We found this B&B for a last minute trip to Austin. What a wonderful stroke of luck! The rooms were quiet and comfortable. The location was convenient to everything. Absolutely no problems with parking. And to top it all off the food was excellent. The next time we go to Austin we will definitely stay at the Star of Texas Inn.

    Wonderful, peaceful little inn

Our room was lovely. The cookies were amazing and the inn is in a great location. However, the manager does not stay on property, so if you need advice it would be hard to get.

We have stayed at the Star of Texas Inn a couple of times now and will definitely plan to return. We have so many good things to say about this bed and breakfast it's hard to know where to begin. The quaint gate and path that lead to the side door entrance has the reminecent feel of grandma's house. Then, upon entering we walk into the aroma of fresh baked cookies. There are always cookies waiting for you at the door. With just the right timing the staff is always there to help with what you need and with Austin hospitality. The rooms are comfortable, clean, and neat. We feel at home when we are there. Breakfast in the morning has been delicious. We like the location as it has been central to our activities. We also enjoy sitting on the balcony or porch and watch people go by. Chris and Sylvia do a fine job of running the Star of Texas Inn. We hope to see you there again soon.

Chris, Sylvia and all the staff were most helpful and friendly. The location is close to the University, so there's lot of hussle and bussle along the street, but was quiet at night. Very nice porches to sit out and watch the world pass by.
