This B & B is a spacious 1902 Victorian Cottage on the National Historic Register. It is one storey, with twelve foot ceilings, original heart of pine floors, decorative millwork, antiques and historic maps, and is renovated with central heat and air. There are two guest sleeping rooms, each with private bath, and a guest sitting room with library/TV/VCR; a deck and perennial garden within an enclosed back yard. Full breakfast, with mostly organic food. Smoking on porches only. Resident cat. No guest pets.

Located on east side of city, across Cumberland River from downtown Nashville. Take exits #49 or #48 from I-24. If #49, turn east (away from downtown skyline) to 8th street, left on 8th, two more blocks to yellow house on corner of 8th and Fatherland. If #48, (approaching from the north or west), go two blocks, turn left on Woodland St. (going away from city skyline), drive about five blocks, turn right on 8th, two more blocks, and B&B is at left corner of 8th and Fatherland St.

From airport, drive west to Nashville on I-40 to I-24 W. Take exit 49, and turn right on Shelby Avenue. After three traffic lights (about 5 blocks), turn left on 8th street. Two more blocks and B&B is on right at corner of 8th and Fatherland Street.
