Fox Manor Bed and Breakfast

We have been to several B&Bs over the years and Fox Manor is the best we have ever been to. The attention to detail was unbelievable. Patricia is the best hostess ever. She is friendly and informative about everything and she cooks like an angel. The Upside down apple pancake is so good it will make you cry. My husband and I cannot wait to go back. Nicely furnished and very clean. A little strange to stay at a bed and breakfast and not see anyone who works there. We couldn't stay for breakfast, but the Panera gift cards were a nice touch.

Fox Manor is by far the best B&B experience we have had. Every aspect of the stay was beyond expectations. The attention to detail from the arrival board greeting and key purse to the sumptuous breakfasts were fabulous! The house is roomy and the fireplaces beautiful. The common spaces are very comfortable. Amenities included bath soaps, hair products, an array of coffees, cookies, wine, water soda.....shall I go on? Patty, our host was more than accommodating and anticipated our every need. She was charming and very knowledgeable of the area and what to see and visit.

We booked the Master Suite... Wow! This was the most fantastic place my husband and I ever stayed at! It was more than we could have ever asked for. The breakfasts were wonderful, and ample... we couldn't finish everything offered at the table. The coffee was delicious. It would take hours to describe everything we loved about this place. We could find nothing lacking or needing attention. If you want to be pampered, this is the place to be. The extra few dollars for the master suite is worth every bit. I will definitely recommend The Fox Manor to all my friends.

We made a quick trip to Kingsport and spent one night at Fox Manor and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. A beautiful home, filled with antiques, art, and thoughtful comforts at every turn. Our room, Master Suite, was spacious, decorated beautifully, and we loved the fireplace operated by a remote! Another stay is definitely in our future.

I rated this B&B outstanding because that was the highest rating possible. All areas received this rating because there were simply no deficiencies. It was truly a home away from home.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Fox Manor on our way to North Carolina. The room was very nice and comfortable and the breakfast was excellent.The building itself was very interesting and we especially enjoyed sitting on the porch and enjoying the birds.

The ambiance was like going back in time. It was so restful and calm. All the pressures of modern day were left behind. The innkeeper's were delightfully hospitable and breakfast alone was worth the trip. Very elegant! Certainly merits a return trip!

We stayed at Fox Manor to break up a long drive from Gettysburg to Atlanta. We expected high quality and were amazed by the superb accommodations of this B&B. As it was a holiday, we were the only guests and had run of the whole property. The house is immaculate and has every amenity you can think of - nothing has been overlooked. We are looking forward to our next visit.

Wonderful place to stay. I had only a short time there, but everything was perfect. I would recommend Fox Manor to anyone staying in the Kingsport area.

Fox Manor was much more than we expected. It was very elegant but also very comfortable. We felt welcomed from the time we arrived until our departure. The meals were delicious and the service outstanding! The Halliday's were very cordial and entertaining. I would highly recommend Fox Manor to anyone and look forward to a return visit in the future.

The common rooms were well appointed and beautifully decorated. We were made to feel at home, given access to the water, coffee, soft drinks, and wine; not to mention some really good, home-made cookies.

The Master Suite is a must for anyone seeking R&R. The breakfast was delicious and bountiful. The hospitality was superb. We are hooked on this B&B.

I can't say enough about the recent stay at Fox Manor B&B. Everything was exceptional from the rooms to the service of the staff. We were treated as family - I can only say it was hard to leave such a relaxing and elegant place. Hope to return one day. Thanks to everyone for the extra special touches for my Mom's 90th B-Day. This B+B was very comfortable. The innkeeper was friendly and helpful. The bed was very comfortable. Unfortunately, something/animal was attacking birds during the night and wakened me about 2:20 am. This was heard over the ceiling fan and AC. The room was very small but serviceable for one night. I missed having a table to lay my personal items on and had to resort to putting things on the floor. The public rooms were cozy and pleasant. I was, unfortunately, unable to stay for breakfast and they packed a carry-out box for me.

The B&B is beautiful inside and out - lovely interior and beautifully landscaped garden. The breakfasts were superb. The hosts provide all the amenities you could want yet give the guests a great deal of privacy and freedom to enjoy the house and its grounds. No complaints at all. We stayed in the master suite on the first floor which I would recommend but the rooms upstairs and the small outside cottage are also very nice.

The warmth of our hostess, the size, quality and taste of the wonderful breakfast, the size and atmosphere of our room and it's bathroom, the soft, cozy robes, the chocolates that were works of art, the ambience of the whole place, outstanding cleanliness, soft aromas - we were astounded by everything. The Fox Manor B&B has done a great job at making sure all of your senses get a vacation!

We had a fantastic time at the Fox Manor B&B. We visited the area for a NASCAR race and it was a quick 20 mile drive to the track. We were able to experience the excitement of a race, then come home to an opulent, warm, and friendly environment. Our hosts were over the top with regard to service, breakfast, & advice. The breakfasts were incredible (right out of a cooking magazine), the room was uber-comfortable (we sunk into the bed and fell fast asleep every night), and the hosts Walter and Susan took care of everything for us (directions to the track, cookies every night, and brownies for our trip back to Charlotte). Without any reservations, I would recommend Fox Manor to anyone traveling to Tennessee!

This was our first visit to a bed and breakfast, and we will do our very best to return. I fear we will be spoiled for anything else. The pictures cannot begin to convey the beauty of the place or how perfectly maintained and spotlessly clean she is. Then there's the pampering we received by our charming hosts who made us wish we could have stayed on for days. Can't wait to go back!

Great stay and a great experience.

This is my second trip to Fox Manor. I have never been treated so much like family. I recommend this place to anyone. It is peaceful and beautiful. A place to get away from everything and feel at home.

I received a gift card to the Fox Manor as a retirement gift from my co-workers. This was the grandest gift anyone could ever receive. This home is a true gem and if you have a heart for antiques and fine living this is the best place to be!!!

Richly decorated with antiques and mural paintings. Private (remember the lock box number to let yourselves in). Gracious, interesting hosts.. The candles were lit and we dined on fine china..A true romantic B&B...

This is going to sound like an inside job...and maybe after becoming a new friend to the InnKeepers and staff of Fox Manor that may even be true...but the only term I can come up with in trying to describe our recent 4 night stay at the Inn is....excellence. The decor and amenities are first rate...the ambience of the historic building stimulates the senses...the food goes beyond description because words like good and savory and tasteful and even elegant do not do it justice. The dining service rivals any 5 star hotel or restaurant. But these items are paled when talking about the caring...make that the loving people who own and operate the Inn. Kingsport is a fairly small Tennessee town of about 50,000 folks. We found the people there to be gentle, hard working and kind. The InnKeepers at Fox Manor not only exemplify the characteristics of the general population they amplify them. There is not enough room on this review to fully give a description of the hospitality we were shown...suffice it to say we have found new "family" nestled the hills of Eastern Tennessee in the form of the folks at Fox Manor. This was our first stay in a B&B. I had heard great things about B&Bs in general. Fox Manor was a terrific first experience. Breakfast, while prepared wonderfully, was not as abundant as I'd imagined. Again, since it was our first time, maybe the portions were typical for a B&B.

The Halliday family is wonderful, they make you feel like part of the family. I've stayed with them a few times and hope to stay a few more! Breakfast is amazing and can't forget the cookies & brownies!

Outstanding visit. This is a marvelous, well thought out, friendly place. We left feeling very special with so many details cared for in an amazing home. We certainly would renew our visit with the Kingsport area because of our experience!

I can not say enough about this B&B. The minute we walked thru the door we felt like we were at home. There is so much to see just within the home itself. The only regret we have was that we couldn't stay longer. Patricia, Susan and Walt treat you as a member of their family. I was worried about privacy since this was our first visit in a B&B but there was no need to worry here. You have a beautiful comfortable home to enjoy and all the privacy you need. After searching thru many B&B's online this one I found to be unique as it offers the feel of times past with the beautiful antiques and century old home in combination with a wonderful pub room with a big screen TV. It's old world meets modern convience. If you stay here you MUST try one (or more) of their delicious cookies but their bottomless cookie jar! They even packed us a box for the road to enjoy on our trip back. Everything is thought of for you, down to each little detail.... You don't even have to guess about the weather because the forcast for the days ahead is in a beautiful frame in the back hall. Be prepared to feel pampered and enjoy a relaxing stay! We plan to go back for years to come. As I said, what can I say? This is just a place you need to experience for yourself. Words and pictures do not do this B&B justice!

My husband and I stayed last year in October and we had a wonderful quiet time. It is a nice quiet town and a wonderful service. We are returning this year in November to stay longer.

This was a beautiful place and very well run. Susan and Walt treated me like an old friend. They prepared breakfast for me early so I could get to a soccer game on time. The house is large and quiet with large common areas to gather or be by yourself. A wonderful stay and a much needed rest!
