    Apartment in Gamla Stan

    June 18, 2012

We stayed in the small apartment in Gamla Stan above the roofs of Stockholm. Down the street we had a supermarcet, many coffeeshops and the metro station. Perfect for sightseeing. The apartemnt had a bedroom, living room, kitchen and a bathroom (shower not as we are used to in Germany, but fine for a short stay). Everything very clean, furniture very straight, selected pieces from IKEA. The host Monique, friendly and helpful, tried already before we came to stockholm to afford us a pleasant stay. Because of the wonderful atmosphere, we would book the BB again.

Very nice but could be better...

    August 01, 2011

We booked the B&B for our citytrip in Stockholm. It's a very nice appartment where we got a nice, clean, light bedroom. The hostlady was friendly and always ready to answer the guests questions. Breakfast was very poor (comparing to other adresses we visited) and without variation. There's a very beautiful roofterras but it needs a gardener! Weeds are growing everywhere instead of beautiful flowers... Monique is a nice lady but we think she's not the 'hosttype'.

Even the freeze won't spoil your winter trip if you're staying chez Monique. It's pleasant to have a good breakfast in the morning in her spacious kitchen, it's romantic to take a shower in 70's-style bathroom, it's exiting to watch passing Stockholmers sitting on a wide windowsill after an exhausting day of sightseen. The rooms are big and warm and clean and stylishly decorated. The hostess is always ready to help, and she can give a good piece of advice as for special places to visit, what cafe to choose, etc. And the location is close to everything - we didn't use any transport at all, even walking from remote part of Djurgarden The neighbourhood is even more interesting than an overestimeted bohemian Sodermalm: there are plenty of antique shops in here, nice park, lots of food stores and cosy cafes, and secret parties just round the corner. I would definitely recommend this Bed&Breakfast to all my friends who want to visit Stockholm and hope to return here myself - in summer for the next time.

    Apartment Upplandsgatan

    September 11, 2010

Our holiday in Stockholm didn't start well - the hotelroom we had booked was horrible, we decided we couldn't stay there. Finding a room in Stockholm is harder than we had thought but finally we got the number of citylocations. Monique offered us an apartment in Upplandsgatan, which is located near Odenplan. When we got there, our holiday started. It's a very nice apartment with a little balcony. The apartment has a kitchen(we didn't cook, but it's nice to prepare breakfast), a very nice living room and a bedroom. We felt really comfortable at the apartment, it was just like coming home. The location is great, you get to the underground in just 2 minutes, and around Odenplan are plenty of nice restaurants (I can recommend the Cafe Tranan). I'm glad we had such bad luck with our hotel (which would have cost the same) otherwise we would never have come to this apartment which made our stay unforgettable. Thanks to Monique who was very friendly and easy going. We can only recommend to stay there.

A dreamloft on a great location

    May 16, 2010

Entering Monique's bed & breakfast feels like entering an interior magazine: appartments like this one usely only sees in glossy magazines. It was an unique experience to stay in this wonderful big appartment on the topfloor of an old post office. Windows everywhere, a beautiful bedroom big as a ballroom, a big romantic kitchen and most of all a huge roof terrace with relax chairs and a wonderful view. Going to the bathroom is moulin rouge experience of its own. Monique and her daughter are very nice, relaxed and helpful people. If we come back to Stockholm, we would definitely go back to stay in this bed & breakfast. Keywords: breathtaking and very clean appartment, good location in central Stockholm outside the tourist hub and nice and very helpful people. Staying at Monique's is a unique experience: one can feel like a real Stockholmer, but then one of the happy few.

    FAMILIAR B&B

    April 02, 2010

A central location in Stockholm really close to the old town, either by walking or by public transport (bus, subway); is certainly well situated. The rooms are as they appear on the webpage, confortable and in a really familiar atmosphere. You will feel like in your own house. Totally recomendable!
