Sitting atop a knoll overlooking Dewey Lake, a "Country Retreat" awaits manor guests in the Irish Hills of Southern Michigan. This 1860's Italianate home has five guestrooms with private baths and fireplaces, one with Jacuzzi tub furnished with antiques and old-fashioned wallpapers. A large deck and glass enclosed porch, with a view of the lake, provides a pleasant place to enjoy a summer breakfast or to just relax. Other rooms include a parlor with a piano and a sitting room with a bay window overlooking the lake, there are eighteen acres to wander and a picnic area by the lakeshore. Guests may also enjoy the paddleboat, canoe, and evening bonfires by the lake. The central location of the Irish Hills offers antiquing, fifty-two spring fed lakes, golfing, fishing, quaint towns, and much more. Car enthusiasts are just 3 miles from Michigan Speedway. Whether you come to enjoy the sweet sounds of a summer night or the quiet stillness of the frozen lake, your stay will be one to remember.

Waterloo Gardens is located on the North end of Chelsea, MI., just minutes from the Common Grill and Purple Rose Theatre. We are located in a beautiful pastoral setting. When the weather is nice, we serve a full and hearty breakfast out on the deck, overlooking the wetlands. Features include a fitness center, pool table, video/DVD library and a 8' x 8' Master Spa and solarium. We hope you don't mind Jessie, our Golden Retriever. Waterloo Gardens is located 17 miles West of Ann Arbor. We offer a smoke free environment. Waterloo Recreation Area starts across the street. We have central air conditioning and offer complimentary bottled water, snacks and sodas. Coffee served at your door when you wake up. We welcome children and families. We have three bedrooms each with a queen size bed and a private bath. There is a common room on the main floor where guest can mingle. On weekends, refreshments will be served in the afternoon and/or the evening. In the morning, you will receive a full American style breakfast featuring fresh fruit, freshly brewed ground coffee, spiced teas, and homemade specialties of the day. During the week, refreshments will be served in the evening only. A European style breakfast will be served in the morning consisting of fresh brewed coffee, tea, and assorted pastries and rolls. Special arrangements can be made for a romantic picnic, your room filled with your favorite bouquets, or a special box of chocolates.
