Inn Details

Named after the fantastic art collection found inside, The Austin Folk House is a wonderful new bed and breakfast centrally located in the historic West Campus neighborhood. It is minutes from The University of Texas, The Texas State Capital, The Governors' Mansion, Town Lake and Downtown Sixth Steet. The building, which was originally constructed in 1880, was recently renovated so as to afford modern comfort and convenience without sacrificing historic charm. The rooms are decorated with lovely old antiques, but there is certainly no bad plumbing to worry about in this B&B! Best of all is the Texas-sized gourmet breakfast served daily. We look forward to seeing you during your next business or pleasure trip to Austin!

Directions to property:
From I-35 take the Martin Luther King (MLK) exit and head west. Make a right on San Antonio St. and then go to 23rd. Make a left at 23rd and then a left at the next block (Nueces). You will see our lot before you see our house. It is the last lot on the left almost to the corner. If you miss it you will have to go around the block again because Nueces is a one way.

Directions from airport:
Make a left out of the exit area to get to 183 North. You will be on Hwy 71 but just briefly. Make a left at Martin Luther King Blvd. Look for the big sign on the left side of the highway. Take MLK all the way into town past Guadalupe. Make a right on San Antonio St. and then go to 23rd. Make a left 23rd and then a left at the next block (Nueces). Our signature dish is Raspberry Stuffed French Toast
This decadent breakfast dish is always a favorite. Thick slices of French bread stuffed with fresh raspberries and cream cheese. It is served with a homemade vanilla syrup, alongside thick slices of crispy bacon. Bon Appetit!

Smoking is allowed outside only (Outside on the porch)
We cannot accommodate guest pets

Cancellations:
Our regular policy is 72 hours of notice prior to checking in. If we rebook the room, no penalty will be charged to you. This policy subject to change for large groups and other circumstances.
