for our anniversary. We love this place! Its so quiet and tranquil. It does make for a wonderful getaway. I recommend this place to everyone I know!

My family and I just loved your place. It really is a Hideaway from everything! Enjoyed our cabin with all the amenities! The quiet atomopshere was nice. Loved going Horseback riding and seeing the animals on the property. Having the "Hot Tub" right outside our back deck and Bar B Que was wonderful!!! Thank you for your friendly hospitality! My husband and I have been going to Fredericksburg to "get away" for almost a decade....no longer! The Hideaway Ranch and Retreat is tucked away in a beautiful piece Somervell County. We stayed in the Rendezvous cabin, and it was perfect. When we checked-in, we were met by a wonderful young lady (so sorry I have forgotten her name). She made us feel at home and was very helpful in getting us scheduled for our horseback ride the next morning. We were also greeted by the resident "tour guide", Rosco; what a sweetie! Besides relaxing underneath the stars in our hot tub, the horseback ride around the ranch was my favorite. It was our first time ever to ride a horse, and Jason did a wonderful job at making us feel relaxed and confident. It was amazing. Thank you Jason & Traci - we WILL be back soon!

My wife and I stayed in the Cimarron cabin. Very nice and cute horse theme. My wife loves horses. The back deck could have been a little larger but it was just enough room for the hot tub, small grill, and a table and 2 chairs. If you love animals this is the perfect cabin for you. The evening we got there we saw the Lamas near our cabin. We hiked around that evening before dark...went down to the office and saw the huge pig, 2 goats, 2 cats, Roscoe the dog and the chickens. We went looking around for the Longhorns and the horses but we could not find them that night. Saturday morning we woke up to two longhorns grazing about 10 feet from our front porch...wow... it was wonderful and we took plenty of pictures. The next morning we woke up to the horses around our cabin. We walked outside and they came right up to us. They were so nice and gentle. It was such great time away! I cant wait until our next visit! Thanks so much for the nice away private country place for us to retreat to!

My wife and I have been going to the Hideaway Ranch for 7 years now and we have enjoyed each and every visit. The ranch is a great place to just get away and unwind from the busy everyday life. It is the only place that we go that when I park my truck it does not move until we are ready to leave. We enjoy everything about the ranch from the trails, to horseback riding, quietness, hot tubs and chuck wagon dinners. Of course there is Traci and Jason who make you feel welcome each trip.

My husband and I choose The Hideaway Ranch to get away from "it all". I cannot put into words just how relaxing it was to get in tune with nature and ourselves! We just loved when the horses came to greet us first thing in the morning. This place is just AWESOME!!!

We went to the Hideaway for our first family vacation, taking my 5 year old grandson to the area that I grew up in. Within the first day, I was already making plans for next year!! It was absolutely AWESOME!! We could not have asked for better accommodations, both inside the cabin, and on the ranch property itself. We were treated like we were special guests! Our cabin was beautifully furnished, and everything one could need was furnished. I mean EVERYTHING!! We had such an amazing time, and did not want to leave. In fact, my grandson cried when we left! We will absolutely be back!

We decided at the last minute (3pm Friday) to head to the cabin that same day. They had one opening (thankfully) and were more than willing to accomodate us. They had everything ready and made it painless. The cabins are beautiful and spacious and SUPER CLEAN...everything is NEW or gently used at it's worst. Each cabin has it's own hot tub, deck and grill. The property is massive and the cabins are secluded to where no one can see or hear anything they shouldn't. Perfect for our little family. We go back a lot. :)

The rooms were very comfortable and extremely cozy. We could have spent our three night stay completely inside and it would have been just as enjoyable. Every little nuance has been thought of and taken care of before arrival. Looking forward to our next stay in a couple of weeks in which we plan on utilizing there new food menu. We don't plan on going any where this time. The hot tub was grand and the star gazing spectacular. Living near downtown Fort Worth for the last thirty years I have not seen that many stars since I was a kid growing up in the Catskill Mountains. Really appreciate all the hard work you two put into this place to make it what it is, thanks. R&D Fort Worth.

My wife and I just spend the weekend there for Mother's day and her birthday and it was unbelievable. We are making plans to bring the whole family in the future. Jason and Traci make you feel at home and they are there to serve you. We saw them when we wanted to see them and didn't when we didn't need to see them. Telling everyone we know about this great Hideaway!!!

We arrived at sunset! Our keys were waiting on the office door, with a map to our cabin, totally caught by surprise with the whole experience, the family was great! The stay was beyond words could even express beautiful!!! I cannot wait for my husband and I to go there again, this is going to definitely be our "getaway" spot!!!

Tracy and Jason are wonderful hosts. We had the most relaxing family vacation and the kids are begging to go back. Rosco, the dog, was a real treat and such a wonderful part of the ranch. Thank you for a very relaxing and affordable family vacation. We will be back for more ranch adventures.

I found the Hideaway Ranch on the internet and because of the great reviews, I decided to book our family for a one night getaway. The Ranch more than exceeded our expectations! We stayed in the "Lonestar." The kids were in absolute awe when they saw the loft. Being from California and Illinois, we LOVED the Texas theme! It added so much to the ambience and experience of staying on a guest ranch. The Lonestar was perfect because the kids (all 4 of them) had their own private (and super cool) quarters, while mom and dad had our privacy. I posted our pictures on Facebook when we got back earlier today. People are already asking me where we went! Traci is SO sweet & wonderful and the ranch has so much to offer at a very reasonable cost that I am recommending the Hideaway Ranch and Retreat 100 percent!

My husband and I first came here while we were dating and absolutely loved it! The cabins are beautiful and spacious and the land is wonderful. We went again on our honeymoon this year and I am so glad we did. We were given the romance package and we stayed at the Rendevous where we watched the long horns. It was so peaceful and relaxing and Traci and Jason were both wonderful hosts. We got to meet their boys who were sweethearts as well. We decided to make this out place and plan to come back on our anniversaries as well.

This is our 2nd visit to the Hideaway Ranch. We visited The ranch for our first time in August for our eldest daughter's 13th birthday (3 day stay) and had a blast! We have such fond, meaningful memories! Before Christmas, we just thought about making another visit to have some peace and quiet, quality family time and just plain fun. The cabins, the peaceful surroundings, the safe environment is so welcoming to us. Having two children who love to explore the outdoors makes The Hideaway the perfect visit. From the comfortable beds, furnished kitchen, beautiful, warm decorations in the cabins, I can't think of a better place to take my family. My husband is just as enthusiastic. We plan to make The Hideaway a new family tradition!

I really love the Hideaway Ranch. The cabin rentals are not cheap but Jason & Traci are great people and they have a beautiful ranch. We enjoy the peace and quiet there! Highly recommend it for a de-stressing stay.

I have a passion for log cabins and started looking for a nice, quiet place for a romantic little getaway from Dallas. I was searching for a place with an outside hot tub, tasteful decorating and privacy. This place did exceed my expectations for many reasons. The place was very clean, had charming decor, the little details like nice dinnerware and everything we needed for cooking our dinner, and the breakfast basket was just right. I like the unexpected touches like the robes in the bathroom. Thank you for a memorable stay. I would love to come back soon! This place is first class with very reasonable prices.

The Hideaway Ranch is the perfect get away for couples who are looking for a secluded, peaceful place to be together. The innkeepers are very friendly, pleasant, and accommodating. We arrived late to the ranch due to our wedding ceremony lasting longer than we had planned. Upon entering the cabin, the A/C was on, which made the cabin nice and cool, and the hot tub on the back deck was running, which melted the stress of the wedding weekend away. Our stay at the Hideaway Ranch was wonderful and we definitely plan to return! We highly recommend staying on the ranch!

Stayed for a weekend with my wife and two kids. We loved it! It is so secluded and yet the cabins have amenities such as a full kitchen, satellite TV, hot tubs etc... The "Cimarron" was our cabin and we got to see Llamas grazing practically at our doorstep in the morning. The kids loved feeding food scraps to the pigs, petting the horses, and really enjoyed the wagon ride. Before we left we were already talking about coming back. The surrounding countryside is gorgeous too. Really glad that we found this place.

Now that we live in the city it is a joy to stay at The Hideaway, soak in the hot tub, look at all the stars at night and enjoy the beautiful ranch. It is a wonderful country escape! We did not address "dining" as we have not yet tried Traci's "Little Extras" but have heard that they're great. We'll be back again for sure! Kathryn and Steve

We have stayed at Hideaway 3 times, and each wants us coming back. Once with my husband and I only, and the other 2 with kids. It is almost like our "retreat" to get back to FAMILY time. Busy lives can take connections we once had, but every time we leave Hideaway we feel a bond we have not felt in a while. We plan to go at least twice a year from now on. The Niedziela family is super! They give you a private getaway, and great service at the same time. Love Hideaway.

When we arrived we were treated with respect and warm welcome. It was like we had already been long time friends and this was our first time. The quarters were stylish and very comfortable. The Hideaway Ranch was wonderful! We stayed three nights with our three children, 12, 10, and 5. They loved it! It is so relaxed and laid back there. The kids fished and we swam and took hikes on the trails. The first night, the kids all got to do the horse ride. We had close enounters with llamas and horses. They fell in love with the ranch dog "Roscoe". This place was so much more than I had expected! We stayed in the Lonestar. The kids loved the loft! We will definitely be back!

Wonderful place and hosts!

The Hideaway has been a gift to our marriage. We have been there twice and have loved every moment of the relaxation and unwinding the place offers. We love the ranch style breakfast basket and the hot tub! We have also thought about staying in one of the larger cabins with our kids and parents and taking in the sights at the surrounding areas. We look forward to hopefully trying out every cabin at some point!

The Innkeepers are very nice and make you feel at home. The Ranch is kid friendly and the wagon ride was a lot of fun and enjoyed by all. I would recommend a stay here.

The Hideaway was the perfect place for a weekend away! The Innkeepers made us feel like we were old friends and the atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing. We are already planning our next stay! A quiet evening in the hot tub with a glass of wine was a wonderful way to end each night and the horseback ride completed the perfect weekend.

This place is truly out in the country. About five miles from the nearest paved road and we loved it! Gorgeous country that easily rivals the hill country part of the state in my opinion. The Hideaway isn't exactly a B&B since breakfast is not included in the price of the room but you can order a breakfast basket with farm fresh eggs and other goodies to cook in your cabin. You can also set up spa services if you like. What we really enjoyed the most was the privacy and seclusion. We stayed in the Chateau cabin. It is for couples only and quite romantic. Well worth the price, especially with the weekday discount. I'm not sure but I think every cabin has a hot tub outside. The Hideaway Ranch also offers plenty of activities and has accommodations for families. Horseback riding for $40 an hour, fishing ponds, hiking trails, a chuck wagon supper on the weekends (extra cost). Lots of wildlife and animals to see. We were disappointed the Roscoe the dog and head of ranch security didn't make it to our cabin during our stay but maybe we can meet him next time we go because there will be a next time...maybe in the fall. The location is convenient to activities in Glen Rose, such as visiting Dinosaur State Park or Fossil Rim Wildlife Center. Historic Hico, TX, the Bluff Dale Winery, and Granbury are within a 30 minute drive. One tip, if you mind getting a few scratches on your vehicle, some of the drives to the cabins are a bit overgrown, or have an aversion to driving on dirt/caliche roads this may not be the place for you.

We had a wonderful time "getting away" from the big city and relaxing, resting, and enjoying quality couple time together. It was amazing sitting in the hot tub and gazing at the beautiful Texas stars!!

My girlfriend and I stayed in the Chateau cabin for two nights and just loved it! It was very clean, nicely furnished, and very quiet. The bed was huge and comfortable and the sheets were silky. We will definitely be back!

Loved our 27th anniversary weekend stay at the ranch! From our welcome, to Roscoe's company, visiting with the horses and watching the sunset - we couldn't ask for a nicer stay! We'll definitely be back!

we just wanted a quick get away and this place did it for us. We will be back the cabins were clean and quite, more than we expected. hot tub under the stars was awesome and the sunset on the deck in the middle of no where can not be beat.

We (three couples) just returned from a wonderful weekend on the ranch. The cabins were awesome. Loved it!!!!

We first took our children over for the local attractions but quickly learned that the Hideaway Ranch was the focal point! My wife and I went back a few days later and stayed another night. Both trips were truly awesome!! It is a rare occasion when we remember WHERE we stayed versus what the original attraction was - this is our favorite. Traci and Jason have done a great job in provoding a place of pure relaxation. The scenery was beautiful and the cabins were quite cozy (and exceptionally clean!). I spent an hour last night on the cabin's front porch drinking coffee. This morning, my wife and I hiked and found some neat fossils; they are everywhere. We will be back in the summer time with friends and look forward to horseback riding. Thank you Traci and Jason!!

My family and I make sure we stay at the Hideaway at least once a year. It is the best place to come if you want to get away from it all and just relax and enjoy yourself and your loved ones. It is also the best place to go to reconnect and spend some quality time with your spouse or loved one. It is a beautfiul place and so peaceful and relaxing you will not want to leave. Traci is an awesome host.

We stayed at the Hideaway almost 3 years ago for nearly a week for our honeymoon. It was EXACTLY what I wanted-- private, quiet, relaxing... a wonderful change from big-city life and stressful wedding planning. I would recommend it to anyone who likes to get away from it all. The only complaint I had was that our cabin had a TINY shower stall and even tinier water heater but we had a hot tub on the deck and that made up for it.

We had a wonderful time and what a secluded romantic setting. It was our wedding anniversary and the peaceful surroundings just added to the special weekend . Traci & Jason do a wonderful job of taking care of their guests. The Chateau was great and the hot tub just adds to the list of things to appreciate. We will return!

We have been coming here for 4 years now. We love it!! We have been here for Valentines Day and for our Anniversary. This year we celabrated out 14th wedding Anniversary. Hopefully we can come back around Valentines Day. If you are looking for a quiet place to relax with your sweetie this is the place to be. Not Far to the city of Granbury or Glenn Rose. We have been to the Hideaway Ranch several times now both with family and alone just the two of us. Both have proven to be wonderful experiences. For family, the place has a lot of fun things to do and see and for couples it is very romantic, secluded, peaceful and perfect. The cabins are beautifully decorated and very clean. We love coming to the Hideaway and can't wait until our next trip back (we just got back two weeks ago).

We have stayed at the Chateau several times and have always come alway refreshed and happy. You can just sit at the cabin or go exploring. You can be in the hot tub or just sitting outside enjoying the quiet. We will come back over and over and over.

This was our second time at Hideaway Ranch - wanted to stay forever - it's like a piece of heaven - no STRESS! The deck had a wonderful view and the hot tub was wonderful. Can't wait to go back - plan to return in December.

Stayed one night with friends from England. All were impressed with the scenery and quietness. Loved the llamas, longhorns and paint/appoolusa horses. Traci and Jason were very nice. Eggs very fresh.

If you like to get away some place private Like cabins and rustic It's a great place to stay. If your want marble and fancy this is not for you. One note if you are a big person bathrooms in some of the cabins are small check ahead. I am 6 foot 250 lbs It was real tight in one cabin

We stayed 2 nights in the Hacienda cabin celebrating our anniversary. We were soo pleased w/the entire Ranch. It was very clean and the breakfast basket was delicious with plenty of food for two. We walked the grounds, visited w/sweet Rosco (ranch dog), and all of the beautiful paint horses, longhorns, and llamas. We look forward to another stay at the Hideaway. The Hideaway Ranch felt like our own private ranch in the hillcountry, a home away from home. As said in all the previous reviews, we want to return with our kids and I hope for another visit with just my husband as well! Can't recommend it more highly.

I stayed three nights in the new 'Cimmaron' cabin! Everything from the comfortable bed to the colorful sunsets and twinkling evening stars are great memories. It's a wonderful place to be still and reconnect with nature. Thank you Traci & Jason for sharing your little piece of heaven with others.

My wife and I found the Hideaway on-line 4 years ago looking for a place to go for our anniversary. We are city people and were looking to get away from it all. A weekend at the Hacienda was just what we were looking for. We've since taken several trips with our son (who loves it), and most recently with my wife's parents. They liked it so much we are going back for new years weekend. There's a lot of outdoors-y stuff to do, but if you want to stay in and veg, the cabins and hot tubs are great. Most of all though, you won't find better hosts than Traci, Jason, and the kids - they're friendly and down to earth, and Jason can cook like a son of a somebody - don't miss the weekend cookouts. Really a great way to spend some time away from real life. Wish we could find a way to get down there more often.

We love the quiet beauty that the Hideaway Ranch gives us. It's so peaceful and relaxing. Our favorite luxury is the hot tubs. And if we find green robes in the restrooms, that's just the icing on the cake! Even if the weather disappoints us, the cozy comfy cabins & 1st rate hospitality, more than make up for it. I've never enjoyed a "getaway", as much as I have, The Hideaway.

My husband and I have been coming to the Hideaway Ranch and Retreat since 2001 and we always have a wonderful time when we come visit! The cabins are decorated so nice and everything is clean and fully stocked. The jacuzzi's are awesome under the stars at night and my husband always has a blast fishing. I have watched the ranch grow and enhance in beauty over the years. It is a perfect getaway for those of us that are in the middle of the hussle and bussle everyday. I just love Traci, she has such a sweet spirit and her as well as her husband have truly thought of everything in and out of these cabins! My husband and I have been going to this place since June of 1997. Well, at first it was the three of us, which then included our daughter, who is now married and expecting her second child. Instantly we loved this place, which is so clean, so private, so much to do if you love the country like we do: swimming, Jacuzzi, and taking in nature. Since our daughter has been married, though, we always go alone now. My husband and I try to go near our anniversary each year in July, which is our gift to each other. I always tell him, I want a memory -- not a thing for our anniversary. Needless to say, he's given me memories by going and loving it himself. Our lives seem so hectic sometimes and it's wonderful to just get away in the peace and quiet of the countryside. We both love Traci, who is the best Innkeeper ever, such a sweet young lady with loads of hospitality. And it looks like we started something that is being passed on. Our daughter and her husband go every time that they can get. If you love the country, peace and quiet, animals, hiking, swimming, horseback riding and gazing at the many stars, then you'll love this place. It becomes a huge part of you!

We stayed in the Hacienda for our honeymoon. It was a wonderful, peaceful time. The veiw is great. And the time spent in the hot tub at night was awesome! We have and will continue to recommend the Hideway Ranch to our friends and family.

We continue to be amazed at what Traci and Jason do with their continued improvements. We have been coming to the Hideaway for 5 years and it only gets better! We highly recommend it is a definite for those wanting to enjoy this area of Texas!

It was a nice stay and so relaxing to just to get away from the city life, the walking trails were nice, the owners or wow is all i can say there did everything in there powers to make our stay as nice as possible which is uncommon in this world

First of all we found you by mistake thanks to AAA and what a jewel you and the cabin turned out to be. The long horn steer, the horse back riding, the owners were all so wonderful. We will be back for sure to celebrate some August birthdays. I have recommended you to anyone and everyone including people who think I am crazy "getting away" to relax and bringing KIDS! My husband and i needed a quick getaway. We like the glen rose area,so we looked around there. We loved the idea of the private, cozy cabins at hideaway and were so pleased with the location, service, and friendliness! We are planning our return asap!OUTSTANDING!

A very nice and unique place to stay when visiting the Glen Rose area. It was very relaxing and comfortable, and so private!!

We had a wonderful time, luckily the rain held out while we were there. The cabin was perfect with the fenced yard for our dogs and the hot tub. I loved the lamas and the horses that came up to our cabin but I think our dogs loved it more! Wonderful experience and we will be back.

The cabin was great. So Peacefull!! We enjoyed the great sunsets on the porch and relaxing in the hot tub.

The Niedziela's are great. The Hideaway is just what you need to really "get away". The cabins are tucked back in the trees and secluded and the hot tub was wonderful. Don't forget to take part in the chuckwagon. The food was wonderful.

Great family get away!! Our 3yr. old loved "fishing" in the water feature in front of our cabin and "swimming" in the hot tub on the back porch! The horses were great on the trail rides. We can't wait to go back!

My wife and I went to the Hide-A-Way cabins for our 4 year anniversary. It was a great experience and we will definitely be going back very soon! It was great and the owners are really great and understanding people. We had to cancle dinner before it was time to be served (so they already started preparing it for us) and they refunded half of our money to us, they didn't need to and I told them that. They are great people all around! Mike
