WOW! The word most first timers use when arriving at the top of the mountain. Here, surrounded by the peace and quiet of 140 acres of forest and views, guests are soon relaxing on the open decks and covered porches listening to the birds and watching the clouds drift by. The Inn is the place to put up your feet, slow down, or even go back to bed. Looking for more activity? Take a hike, ride a horse, catch a fish, see a play, read a book, ride a bike, attend a concert, visit a museum, find a bargain – let our concierge service provide you with options to fill your days. Experience our “Pampering Perfected” service throughout your stay with us. No dishes to wash or food to prepare – just pure R&R during your time in the mountains. Nearby Watauga Lake provides opportunities for swimming, boating, fishing, and picnicking so your vacation at the Iron Mountain Inn gives you the best of a mountain vacation and a waterfront vacation. Looking forward to sharing the magic of the mountains with you where every season has a reason to visit.

Vikki Woods was just wonderful. She is such a warm and welcoming, and down to earth person. The food was delicious, the facility clean, and she was most helpful with tips for things to do and local shortcuts to places in the area. Would visit again!!

Every year my husband and I stay at a NC B&B for our anniversary, so this was the first time we crossed state lines for a getaway in the Tennessee Mountains. Needless to say our choice to stay at the Iron Mountain Inn did not disappoint. The owner, Vikki, made sure we felt right at home in her inn, which was large, comfortable and commanded an amazing outdoor view. The meals were delightful, and she even found time to sit down and get to know her guests. The inn's location was also within easy driving distance of many sides and small towns, which was an added bonus. As we were able to get out & explore during the day.

    Escape to the mountains!
