The Franklin-Pearson House

Revisit the days of steam and steel when you stay at the “Old Hotel” in historic downtown Cowan. This gleaming historic landmark is a 9-room bed and breakfast inn that was once a remarkable railroad hotel. With tastefully fashioned guest rooms, various amenities, upstairs and downstairs sitting rooms, and a delightful morning breakfast, the Franklin-Pearson House is truly a great place to stay! Our incomparable location is only steps away from fine dining, specialty shopping and Cowan Railroad Museum, and is only 7 miles “down the mountain” from The University of the South at Sewanee. Our region also offers fishing, hiking, sightseeing, special events, and other opportunities to add to your itinerary.
