Wonderful Stay from beginning to end! Pam was an excellent hostess and extremely helpful to all of us in planning our stay. We did not wind up eating any meals with them, but Pam did leave a sweet basket of delicious treats for us in our cabin as she knew our schedule did not permit a meal with her. The treats were wonderful and she even left us milk and coffee for use in the cabin as she knew we were arriving late. The cabin was spacious and clean and made for a wonderful place for us to return each night and gather around the dining room table to talk about the events of our day. Watching the sun rise outside our front porch was a gift each day. I would highly recommend Nolichuckey Bluffs and look forward to the next opportunity that we have to stay there again.

We loved this place and will stay again if we get to return to East Tennessee. Our cabin overlooked the Nolichuckey River. We sat on the deck and listened to the silence. Great breakfast. Great place to go to rest and rejuvenate.

We did not know what we were in for until we arrived. My significant other and I staying at the Watermill Cottage not too far from the main cabins. The cottage was beautiful for two and very romantic! We were able to cook what meals we wanted to and had plenty of room! The antiques were great to look at (being from New England and loving antiquing I was in love). The temperature was perfect when we arrived and was easy to adjust if needed. All we could really say is how impressed we were with our stay and how much we loved it! The homemade gift basket was a great hit along with the cheesecake in our romance package! We've already recommended it to friends and family back north and will more than likely return next summer! The owner was only a phone call away and helped us with anything we needed. One of us had never been to the south before and now is happy to report it's more than she would have ever asked for! The breath taking views from the cottage and the land surrounding it are ones that filled her camera of photos that are album perfect! The only thing we would have changed is the water pressure in the shower (but then again one of us used to be a plumber!) and maybe the master bedroom and guest room/living area layout. Maybe switch the two around so if there is a 3rd person they do not have to walk through the master bedroom to use the rest room? We didn't have this issue but just thinking out loud if we ever have youngsters because of course we will want to bring them down! Thank you again for An amazing stay and our terrific new memories!!

Cabin was beautiful and the view of the mountains and river from the balcony was spectacular. We stayed in the Red Bud Cabin and it was furnished with everything we needed for our stay. Breakfast was wonderful along with the conversation with Pam and Debbie.

This was the perfect place for to relax, enjoy, and reminisce about times past as a family growing up in Southwest Va. The cabin, fresh garden picked fruits and vegetables, and the delicious goodies from your store has made our visit a cherished memory. Thank you!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cabin and grounds were clean and quiet. Having an oven and operational kitchen was an added benefit that allowed us to take a dish to our family reunion. Without hesitation, I would recommend them to everyone. We'll definitely stay here again.

Had a great stay in the Dogwood Cabin. The cabin was very clean and furnished well. We sat on the porch overlooking the river and could not hear traffic or anything to disturb the quietness. Spent two nights there and had two great breakfast's at Gramma's Cupboard. We chose to drive to breakfast but could have walked. Great place to relax and get a good rest and country breakfast.

My husband and I really needed a break from our busy schedules so we decided to travel from Indiana to Tennessee to stay at Nolichuckey Bluffs to rest, relax, and do some hiking. This was the perfect choice! We stayed in the Redbud Cabin - it is beautiful inside and out. The view from the front porch was absolutely beautiful and the cabin was very clean and comfortable. I have to say though that the best part of our stay there was having the opportunity to meet Pam and Debra for their delicious breakfasts at Gramma’s Cupboard. They are both so friendly (and such good cooks!). We would love to return for another visit in the very near future.

The cabins are located in an area among farms and golf course homes and overlook a beautiful bend in the Nolichuckey River. We stayed at the Dogwood Cabin which had a porch with rocking chairs and a wonderful view of the river. Such bliss. A glass chapel that overlooks the river along with a working gristmill are located nearby and are worth exploring. The furnishings are a bit dated but functional (e.g. a 90’s era TV, underpowered microwave, no Wi-Fi) The master bedroom mattress was soft for my taste but not worn out. The kitchen had everything you would need to cook a meal (pots/pans/dishes) should you choose to do so. The included breakfast was simple and delicious. All in all, a quiet relaxing getaway from the rigors of daily life.

My husband and I stayed for a weekend at Nolichuckey Bluffs Cabins and had a wonderful time. The cabins were clean and had all the necessities. There was a full kitchen so we were able to cook and not worry about eating out. The cabin also had an amazing view and the property as a whole was great. The owner was more than accommodating and helpful, and her breakfast on Sunday was excellent! I would recommend this for anyone who is looking for a nice, relaxed getaway.

We love the location of the log cabin. It was a great experience to share with our grandchildren, especially being so close to Gatlinburg and Jonesboro. We loved the coziness of the log cabin and the view the front porch had of the Noilchuckey. River. The last night there, it even snowed enough for them to play outside in it! The only negative we have is that the downstairs bathroom has a bad odor--so bad that we bought deodorizers and spray! It smelled like the septic tank had backed up! Luckily, we did not have to spend too much time in there! Also, after using the fireplace the first night (successfully) the next night the damper must have shut up in the chimney because the downstairs filled up with smoke; obviously we did not try to use it again while we were there. The freshly baked cookies were great as well as the breakfast and the home-made coffee cake!

Gorgeous views, friendly and entertaining hosts, Pam Sadler and Debra, delicious home-cooked very healthy breakfast, neat and clean cabin, speedy internet service....Nolichukey Bluffs has it all! My two daughters and husband raved about my choice and wished we could stay a day or two longer. Beautiful vacation spot - can't wait to come back again. The cabin is well furnished with all necessities. Just take some groceries and have a beautiful, peaceful, and enjoyable retreat with family. Thanks, Pam - you are amazing! Kokila Ravi

We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay at Nolichuckey Bluffs. My wife and I stayed in the Loft at Grist Mill, and it was truly amazing. We enjoyed the adventure of the outdoor outhouse (which is truly a modern bathroom outside). The mill is so cute, quaint, and relaxing. We also highly recommend a visit to the Margarette Falls--and don't be shy to take a dip! The most amazing part of the trip, though, are the people. Pam and the others are truly amazing; more than accommodating, and pure joys. The home cooked breakfast is also really a treat. We can't wait to go back!

We loved the loft at the grist mill. It is a cozy, romantic and unique. The comfortable bed has a big picture window with a view of the tree tops and the river. There is a window behind the bed that looks down into the grist mill itself, which I thought was a clever detail. The claw foot tub is divine! I was also pleased that the room had a wonderful clean cedar smell and air conditioning that you can use to control the temperature. Also, the outdoor bathroom is a proper flush toilet, with lights and a sink, not an outhouse. For a "rustic" cabin it is down right swanky! There is a porch in the back to sit on and watch the river and a fire pit which we didn't have time to use. Maybe next time! We were excited to try the beautiful basket of organic vegetables (grown on the property) but since the grist mill only has a microwave and fridge, Pam let us use the beautiful kitchen at Gramma's Cupboard. She was a fantastic host and fascinating person. it was wonderful to visit with her. They do not serve breakfast at Gramma's Cupboard on Saturday mornings. Pam supplied the cabin with homemade baked goods and fruit for our breakfast instead. When we come back again we will try to stay longer!

One of my brother and I’s fondest memories with our father James were kayaking on the Nolichuckey River in East Tn. So before my father had passed in Jan 2013 he requested that my brother and I put his ashes back in the river where we had so much fun. That is how we found Nolichuckey Bluffs and the Sadler family. Our view of the river and mountains from morning to dusk were peaceful and relaxing. The location looking over the Bluffs was the perfect place for Dad's Life Celebration. Have I told you about the morning Breakfast on site at Gramma’s Cupboard? OH…OH… MY….. Outstanding!! Fresh fruit and vegetables (grown right there on site) homemade pear sauce, applesauce, bread, jams, figs, berries and much, much more. The time spent at the Nolichuckey Bluffs and everything that Pam, Debra, Brooke, Pat and the entire staff provided is PRICELESS. Just what Dad wanted and just what my family and I needed! Truly a place that my family and I will come back to year after year! Thank-You!! Jason & Ruth

MY WIFE AND I STAYED AT THE CABIN AS PART OF A BUSINESS/PLEASURE TRIP TO EASTERN TN. UNFORTUNATELY WE ONLY HAD TIME TO SPEND ONE NIGHT. THE CABIN IS VERY PRIVATE AND A GREAT PLACE TO RELAX AND WATCH THE RIVER GO BY FROM THE BACK PORCH. ONLY IMPROVEMENT I WOULD RECOMMEND WOULD BE OVERHEAD FANS ON THE BACK PORCH TO CIRCULATE THE AIR AND BLOW AWAY THE BITING BUGS.

Really beautiful setting and nice accommodations, wonderful view of the river, great to listen to the coyotes sing; excellent breakfast and the cook very sweet and desirous of pleasing. Lovely place to tromp around, flowers, nice ID on trees and bushes. Full kitchen and great seating areas. Could use low table in bedroom for suitcase. What I did not like was that I longed to open windows in this rustic place but that became very difficult as the windows were stuck. The man who came to help said I wanted too much in an old fashioned place and made fun of my request. (I needed the cool mountain air; the A/C only worked sporadically.) very surprised by the 17% tax.

I found these bed and breakfast cabins in the Stash Tea Guide. We planned to stay 2 nights, and ended up staying 4 nights! A home-cooked breakfast is provided between 8:30 and 9:30 a.m. - you need to confirm with the hosts or cook what time you want breakfast. We had pancakes, waffles, biscuits and gravy (the cook said the biscuits were from a can!), and French toast each day in succession. There was also plain yogurt with blueberries or strawberries in a glaze to mix into the yogurt. Home-baked bread was available to make toast. There was cold cereal if you wanted it. In the cabin, coffee packets were provided for the coffee maker along with one microwave popcorn and a couple hot cocoa packets. The cabin has a full kitchen. I highly recommend Nolichuckey Bluffs! It's about 1-1/2 to 2 hours from the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, NC, depending on what route you drive. The Andrew Johnson Visitor Center is in nearby Greeneville and worth a trip. We didn't go to Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg this time, but that's about 1-1/2 hours away from here as well.

If you want to get away from the hustle & bustle of city life, this is the place for you!! Nature at its finest! Off the beaten path. Back in the cut. The Dogwood's front porch overlooks the river with an abundance of wildlife and breath taking views of the Smokey Mountains. Made to order breakfast, freshly picked eggs & veggies grown on the property, homemade pastries and jam all made by Pam is the icing on the cake! The longer you stay makes you never want to leave! Tranquil serenity at it's finest!

Red Bud cabin was nice and right on the river. Great view! Not luxurious by any means but clean and comfortable. 2 bedrooms - 1 queen and 1 twins. Kitchen and dining area. Breakfast the next morning was good and fun. Talked to the owner and other guests for a long time. Red bud cabin is down a short steep hill - we had a jeep so no problem getting out.

I thouroughly enjoyed the little loft room at the Mill. It was very peaceful and quiet...perfect place to relax, get in touch with nature, and refuel your mind and body. Sitting on the porch drinking my coffee first thing in the morning while listening to the birds was something I hadn't done in quite a while. It seemed like time stood still! I really didn't want to leave and hope to return soon. Pam was so welcoming and even called to let me know my room was ready and waiting. From the goodie basket (which included home-made cookies) waiting for me upon arrival to the soft, comfy robe laid out on the bed calling my name-everything was perfect!

Comfortable, clean and cozy cabin over looking the river. Privacy, woods and peace and quiet. The modern comforts without a bunch of frills which is exactly as we wanted and as we expected. The owner is just a hoot and such a hostess. Will definately return many times.

We arrived late on Tuesday night and had a basket on the table with homemade cookies, coffee and hot chocolate waiting for us. The log cabin was set on a bluff overlooking the river. So quiet and peaceful. We love the kitchen items, especially the old refrigerator and the hoosier style cabinet. It got cold Wednesday so we got wood from the porch of the restaurant and had a great fire. Pam is a wonderful hostess and made us very welcome. Breakfast was fantastic. The first morning we had french toast and homemade granola with fruit, OJ and coffee. We loved sitting around the table meeting new friends. We will be going back as soon as we can. Next time we may not leave.

Nolichucky Bluffs provides unbeatable mountain views and a peaceful retreat. Our two night stay in the Dogwood Cabin at Nolichucky Bluffs was absolutely wonderful. The cabin was ready upon arrival - complete with freshly baked cookies. The cabin has a balcony with a view of the river, and easy access to the glass chapel and paths around the property. Firewood was provided for the wood-burning stove and fire pit outside. The owners provided the fixings for s'mores that topped off a perfect evening around the campfire. Rooms, Service, Value, Cleanliness, Dining - all A+. We enjoyed baked goods made on site as part of breakfast - and were able to purchase freshly baked, healthy, delicious bread and jams to take with us! We look forward to someday visiting again and thank the hosts and staff for everything.

February 10 2013, 2 nights, live in Nashville. The picture of the river was our view from the front porch, no leaves this time of year, still very nice. Had a fire in the fireplace for smores(not free but they have them reasonable), they supply the wood free. Plenty of places to eat nearby. Lots of choice for breakfast, eggs, waffles, pancakes, cereals, coffee, tea, biscuits and gravy is really good.

The staff was super nice and inviting. The breakfast was communal which was delightful, and the pancakes were the BEST I've ever eaten. The Redbud cabin in which we stayed was very comfortable and warm... Oh, and the view was really nice as the cabin is perched right on the bluff... It overlooks the river with the beautiful mountain range in the background. We would have spent more time dazing into this wonderful view, but it was cold and snowing for the better part of our stay. Though we didn't expect it, the cabin came complete with a cable modem (internet access) and cable TV. The linens, beds, and other bedding were comfortable beyond our expectations, and the towels in the bathrooms were pleasantly soft. The whole place was VERY clean, and the cabin in itself didn't have any weird "hotel" smells.

Had a great stay at the Redbud cabin! We ended up hitting a bunch of traffic and checked in 2.5hrs later than we anticipated (8:30 instead of 6). The note left for us (in cabin) said you had to request the free breakfast by 6pm the night before (we hadn't). We took our chances and still called to request the breakfast, and they honired our request even though it was 2.5hrs after the cut-off time! And so glad they did too, it was delicious! Oh, and the view from our cabin was stellar. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!!

The cabin provided all of the comforts of home and there was a good view to enjoy. I appreciated the fact that the kitchen and baths were well equipped. Do feel that an upgrade to include a dishwasher would be helpful. On the down side, there was an odor of sewage in the area and I noticed a PVC pipe that ran from the house to the river..disturbing. Also feel that the owners should make it clear on the website that there is no one in the office starting Friday evening until Sunday morning. That precludes one from scheduling breakfast, getting icecream or checking out a book, etc.
The pvc pipe in question is part of the runoff system for the eaves as the cabin is on the 2nd level. Will check for any eaves blockage problem that could have contributed to any unusual smell. Good comment about the Staurday closing and more information on that. Will work on making that more clear.

Upon following the directions to the cabins it seemed to be out in the middle of nowhere but actually it is very convenient to the town of Greeneville and at the end of Kinser Park Ln is a very extensive recreational facility w/ ball fields , tennis courts, a water slide and swimming pool and much more. The hosts Pat & Brooke were vert hospitable but certainly did not hover. At breakfast I spoke to Brooke and mentioned that I'd like to here the marimba, which sat in the dining area, played. Within minutes, Pat came downstairs and played us a couple of numbers. I thought that was very nice and way above the call of duty.

A good friend of mine when there with me last November. We stayed in the Dogwood cabin. It's in one of the most beatuiful, relaxing areas I've ever seen. The staff are so friendly and nice, they genuinely care that you enjoy your stay. The cabins are very well maintained, cozy, and have everything you need. We orginally went up for a fun, outdoor weekend of hiking. However, it rained the whole time. My friend and I spent the whole weekend at the bed and breakfast... and actually started our relationship there. If you want a quiet, nice, romantic vacation to the moutains... I highly recommend this great place : )

My wife and I stayed in the Loft at the Mill cabin for two nights and loved every minute of it. There is an area for the boys to play...playground, field to play catch, pavilion for parties, firepits, etc. The cabin was cozy and clean with nice decorations and a rustic feel. The view was beautiful and close to many attractions...museums, hikes, etc. The hightlight of our trip would definitely have to be the meal. It was homestyle and delicious. I would highly recommend it to anyone!

Cabin was exceptional; view was phenominal; saw squirrels, coons, eagles; personnel were very friendly; met several other renters at the family table for breakfast. Was worth twice what we paid thru LivingSocial. We will be watching other ads thru LS as we love to travel. Was the most secluded and relaxing 5 days in a long time. We were writing a book and the setting was perfect.

Just got back from stay in log cabin and had a great time. I actually got our reservation dates wrong and thought they were a week later then they really were. The owner was very understanding and accommodated us when I called panicked, realizing what I had done The breakfast every Morning was great with wonderful service and good old fashion visiting. Our cabin was clean with anything we could need. it rained our whole visit but we still had great time sitting on porch swing enjoying the view and the patter of rain on the tin roof. There's a darling wedding chapel right there and I found myself trying to think of who could get married there. Very picturesque.

Great place for a fall vacation to check out the mountains and changing colors.

We have just returned from our week-long stay (and wedding!) at Nolichuckey Bluffs. We loved it! My family stayed in the Log Cabin. It was extremely rustic and charming! I am in love with the refrigerator there. We only had 2 complaints w/ the cabin. The fireplace couldn't be used because the smoke poured into the house after about an hour. :( Although, Mr. Sadler is going to be putting a gas fireplace in soon! The other was that the bathroom had an odor (from the sewage I think?). The cabin needed a little updating, but that's it! The breakfasts were great (also, make sure you try some of Mrs. Sadler's Dakota bread and cinnamon rolls they are AMAZING), the service was great, and my wedding was beautiful. I could not have asked for a more beautiful place. The glass chapel is perfect. The reception was also amazing! The food, cooked by Mrs. Debra, was fantastic. The decor was beautiful. Everything went without a hitch. Would definitely recommend! I would recommend one of the smaller cabins though. Some have jacuzzis!
Guests before and after have had no trouble with a fire in the fireplace. May change to gas fireplace but no final decision. There was a very small problem with the sewer system which has been corrected.

We always enjoy our stay at Nolichuckey Bluffs and this year was no exception. There are always fresh baked goodies on the table when you first get there. The cabins are clean and in a great location. Pat and Brooke are great hosts.

Such a nice place. Our hosts Brooke and Pat were terrific and made us feel like part of their family. The service was very good too and they also made us feel welcome.

My stay in the Loft at the Mill was so enjoyable, peaceful, and relaxing. The rustic cabin along with the cooler weather, beautiful woods, and the Nolichuckey river made everything absolutely wonderful. The Sadler family who runs and owns the cabins have such loving hearts for their guests and made sure all needs were met quickly and efficiently. Each morning at breakfast, they had my seat ready when I arrived and delicious food was on the table before I could sip my coffee. Not only do I recommend Nolichuckey Bluffs to anyone wishing for a rustic, relaxing experience, I hope to bring family and friends for future visits!

My Friends and I had a wonderful stay at Nolichuckey Bluff. And the waffles and blue berry pancakes for breakfast at Grandmas Kitchen were wonderful. Just like mamma use to make! The owners are very nice, hospitable, and helpful. We stayed in the Dogwood cabin, witch had a beautiful view off the porch of the Nolichuckey Bluff river or creek and the beds were very comfortable.

Log cabin was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was delicious--homemade bread, jams, and granola, etc. The innkeepers were a lot of fun to talk with and very helpful!

The cabin was a little outdated and the bed a little old, but we loved hanging out in the jacuzzi on the porch overlooking the river. We would definitely return for the jacuzzi! Breakfast consisted of eggs (cooked to order) and blueberry pancakes, it was very good.

The cabin was much larger than I expected and very nice. Didn't really use any "services", but everything was what I expected. I would go back and would recommend to anyone.

The Dogwood cabin and its back deck view of the river was more than we had envisioned. We were here for the Nascar races in Bristol and stayed in Greeneville hotels for years. We will never stay in one again. The furniture could use updating but everything else made for an over the top weekend. Even the weather was in the 70's. Mike and Cathy Jo

Outstanding doesn’t seem like a strong enough word for this place. The views were spectacular and the service provided by the Sadler family was beyond words. Thank you for a wonderful vacation!

A beautiful location to spend a long weekend. Brooke was a wonderful host and went out of his way to show us the property and things we were interested in.

Although the view was beautiful and the area was very quiet and serene, it was just not our cup of tea. The cabin had not been updated in a while, but it was clean. We had a hard time getting in touch with the owners and no one returned any calls. So, be okay with not knowing if you will get a chance to talk to the owner about anything. The homemade cinnamon rolls were delicious from the Grandma's cupboard; I would recommend the food most.

Very quaint and comfortable. There are actual millworks in the building. Has modern amenities with a primitive flavor. Reasonably priced.

I highly recommend Nolichuckey Bluffs. My mother and I just spent our second time there this past week--along with my faithful dog. Pat and Brooke do so much to make your trip a little extra special. There are homemade cookies and popcorn, candy waiting for you in your cabin. The views are spectacular and the warm feeling you get from the hosts is worth the price--which is more than reasonable!!! You have to check this place out!!!!

My husband and I enjoyed our stay in the Loft so much. Everyone was terrific and the breakfast with homemade waffles were outstanding. It really allows you to rest and relax! We will indeed return and will tell everyone we know. This is truly as close to heaven on earth that there is! Breath taking view! The Bennetts

This place was a HOOT! I stayed in the Loft above the Mill, and can honestly say, it's the best view from an outhouse I have ever seen. Really, the "modern" outhouse comes with a flush toilet, a sink, and a picture window! How cool is that? Ok, maybe this room isn't cut out for the less adventurous, but the view and privacy are both remarkable (a six-point buck walked right by the door the next morning). The hosts are equally remarkable, being extremely well travelled, hospitable and entertaining. Breakfast was like having a meal with the family, only without the fights.
