This was not a good experience. The room was not clean and had cobwebs and dirt piled in the window sills. The ceiling fan did not work. There was no television. and the air conditioning was absent leaving the room uncomfortably warm and very humid. In addition the bed linen was old and tattered. Overall, a pretty shabby place.

My husband and I stayed here in January 2010. We had a great time and stayed in the "Woodburn" room. The room was very nice and the breakfast was really good. This was our first experience at a B&B. We enjoyed our stay and recommend that you talk the Hyde Park walking tour.
5 out of 5Great Place to Get Away
July 20, 2009
The Woodburn House was a wonderful place to get away. We are from Austin and just wanted one night away while Grandma was in town to watch our toddler. The Woodburn house was just 15 minutes from our apartment, but set into such a little nook of Austin that it felt like we were further away. It's a great place for a "staycation." We wish we could have stayed longer. The furniture was beautiful and the breakfast was delicious! We stayed in the Woodburn room, which is beautifully furnished. I turned wistfully to my husband and said that someday I would like to have a bedroom that looked something like the Woodburn room. Thanks for a great one night get-away! ECA, Austin, TX

I visit Austin about once a month for work. Woodburn House is my home away from home. I have stayed in almost every room and have always slept like a baby. Noel and Kristen are very friendly and the breakfast is outstanding! I would recommend this B and B to anyone! I will continue to look forward to my monthly visits.

5 out of 5Wild About Woodburn House
September 20, 2007
My friends and I just returned from our annual trip to Austin for the ACL music festival, where we were lucky enough to get a reservation at Woodburn House. What a great B&B--fantastic breakfasts (fresh scones!), relaxed atmosphere, great neighborhood, and a wonderful wrap-around porch. We stayed in the lovely third floor suite, which was cool and comfortable in spite of the heat (not an easy feat in an old house). One morning we saw the housekeeper ironing sheets as she made up a room--I hadn't thought that sort of thing happened in real life! Needless to say, we can't wait to return.
