The house, right outside of the city of Falun (200 kilometres north of Stockholm) is situated in a quiet residential green area and you have a view of the lake Runn from the breakfast table or from the terrace outside. On the ground floor there is a bedroom with two fully sized beds and the bathroom next door i exclusively for our guests. On the first floor there are one double and two single rooms and a bathroom. There is also a nice open space on the first floor. It's possible to have the whole upper floor for yourselvs even if you are only two persons. If you would like to use the kitchen you are welcome. The house is about four kilometres from the city centre and the bus into the city takes about 8-10 minutes. It,s also about four kilometers to the sportarea Lugnet. Within a close walk you can go swimming and fishing, in wintertime the lake is a great place to go skateing or skiing. You can also borrow a bicycle or take a hike in the woods. The city of Falun offers traditional dalecarlian cultur, exciting history at The World Heritage Site of the copper mine and a nice city centre.

We stayed one week at Gunilla’s place while skating on lake Runn, and had a good time. Ideally situated close to the ice, a bit far from town. Gunnilla picked us up from the train, which was very comfortable, and even drove us to the museum when we had an afternoon off from skating. The rooms are nice, and especially the sitting area gave us a place off our own. Gunilla served us a good breakfast, and let us use her kitchen, so we good prepare our own meals.

We stayed at 5 Bed and Breakfasts during our trip to Sweden in July. Of the 5 I would rate this as the most memorable. We enjoyed Gunilla's congeniallity, the ability to walk down the hill to the lake, her information in getting around the area and the homeness. We shared the whole upstairs with our traveling companions, had wonderful breakfasts and conversations and had our privacy.

We originally booked two nights at this delightful B&B, but extended our stay, as we were very comfortable and enjoyed exploring the area. Our Host, Gunilla was v congenial and accommodating. The beds were comfortable and everything was clean. Breakfast was a true Swedish-style affair, with ample variety and portions. I would highly recommend this gem to anyone wishing to explore Dalarna and soak up some genuine Swedish culture.
