Woodburn House, an Austin landmark built in 1909, is centrally located in the Hyde Park national historic district. Conveniently located one mile from the University of Texas and just two miles from downtown and the 6th Street and Warehouse districts, the house features four guest accommodations with attached private baths. All rooms are furnished with period antiques and feature new and luxurious mattresses and linens, rocking chairs, desks, private phones and wireless high speed Internet. Enjoy the double wraparound porches, voted "Top Ten Porches to Sit on This Summer" by USA Today, 1999. Come and enjoy the morning breezes and singing birds on the porches and feast on gourmet breakfasts, planned to meet guests' dietary requirements. Guests can experience the "rural" peacefulness of a stroll through the friendly, tree lined streets of the Hyde Park neighborhood or visit nearby museums, theater or one of five landmark Austin restaurants. Guests are also within a short walking distance to Shipe Park or the Central Park hike and bike trail and shopping center. Owners and Resident Innkeepers, Kristen and Noel De La Rosa, invite all guests to enjoy the comforts of their home and can provide guidance for endless hours of enjoyment in Austin. A stay at the Woodburn House is the right choice for a memorable stay in Austin!

My husband and I stayed here in January 2010. We had a great time and stayed in the "Woodburn" room. The room was very nice and the breakfast was really good. This was our first experience at a B&B. We enjoyed our stay and recommend that you talk the Hyde Park walking tour.

The Woodburn House was a wonderful place to get away. We are from Austin and just wanted one night away while Grandma was in town to watch our toddler. The Woodburn house was just 15 minutes from our apartment, but set into such a little nook of Austin that it felt like we were further away. It's a great place for a "staycation." We wish we could have stayed longer. The furniture was beautiful and the breakfast was delicious! We stayed in the Woodburn room, which is beautifully furnished. I turned wistfully to my husband and said that someday I would like to have a bedroom that looked something like the Woodburn room. Thanks for a great one night get-away! ECA, Austin, TX

I visit Austin about once a month for work. Woodburn House is my home away from home. I have stayed in almost every room and have always slept like a baby. Noel and Kristen are very friendly and the breakfast is outstanding! I would recommend this B and B to anyone! I will continue to look forward to my monthly visits.

My friends and I just returned from our annual trip to Austin for the ACL music festival, where we were lucky enough to get a reservation at Woodburn House. What a great B&B--fantastic breakfasts (fresh scones!), relaxed atmosphere, great neighborhood, and a wonderful wrap-around porch. We stayed in the lovely third floor suite, which was cool and comfortable in spite of the heat (not an easy feat in an old house). One morning we saw the housekeeper ironing sheets as she made up a room--I hadn't thought that sort of thing happened in real life! Needless to say, we can't wait to return.
