Blue Mountain Mist Country Inn and Cottages

This was our first time staying in a bed and breakfast and we were thrilled with the hospitality and service. The decor and rooms were just what we were looking for in a weekend getaway. The food was beyond our expectations and thoroughly enjoyed. We are recommending this place to everyone we know and hope to return for another visit in the near future!!

My wife and I stayed at Blue Mountain Mist at the recommendation of one of her co-workers, and we couldn't have been more pleased with our stay. We stayed in the Trillium Cabin, which was well-appointed and cozy. Everything worked exactly as we expected it to. The cabin even had enough hot water to adequately fill the jacuzzi tub in the cabin, a shortfall we've experienced at other B & Bs. The only (minor) issue we had was that the steps and porch of the cabin were iced over when we arrived. We notified management, and that was resolved immediately. The food at Blue Mountain Mist was amazing. Perhaps not surprisingly, we didn't want breakfast to end, because that meant we had to leave the table. All the food, including the fruit and juices, was prepared fresh each day. In fact, if you came to breakfast before the 9:00 AM serivce time, you could see the staff busy at work in the kitchen cooking. Portions were more than ample. If you left feeling hungry or unsatisfied, you can only blame yourself. In addition to the fine food at breakfast was the fine company. The tables are set up to feed family-style, with the smallest table seating four guests. So you got to talk with and know your fellow guests a bit, which was quite lovely and one of the reasons we love going to B & Bs. However, one of the big kickers was the fresh-baked desserts that were put out for the guests around 5:00 PM each day and left available unti 9:00 or 10:00 PM. Each day brought a new dessert, and each dessert was amazing in its own way and right. Blue Mountain Mist is having a 25th anniversary celebration later this year. If my wife and I can make it, we plan to go back and take our young son for all the activities they have planned then. But, more importantly, we eagerly look forward to visiting this B & B again in the not-too-distant-future.

Friendly, clean, private, clean, quiet, wonderful breakfasts, and CLEAN!!!

For a peaceful getaway with pretty views and surroundings, or a romantic weekend, this is a great B&B. I have stayed in the main house before and loved it! My first time in one of the cabins - they are individually decorated, as are rooms in the main house. My cabin had all listed amenities: fireplace, jacuzzi tub for 2, kitchenette w/coffee, micro and toaster oven, a pretty bed. The extras: fireplace mantle had Xmas decor, back porch was semi-private, big enough for 2 chairs and porch swing, cabin was roomy enough to be very comfortable. Also had use of the main house. It offers sitting rooms with a lot of charm, fresh baked dessert served daily in the p.m., and a basement with large screen and video library. I love to enjoy the view of the Smokies, and the expanse of their own front yard, from the wrap-around porch at the main house, with a book and coffee. Other quiet, beautiful areas to sit, read and relax: a small back patio which is lovely, a gazebo with a bench in front, and a small pond with greenery and seating.

We stayed here for the first time during our engagment weekend. We loved it there. It was so cute and cozy. Very comfortable and clean. It was like being right at home. We loved the delicious breakfast and the staff was very accomadating and friendly. The couple who are the owners are so sweet and we loved the prayer before breakfast. We are talking about having our wedding here :) loved it!!

A very comfortable and family feel, not stuffy like many other places. Here you are able to relax and enjoy without feeling out of place. Beautiful house and the food is wonderful!

My wife and I have stayed here several times before and wanted our grandson to enjoy the atmosphere and great food. As always everyone made our stay very pleasant. The rooms are very comfortable and clean. The breakfast is always great and we especially love the fruit with the special topping. Our granson loved the many Christmas items that are displayed this time of the year throughout the house. There are always deserts at the temptation counter when you come in at night. Sarah, Norman and the entire staff are very friendly and helpful. We will be back again and plan to make the trip every year around Christmas. Thanks for everything!

We stayed at the inn over Thanksgiving weekend. It was nice to get away and relax. The staff was very friendly and accomodating and the room was great. We felt like we were family during our stay the food was very good as well. Each morning was something different and full of flavor. I cannot say enough about this place I cannot wait to go back for another stay. We have told many people how great our stay was and hope they will find this place.

My husband and I have been visiting the Blue Mountain Mist Inn since the 80's. We've stayed in the cottages and the main house, and have always enjoyed our stays. Everyone goes out of their way to make you feel at home. We especially enjoy sitting by the fireplace and enjoying Jason's desserts.

This was our third straight year of coming here for several days. It is very relaxing and the staff members are very gracious and welcoming. The food is outstanding in the morning and in the evening. We will be returning regularly.

We stayed two nights in the Honeysuckle Cottage. My wife really enjoyed the privacy and quietness of that. Our stay was a little rushed; at least a couple of more nights would have been helpful as we could have relaxed more at the cottage and not rushed to take in other sights. All in all it was a good, clean Christian environment. The family who owns and operates the place are wonderful people with a heart for being hospitable. My only negative comment is about the desert time in the evening. It never occurred when announced, the times varied greatly. That made it a little hard to plan around. I believe we will probably try this again. It was a great get-away.

Very friendly and family oriented B & B. Norman and Sarah and their family were very helpful, efficient and personable. They made our honeymoon very pleasurable. We made new friends there. Close enough to the area's many attractions, yet sitting in the quiet countryside with views of the mountains. Our cabin was nicely appointed with 2-person jacuzzi, porch with rockers and swing, small furnished kitchen ... very neat and clean. Each cabin has its own theme. Wonderful staff-cooked and presented breakfasts with the other guests. Delicious! And even evening social times with fresh baked goodies, ice creams, etc. We were very happy there!

We had an outstanding experience at Blue Mountain Mist. The owners, Sarah and Norman, are the consummate hosts and their rooms and cabins are very clean and well maintain. This was our first experience with a B&B and we'll definitely return.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Blue Mountain Mist. The fall colors were at their peak, and the views from the inn across the mountains were beautiful. Norman and Sarah are gracious hosts and run a homey inn with lots of personal touches. Breakfasts were delicious and plentiful--especially the fruit topping from Norman's original recipe and the pumpkin/cream cheese stuffed French toast. We learned to save room at dinner out for dessert when we came back to the inn in the evening because of the wonderful desserts waiting for us there. We think the pecan pie is the best we've ever had!

This was my first B&B experience and it will stay with me forever. It is exactly what I hoped for. Comfort, peace, wonderful views, charming, I could go on and on. Food was awesome (came home with recipe for Lemon Press Pie!!!). Each breakfast started with a prayer of thanks. Met wonderful people. Close to lots of sites to visit. If you're looking for a peaceful, quiet get-a-way this is it!! Hope to go back some day.

Came here to do some leaf-peeping in the Smokies. Had fantastic weather and beautiful fall colors on the trip up and back. This B & B is unique to our prior experiences with B&B's in that we had a morning food blessing in the quaintly furnished dining room. This was a great way to begin the day. Everything met my expectations because I'd researched it beforehand. The "temptation table", desserts and drinks offered in the evenings, was an added bonus. My husband and I met some very nice people and we had some interesting discussions around the log burning fireplace in the evenings. That was a much more intriguing way to relax than watching TV. The traffic in nearby PigeonForge/Gatlingburg during the Oct.peak turned out to be a disappointment as we weren't able to do everything we had hoped because we couldn't get around. The area has undergone drastic change. I would definitely stay here again as it's away from the craziness, has bucolic views, rockers to sit in to enjoy them, and I had an overall great experience. The innkeepers are a wonderful Christian family and this is reflected in their behaviors. There are two things I would wish they would do: get softer mattresses and offer dinners. I'd have preferred to dine there than deal with the crowds and traffic of the resort towns and I would be confident I'd eat well.

We have stayed at Blue Mountain Mist several times and they provided the excellent kind of experience we have come to expect. Sarah Ball was especially helpful in giving us advice to avoid the crowds during our stay.

My wife and I have been to the 'Mist' for ten years or so, and have never been disappointed! Clean, accomodating and relaxing, our home away from home.

From the moment we walked in and were greeted by Innkeepers, we knew we were in for a real treat. Every aspect of this stay exceeded my expectations. The hosts, the views, the accommodations, and the food were spectactular. I would surely recommend Blue Mountain Mist and hope to be able to go back again.

We were First Timers and we loved the concept of being at a Bed & Breakfast - will definately do it again.

We arrived at this picturesque bed and breakfast, and was greeted by Sara the inns owner. She was the sweetest woman I've ever met. The room was beautiful and so was the rest of the house, and grounds. We were served breakfast every morning that was never the same thing twice but was delicious everyday, and the staff had something sweet for dessert waiting for us every evening. The staff was helpful in recommending fun things for us to do in the area. We had a blast! We would and have recommended this bed and breakfast to everyone!! You will not be disappointed!

We had a wonderful time staying in the honeysuckle cabin which was very cozy and quaint. Breakfast was homegrown southern deliciousness from the salt cured ham to has town casserole. Our favorite food was the scrumptious orange whipped topping. Yum!! That alone made us buy the cookbook. A wonderful staff who remembered our names the entire stay and was always helpful and always welcoming. Thank you all!

As usual, Sara & Norman, along with their 2 sons, made our stay in the Smokies a wonderful experience. Their "Temptation Table" every evening is terrific, along with a comfortable and delicious breakfast.

We felt welcome and at 'home' in this charming B & B. The atmosphere was peaceful in the beautiful quiet country setting. Our room, the Elkmont, was comfortable and spacious, beautifully decorated in the blue/white motif. Breakfasts were a feast of delights, enjoyed in the company of other guests in a very large dining room. Great rest point, off the beaten path.

The cottage we stayed in was very comfortable and clean and provided a perfect getaway. The Inn owners and staff were as friendly and welcoming as they could be. The breakfasts and evening desserts were fantastic.

Our daughter and son-in-law have enjoyed this B&B several times and treated us to two nights and we added another night. We can see why they enjoy this so much. The location is great -- beautiful mountain views while having such a wide variety of things to see and do. The cottages are wonderful, each with unique decor, nicely appointed and very clean. You can have a breakfast basked delivered to your room or enjoy meeting other guests around beautifully decorated tables (which we enjoyed each morning). The staff is warm, helpful and friendly. We enjoy having a "surprise" dessert each evening. We just cannot say enough about this Bed & Breakfast.

My husband and I went for a two night getaway and stayed in the Honeysuckle Cottage. We bought a groupon so we got an awesome deal, but even at regular price it would be a good deal. It was very clean, the accommodations were great, the people were very friendly and helpful, the service was great, and the food was delicious! It was so beautiful and peaceful there and you felt like you were out in the country, but it was so close to everything! We def will be going back! Couldn't recommend it more highly!

We were welcomed at the Blue Mountian Mist INN and Collages with open arms from Mrs Sarah and Mr. Norman. We felt we were made right at home. We stayed in the Oak Flate and it was great amd everything I have every dreamed of!! The grounds were well keep and everything looked so heavenly. My mom, dad, husband and myself just returned home from our 3day- 3night stay at the Blue Mountain Mist Inn & we absolutely loved it! We stayed in the victorian house called Bella Rose and it was truly wonderful. Such a beautiful house and plenty of extra room. The breakfasts they served us were beyond delicious and they even prayed before the meal. This was quite impressive since most of the world has took God out of everything! This place had such a good christian atmosphere and we all felt so welcomed. I can't say enough good things about our stay here; I just hope we get to come back very soon!

Perfect!! IN Every Area!! If you want a perfect bed and breakfast experience, stay at the Blue Mountain Mist Inn. I even purchased a framed print of the inn to hang as a reminder of our perfect getaway.

We have stayed at this Inn several times over the last 20 years and it has always been a realxing and enjoyable experience. The grounds are beautiful and it is far enough in the country to be quiet and calming yet close enough to all the vacation "things to do" opportunities so that you don't feel like you are driving long distances to get anywhere. The hosts are exceptionally welcoming and helpful and the food is always outstanding. The breakfast is a great start to the day and the evening sweets buffet is a welcome treat at the end of the day. The rooms are comfortable and clean. We will definitely stay at this inn whenever we are in the Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge area!

We spent three nights at the BMM and felt like honored guests. Everything was meticulously clean and well kept, from the rooms to the gathering areas to the lovely flower gardens and the grounds. Our stay at the Honeysuckle cottage was delightful. One night we sat in the back porch rockers reading and listening to the symphony of tree frogs and night "critters". Another night we enjoyed the large activity room with big screen TV and watched a movie from the Ball's extensive collection. The national park, Pigeon Forge, and Gatlinburg are all close by for daytime activities: trail hiking, soaking up the history of the area, shopping and restaurant dining. But after a long day in the hustle and bustle, it was nice to come back to a peaceful retreat and a freshly prepared delicious dessert in the inn at "temptation station". Norman and Sarah are the perfect hosts, making you feel like an old friend. We highly recommend Blue Mountain Mist

The stay was very romantic and peaceful. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch with our coffee enjoying the view of the mountains. When you come in at night there was home made desert that they had made for the guests to help themselves. In the morning they would fix a wonderful breakfast. You felt like part of the family making your self at home with books to read or take walks or do nothing at all. We enjoyed the experience very much and would go again.

We visit at least annually. This visit we stayed at the Honesuckle cabin. We always stay in the cabins and love the breakfast delivery at 9:30am. My favorite breakfast is the stuffed french toast and I always hope we are there the day they serve it. The honeysuckle was recently redecorated in a black bear theme which is not as frilly as it once was but nice and very clean. We love the isolation of the cabins and a black squirell visits the cabin at lunch time daily. The main house has great afternoon deserts that we ALWAYS enjoy. This is a family run operation that treats you as family members as well. Their frequnt visitor and referral discounts make this a place to return to for every visit to the area.

Having stayed in several B&B's in the past 27 years, we would have to say that "Blue Mountain Mist" in Sevierville has been the best. Not to discount the room appearance and overall cleanliness, we expected nice room(s) (decorations, space, etc.) and an overall clean inn (personal room, sitting areas, well-kept grounds, etc.), and were very pleased with both of these categories. The innkeepers and staff were very cordial; making us feel "at home" , relaxed, and comfortable during our visit. I wish we could have stayed longer, but will most certainly make a return trip! We stayed in the honeysuckle cottage for two nights and it was an unforgettable stay. The cottage was set back in the woods and felt very private. We had breakfast delivered to the cottage both mornings, the food was great and the second morning we even had a little heart shaped breakfast casserole that was so cute! Eric was very helpful and super nice. I think it was Eric that made the Italian cream cake we had on our second night. Very yummy! We will definately come visit again. Thank you for everthing BMM.

My wife and I had a very nice time here. The rooms are clean and everything is well maintained. The breakfast is very good and there are some great snacks at night! Loved that you were just far enough outside of town to feel like you were "away from it all", but it was not even a 10 minute drive to either Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, or Sieverville!

We have been going here for 14-15 years. Just returned from celebrating our 4th anniversary. Staying with Sarah & Norman is always a treat. Their breakfasts are supurb!!!

We just returned from a stay at Blue Mountain Mist (March 14-17) having stayed there before. This is our "get-away" area. It's near the hustle and bustle of Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, and the Smoky Mountains are just a short drive away. We love staying here. The innkeepers, Norman and Sarah, are the nicest people and have always made us feel at home. We stayed in one of the cottages this time, and it exceeded out expectations. I don't know which is better, the rooms in the inn or the cottages as they are both decorated beautifully and are so comfortable. And the breakfasts are to die for! I tell everyone about this B&B and know they will have just as wonderful a time there as we do. We'll definitely be going back, again and again. Thank you Norman and Sarah!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Blue Mountain Mist and highly recommend it. Well decorated for Christmas, they cooked for us a New Year's Eve dinner so we didn't have to go out and fight the crowds. Very nice.

This place was fantastic and the family that runs it is just as personable as can be. We stayed over Thanksgiving and enjoyed some amazing breakfasts, plus in the evenings they put desserts out along with wassail, cider, coffee, and tea. They really do the B&B concept justice. My wife and I stayed in a cabin and absolutely enjoyed every minute, plus they were extremely helpful with any requests we had. They also offer a breakfast delivery option to your cabin if you want to enjoy breakfast that way, but I'd stick to the family-style meal option as meeting everyone else is a huge part of the fun. Also, the location is ideal--just close enough to town that the trip in is very quick, but honestly I wouldn't want to be ANY closer!

Very nice B&B. Clean, beautiful, very comfortable and a wonderful bargain. Very convenient to Dollywood especially and all the area attraction. But...I have an issue, maybe a deal breaking issue, with breakfast. Don't get me wrong. It is excellent. But it is only served, family style, at 9 a.m. Not earlier, not later. 9 a.m. For someone who like to get up early and get out, doing stuff, like being at Dollywood when it opens, that does not work. It will be 10-10:30 before you are out the door. Or skip the breakfast. Those are your options. That may be great for the folks running the B&B...not ideal for many guests.

We stay at Blue Mountain Mist approximately twice a year visiting family. Staying at the inn is like coming home, the atmosphere is relaxing and inviting, food always fantastic and the family that owns the inn and their staff will always make sure your stay is comfortable. We often meet and talk to repeat visitors anytime we stay there, how often can you say that anywhere else.

I stayed at the Honeysuckle cabin and it was great. Norman and Sarah have always done their best to make me feel right at home. I stay at a lot of hotels during the year and it is always a special treat to stop at BMM. I would highly reccommend it to anyone who travels and is looking for a special place to stay.

There isn't even one negative thing to say about Blue Mountain. Everything was amazing. We wish that there would have been more leaves on the trees, but there isn't much they could have done about that :)

We have been staying at Blue Mountain Mist for over 10 years. Blue Mountain Mist is the BEST Bed & Breakfast we have ever stayed in. My wife and I look forward to visiting with them at least twice a year. If I was Rich, I would retire and live there.

This is indeed a wonderful place to stay anytime you are near the Pigeon Forge area. Sarah & Norman were very cordial & friendly allowing you to involve yourself with other guests as much or little as desired. Each evening wonderfully delicious pies, cakes, and other deserts were available with fresh coffee or other drinks. Breakfast was a special treat both mornings we were there and the opportunity to share "family style" with other guests was very enjoyable. I heartily recommend the Blue Mountain Mist Inn to anyone.

Blue Mountain Mist Country Inn was a wonderful place to spend 5 days for a get away. Great Christain atmosphere!

We have stayed at Blue Mtn Mist numerous times over the past 20 years. We have stayed in the main house as well as the cottages. We have watched the children grow up, move away, and return to help run the inn. Can't say enough good things about our experiences. The quiet and solitude is wonderful. Places such as this attract only the finest guests. Warm, friendly gatherings at the breakfast tables as well as the nightly desserts. Even the nicest and cleanest hotels can't hold a candle to the atmosphere and accomodation you find here. We make it a point to try and stay here whenever we are in the area. Sometimes you have to reserve early, especially during peak times. Just my wife and I have stayed here as well as with our daughter as a small child and now a teenager. Every time has been great. Highly recommended. We will be there again soon for a last minute get away before school starts.

We stayed two nights just to get away. The Innkeepers were very friendly and answered all of our questions about where to go while we were there. Breakfast was wonderful and the nightly desserts were great. The cottage was extremely comfortable and we had everything we needed. Can't wait to go back in the fall!!

Staying at the Blue Mountain Mist Inn was like staying at home without a care in the world. Breakfasts are wonderful. Views are beautiful. Your days relax you and you will feel at ease with the world. Inn shows the love of Jesus in all they do. Rooms are comfortable and reasonably priced. For exercise try running up the hill 7 times we did what a work out!

The innkeepers have thought of everything! Every effort has been made to accomodate any request, and you don't even have to ask! Well thought-out property and attention to detail. Very attentive to guests and their needs. Especially enjoyed the evening desserts. Breakfast was wonderful, and different each morning! Highly recommend!

Blue Mountain Mist Counrty Inn and Cottage was an awesome experience. They have some wonderful cottages in the woods, with all the amenities you want in a B&B. The atmosphere, even within the main house is quiet and feels like home without having to worry about anything. They serve great breakfasts and it is nice getting to meet others. Good area off the main road, just a few miles outside Pigeon Forge.

We've stayed in three different rooms. Each room is sparkling clean and beautifully decorated with it's own, unique theme. Country comfort with charm and elegance throughout. AND THE FOOD, desserts in the evening are SUPERB and the breakfasts are untouchable - especially the stuffed french toast. Great people running a great Inn. LOVE IT!!!!!

The hosts are gracious...the food delicious...the room is warm and romantic...the views are beautiful...the peace in this house will refuel you for a return to regular life...but you WILL be back.

I felt as if I were visiting with family. Absolutely beautiful and extremely comfortable. A must stay whenever close to Severville, TN or build your getaway around this charming inn.

I have stayed at numerous bed and breakfasts over the years and I highly recommend this one. It is much nicer than most hotels in the area and for about the same price. The gourmet breakfast are excellent and the evening desserts are a nice touch. I do plan to stay here again.

My wife and I stayed for our anniversary. It is a charming, wonderful place to stay. We love the staff. They are good Chritian people with a great gift of hospitality.

Very comfortable with a wonderful front porch view of the mountains. Coffee is always on and some of the most wonderful pies (along with other goodies). The pecan pie I still dream about!! We were near Cade's Cove, Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. Be sure to update your GPS...my three year old GPS did not recognize the new road near the Inn.

We highly recommend Blue Mountain Mist. The room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was great! Very quiet for sleeping. Sarah was very nice to offer ideas for visiting that our three year old would enjoy.

We spent our first anniversary and first experience at a bed & breakfast was at the Blue Mountain Mist. The grounds and home are stunning, the food was delicious, and the Ball family is amazing. I would go back without question and encourage anyone going to the Smokey Mountains for a vacation to spend their time at the Blue Mountain Mist.

Staying at the Blue Mountain Mist has become an anniversary tradition. We love the Sugarlands Bridal Room with the giant jacuzzi tub in the turret and the breathtaking mountain views. If you can move after the amazingly delicious country breakfast, served family style in the dining room, or delivered to your room, you can check out the outlet mall in Pigeon Forge, hike in the Great Smoky Mountains, or drive thru the Gatlinburg Arts and Crafts district, all accessible by "the back roads," with maps provided to help you bypass as much traffic as possible. When you return from your days outings, relax in the garden room downstairs with a big slab of chocolate cake, or my favorite, Sweet Potato cake with Carmel frosting just like my grandma's. Norman and Sarah have become like family over the years. They never fail to ask after the health of my husband's family who stayed at the inn for years until my mother-in-law's health prevented her from traveling. Each year, vacationing at the inn is like visiting home, only someone else does the dishes.

We understand the need for rest and family time and were very touched that you treated us so well! We looked around for a place to stay on our honeymoon and found some places that would do (though weren’t ideal) and out of those, some of them weren’t even open. We found one and visited and were very glad that we did, we cancelled that night. Then… we found the Blue Mountain Mist. It had the best of everything we were looking for. We wanted a true bed and breakfast; we also wanted it to have a Jacuzzi and a fireplace. Ideally we further preferred a cabin to “a room” in an inn for the privacy. We just couldn’t seem to find anywhere that had all of that and had decided we’d have to settle. We are SO glad that we didn’t!!! I can’t tell you how restful, relaxing, and just wonderful our stay with you was! I couldn’t possibly list all of the things that impressed me about your inn, but a few of them include the gorgeous scenery, the great hospitality, unbelievable food (delivered hot and fresh to our door), and perfect rooms / cabins (ours was the honeysuckle)! If anyone is trying to figure out where to have a wonderful, relaxing get-away, they would be remiss to miss the Blue Mountain Mist, Country Inn! We stayed at the Blue Mountain Mist Country Inn in the main house and were pleasantly surprised by the spaciousness and cleanliness of the room. Decor was delightful. The bed was super comfortable. Be prepared for a great nights rest. The house was very quiet in the evening. Nice to relax, read or plan your next day. There are numerous sitting areas on 3 different levels. Food: The breakfasts were bountiful and delicious. Most everything from scratch! The hospitality in the dining room was very gracious without being "fussy". Temptation Station -- Don't miss it! Each evening, we had our choice of several pie and cake offerings. Always plenty of coffee, hot tea, and other beverages available. Because we were there in December, the home was beautifully decorated (inside and out)with Christmas finery. Relax on the front porch in the morning and watch the blue mist dissipate. I recommend this B&B to anyone traveling in the area. Location is very convenient to many points of interest. Since breakfast is included, the value is excellent when compared to local hotels and there's just nothing like the family, friendly staff and atmosphere to make your stay here so much better than a hotel. We'll definitely return.

Our stay in October of 2008 was way beyond our expectations in every way. The hospitality by the family was exceptional and the food was wonderful. We will certainly return and recommend to all of our friends.

Stayed here over Thansgiving 2008. By far one of the best experiences we ever had!! The Balls and their staff went above and beyond to meet all of our needs. Our 13 year old son even got to hang out with their grandkids. We loved the cottage experience. A little privacy yet close access to main house, which was stunning. Always felt like Grandmas house when you entered. The smell of sweet pot. cake and fresh baked goodies overwhelmed. Our bed was a little firm but that was the only thing not perfect. Do yourself a favor and go. We will definitly return!!!!!

This place is perfect. It is located in The Great Smoky Mountains and you can do as much or as little as you want to do. You are located in the country right in the mountains, but are only minutes away from Dollywood, shopping, hiking, horseback riding, great restaurants and Gatlinburg. The inn is beautifully kept by a warm, friendly staff of family and employees who make you feel at home. The landscaping is beautiful and the huge front porch is a great place to sip sweet tea and rock away the day. Breakfast is southern style, abundant, varied and always delicious. Norm`s fruit cup is very popular and changes with the seasons. If you have any special needs in your diet, let them know and they will help you out. The big highlight is late in the afternoon when Eric brings out the homemade desserts. They are rich, beautifully presented, and mouth-wateringly delicious. We go here twice a year and I wouldn`t think of going anywhere else.

We stayed at the Blue Mountain Mist Inn in Sevierville, Tennessee for four days for our daughter's wedding about 15 minutes away at the Rosewood Gardens, Sevierville. Our stay was wonderful. We rented a house that is on the property which suited our family more than adequately and the accomodations were wonderful. The setting was beautiful, quiet, and the hosts delightful. Breakfast every morning at nine was served family style at the Inn, dessert was served in the evening to those who wanted to enjoy food and company together. We originally tried to reserve three beautiful rooms in the Inn, but they had only one left when we tried to reserve those in June. However, renting the house turned out to be a better idea for us in the long run and gave us freedom to talk and be together. We would go back in a minute!

Our stay was fantastic!! Now that I know about Blue Mountain Mist I will never settle for a hotel rooom in Gatlinburg again. Great atmosphere with breathtaking views. Breakfast was as good as Mama's. our stay at the blue moutain mist was probably one of the best vacations my husband and I have ever had!! The inn is just wonderful..peaceful, beautifully decorated, comfortable rooms, with everything you could think of provided, not one detail overlooked. Unbelievable breakfast, and every afternoon we couldn't wait to see what homemade treat Eric had made. The entire staff are so wonderful, I just can't wait to come back here again...absolutely fabulous!

We have stayed in many Bed and Breakfasts and this is one of the best. Although it is not on the select registry, this bed and breakfast would qualify. We had come to Tennessee to go to Dollywood. Blue Mountain Mist Country Inn was able to get us Dollywood tickets 2 days for the price of 1 day. The rooms were tastefully decorated, very clean with comfortable beds and pillows. The breakfasts were delicious. We had 2 children with us and they enjoyed the breakfasts also. We requested Blueberry pancakes one day and stuffed French Toast another time and they accommodated our wishes. The desserts prepared each evening was so delicious-sometimes after a long day at Dollywood-that was supper to us. The grounds are so beautiful and peaceful. My husband and I would like to return and just enjoy the Bed and Breakfast and the 60 acres of peaceful bliss. They had a lot of places to sit and relax, internet access with a computer available, and a large screen TV for movie watching with lots of family friendly movies available. Five cousins and one aunt just stayed at the Blue Mountain Mist while enjoying Dollywood, and a couple of shows. The accommodations were outstanding and the full breakfasts were delicious and something different every morning. Highly recommend this place.

We especially enjoyed relaxing on the Victorian style wrap around front porch. It was incredibly peaceful with beautiful mountain and garden views and lots of hummingbirds and butterflies. Coffee is available early in the morning for us early risers and breakfast is fabulous. It is served family style so that you can just take only what you want to eat. During our stay we had stuffed french toast, pancakes, quiche and many other delicious dishes. The afternoon desserts are something to look forward to after a long day of hiking. The personnel are very accommodating and seem to be readily available should you need anything. The public areas are spacious and numerous so you can have some privacy even if there are many other people staying. It was a wonderful experience and we came away wishing we had a couple more days to stay.

This was our 10th, maybe 15th, stay at Blue Mountain Mist. We've introduced three other couples to this Inn. All loved it as much as we do and wish to return. Not only are the accomodations exceptional, the hosts are delightful. Privacy is respected, but friendliness is abundant.

We recently stayed at the Blue Mountain Mist in the Honeysuckle cottage. It was a perfect get away to celebrate an anniversary. Reservations and check in were so easy. Our cottage was just the right size with all of the amenities we needed. We ate breakfast in the main inn each morning - the food was delicious and eating breakfast with the other guests was also enjoyable. Many of the guests we encountered were repeat visitors to BMM. There was always goodies and sweet tea available in the inn when we stopped by in the afternoon or evening. The location was great....the views from the porch and walking around the yard was beautiful. However, we were just a few minutes from all the restaurants and activities of Pigeon Forge. We felt like we were a guest in a home rather than a hotel number. We will definitely come back to Blue Mountain Mist.

We've stayed here every summer since 2004 & hope to continue for years ahead. A delicious breakfast is brought to our cabin every morning & an even more delicious dessert awaits us every evening. The perfectly clean cabins are so cozy with fireplaces, jacuzzi tubs, & private back porches. You can take a peaceful, quiet hike in the Smokies or enjoy the entertainment of Pigeon Forge, always returning to the peaceful abode of Blue Mountain Mist. This is definitely our home away from home!

My husband and I came to the Blue Mtn. Mist Inn to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. The accommodations were exquisite - clean, please to the eye. The setting was peaceful. The food was delicious. We'd love to come again.

My wife and I have stayed with Sarah & Norman several times over the years. We decided to take a family vaction and inclued the kids and grandkids. We rented the 3br/3ba house behind the main house. It was perfect. Great privacy, room for the grandkids to run & play. And as always, great meals to start the day! We will be back!!!!

6/7/08 We stayed there for our 5th anniversary (we were actually married at the inn outside in the gazebo) and it was as lovely as we remembered it to be. The room was so clean and romatic and quite being away from all the traffic in town. The food is wonderful and we look forward to going again.

05/19/08 - 05/23/08 I first stayed at this B&B a little over 10 years ago. I loved it then and I still love it now. Very relaxing atmosphere, wonderful food, beautiful rooms and property. The staff were all very helpful and knowledgeable about the surrounding area. Guests are encouraged to make themselves at home; this is truly a fantastic B&B!

We stayed in one of the cottages, and it was perfect. Cozy, first class, and CLEAN. The breakfasts were delicious, and the staff were professional, yet friendly. Honestly, this rates as one of my favorite places on earth! Linda and Bailey

Beautiful setting in the mountains - loved having the privacy of the cottage but also the availability of being in the main inn. Loved the delicious breakfast delivered each morning in the basket to our cottage. Innkeepers were very gracious and helpful as were all the others working there. We plan to go back and tell all our friends about our wonderful stay there.

50 yyr old, newlywed (second marriage) this was a great suprise. I love old home places and have always wanted to stay in one. This one was great to start with. We stayed in a delightful cottage. It was immaculant, clean, warm & romantic. The breakfasts we enjoyed was fisrt blessed by the owners, who came in and visited with us all there. They were so hospitable. WOW! #1 in my book!

I visited the Blue Mountain Mist for the 2nd time this past weekend with my 2 best friends. My first time was an anniversary trip with my husband back in November. We stayed in the LeConte Suite and were extremely comfortable. Norman, Sarah and the rest of the family were wonderful hosts. Breakfast was delicious. We are planning to make our girls trip an annual event. A wonderful place to get away with your husband as well!

This is our first time ever staying at a bed and breakfast and it was great .I loved the hospitality and the comfort of like being home.The rooms were so decorated to give you that country feeling and were warm and toasty. I would definitely stay again.

We stayed in the Trillium cabin and it was cute, clean and private. The back porch, complete with 2 rockers and a porch swing, was romantic, perfect for sipping a glass of wine in the evening or watching the light filter through the trees in the morning. Breakfast was good and the innkeepers very nice. $179/night for mid-week/mid-November was a bit high and almost discouraged us from booking (and after our stay, I still think it was too high, which is why I only gave it a 3 out of 5 on the value scale). A word of caution: Non-Christians may find the open Bibles, Ten Commandment plaques, Grace at breakfast, etc. uncomfortable.

We recently stayed at this inn, and can't say enough good things about it. The innkeepers are so thoughtful, the food is terrific, and we loved our room. This was our second visit, and we'll go again.

My Wife and I were looking for a relaxing weekend to get away from the usual grind, and the Blue Mountain Mist Inn, owned and operated by the Ball Family, provided us with the environment we needed. Hospitality is the mainstay at this beautiful hideaway in the Smokies. Breakfast was beyond compare, and each evening numerous delectable delights were provided for the guests; desserts that would fill your Grandma with envy. The inn is clean and all the amenities are just what they should be. The setting is quiet and absolutely beautiful. I'll never stay anywhere else if I travel to the Smokies. The Ball family is providing travelers with the most incredible of vacation experiences in this day and time...a true vacation.

This is the absolute best Bed and Breakfast in the Smoky Mountains and one of our favorites in the USA. We have been there five times already [some in April and some in October]. Each time the hospitality was top-notch, the rooms were comfortable, unique, well maintained. The breakfast was enough to keep you going til dinner and it was delicious. The complimentary cakes, brownies, pies and beverages from around 4:00 to 7:00 pm were such a special treat, you don't want to have dessert at whatever restaurant you were at. The location of the Blue Mountain Mist is away from the awful traffic of Gatlinburg. Getting into the park was an effortless and simple drive of 15 minutes. It is close to Dollywood as well. The rocking chairs on the front and side porch provide a relaxing venue and breath-taking view to meet guests from all of the world. They have a little trail [about one-tenth mile] around the inn for those wanting an extra little hike without driving. Most of all, Norman and Sarah Ball and their family were the absolute nicest hosts you'd ever meet. We highly recommend the Blue Mountain Mist.

Expremely nice people, clean rooms, great location - minutes from the parkway in Pigeon Forge. The honeymoon suite is our favorite! Great views of the mountains. Very relaxing. Breakfast was great but if you are not used to eating with strangers, it could be a little uncomfortable. Otherwise, a wonderful place to stay. We will be sure to do it again.

We cannot say enough wonderful things about this B&B. They went above & beyond the call of duty, assuring that our wedding was exceptional! The family atmosphere, the breakfasts, the absolute phenominal desserts were more than we could have hoped for. The B&B is beautiful, we felt like we were part of the family! The rooms were great - we had Chimney Tops with a view of the mountains. All the extras and fine touches are provided. It is obvious that Norman and Sara are very experienced and very caring. The Christian atmosphere was a big plus. We will be back and will bring friends the next time.

This was a gift from my church to my wife and I. Previously we had avoided Bed and Breakfast accomadations desiring more solitude. This experience was unique though since it provides seperate cottages for those desiring a more personal time. It was perfect for us and went beyond our imaginations. I have had the opportunity to stay at some top hotels while travelling and would put Blue Mountain Mist in the same category with any 4 star hotel in regards to amenities, service, and atmosphere. They exceed these hotels and make a distinctive mark with delivered breafast's, personal attention to needs, and fresh home-made desserts. They are in a convenient location to Sevierville and Pigeon Forge (less than 10 min.) but far enough away to feel secluded. So there is plenty to do in the area or nothing to do if you desire. We are already planning when we can visit again.

Our second stay was better than the first and the first stay was GREAT!!! The B&B to compare all others too. The full breakfast was the talk of everyone, especially the stuffed French toast. The hospitality, and friendliness are above all we've experienced. Sitting on the front porch listening to the frogs in the pond or viewing the well-kept grounds was relaxing beyond belief. It's hard to believe this country setting is just a few miles from all the action of Sevierville/Pigeon Forge. Thanks so much Norman, Sarah, Eric, Tony, Jason, and all the others! We will be back!!!

We stayed here for our One year anniversary. It was our first experience with B&Bs and it was great. The home is beautiful, there are lots of things to look at. Or room was very nice, clean, and super comfy. Its extremely close to pigeon forge but you feel that you are out in the country. The breakfast was delicious too!!

We were married at the Inn in July 2006 and chose to come back for our one year anniversary this year. We know the owners better than most since we live right down the road from the Inn. The Inn represents the best in the area - people, location, view and food. The rooms are gorgeous and the cabins are private and like a home away from home.

We drove from TX to TN for our honeymoon. Blue Mountain Mist turned out to be the perfect place to stay. Our cottage was beautifully setup & decorated, was very romantic, and was spotless. Breakfasts were varied and all tasty! And the evening desserts? The only word to describe them is YUMMY! While the accomodations were just lovely, the best part was the service. EVERYONE bent over backwards to make us feel welcome and well cared for....it was just wonderful! Thank you very much & we'll see you next year!
