Bed and Breakfast Valencia Mindfulness Retreat

As first time visitors in Valencia we booked a 7 days stay with Thijs and Dany. They were so kind and helpful we couldn't have wished for anything better. The atmosphere in this B&B is very warm and cosy, the hosts will make you feel at home immediately. They also provide their guests with lots of tips regarding the best restaurants, transport and activities in Valencia. The breakfast was overwhelming, lots of fresh fruits, home-made bread, yoghurt, eggs, cheeses, meat, jam, honey, peanut butter, nutella, cereal, pastry, cava, thee, coffee, steamed milk, orange juice.. anything one could wish for. The nicely decorated rooms and comfortable beds guarantee a good night of sleep. Our bathing room was very clean and fresh towels were provided daily. The B&B is located in a quiet street in the middle of Valencia's historical center, however it only takes a few minutes walk to get to the Turias, Plaza Virgen, Plaza de la Reina and lots of lovely restaurants, bars and shops. The beach can be reached in approx. 15 min. by cab, bike or subway. Truly a hidden treasure in a beautiful city ! We will definitely go back !

Look no further, you have found just your perfect get a way in Valencia! Great location in the oldest street of Valencia. Artistic and relaxed atmosphere, with great hosts to tell you all you need to know to find the best places to see, and experience. Not up for a lot of hustle and bustle? Just stay in and have a massage or do some yoga or meditation.............it has everything you want and than some more! The breakfast is just outrageous...........I want to go back!

Nicely authentic Spanish apartment with high ceilings and beautiful view on an old church. The apartment is well done with stuff of the second-hand market and furniture designed by the host himself, thank god an apartment without the standard known design furniture. The host was top and we had the best paella with a view on the beach, a quick & dirty tour through Valencia best known buildings and in the evening delicious tappas on plaza de la Reina. The nightlife of Valencia was so good that I unfortunately did not have experienced the fantastic breakfast (according to my friend). I will return certainly again to enjoy more of the Valencia architecture during daytime than I management this time. TOP location in the centre and TOP host, forget about the hotels.

Man fühlt sich willkommen,wer etwas anderes sucht dann ein Hotel,aber doch nicht auf Comfort verzichten möchte,etwas spezielles sucht,der wird sich hier sehr wohl fühlen.Die Stadt und die Umgebung hat für jeden Geschmack etwas und die Einheimischen sind sehr freundlich und tollerant.Wer einmal hier war,kommt immer wieder gerne zurück

I just want to say that I loved the place. The location was absolutely stunning you were in the middle of the center and the view from the balcony was astonishing. The rooms were also spacious and the beds were very big. Then we had also the breakfast what was really like you got in heaven. So much choice! You will get personally welcomed when you got there and then they will make much effort to tell you what places to visit and how. So that comes in handy! The bathroom was also very nice and all the furniture inside the apartment was a piece of art. I want to thank you for the great experience and all the personal care!

If you are looking for a charming place to stay in the heart of Valencia don't look any further. Perfect location, relaxing atmosphere and personal service from breakfast to late night tips not found in any 5 star hotel. We will be back.

Que lugar mas bonito, me he quedado ahi 5 días y fue estupendo. Un desayuno exquisito, podía relajarme en las sesiones de yoga, está situado en el corazón de Valencia, justo al lado de la catedral. Todo con estilo y diseño, y el servicio, ¿qué puedo decir? el mas competente.

This was one of my favourite holidays! The perfect location and the beautiful B&B with its brilliant hosts. Beach, clubbing and just sipping some delicious cafe con leche!! This is the first time I traveled alone and I would highly recommend it! I met so many people and thanks to Kay and Mat I was able to make the most out of this weeks stay! I will come back next year!!

Since I've travelled quite a lot, I can honestly say this was one of the best experiences I've ever had! The five star champagne breakfast really is a five star breakfast. Excellent! You feel at home right away and I was treated so kind by Dany and Thijs. They gave me lots of diningtips and sightseeing tips and it was easy to find my way through the city. It was wonderful to be surrounded by a certain peacefulness, after a long day of walking around this beautiful city. The combination of the friendly attitude of Dany and Thijs, the wonderful room I had and the perfect location, makes me want to come back for sure! My three days at Valencia, felt like an experience much more than I expected it to be.

Lovely people running this place, they really make your stay worthwile and are keen to tell you all the in's and outs of Valencia! The yoga and massages are available if you want them, they never try to 'sell' them to you. If you're looking for an authentic and relaxing place to stay when exploring Valencia this is it!

This place is in between the warm squares/streets of Valencia and the cool park on the other side. All within a few minutes walking.. in this city anything is possible, food ,drinks, relaxation and beaches. But its never really crowded. Its exactly the kind of spain you'd wish to stay forever. its urban without the urban stress : )))))) In this retreat you feel immediately at home, with great people making you feel welcome!! I want to go there now!!! if I could!!

A wonderful atmosphere! The food and service is over the top. If you are traveling to Valencia, do yourself a favor a stay at this cozy b & b.

This is a amazing place. The service is great and the people are very kind! The room and the bathroom are perfectly cleaned and has everything you need. The breakfast is delicious and cozy. Beside all these thing, it is located perfectly. Close to all the things you need, including the bus and metrostation. We had a great time and it is really worth it to try it yourself!

For a place to just get away and relax, Valencia Mindfulness Retreat is perfect! Although I'm not currently interested in yoga or group activities, this is a place where you can decompress on your own terms. Join a group or relax on your own--no pressure at this place. Just like a B&B, rooms are private, perfectly clean, safe and comfortable. Just wait until you see the fabulous breakfast! The two hosts will guide your stay, with excellent dining suggestions, shopping, sight-seeing, historical places, etc. Location is perfect as well--it's in the heart of town making a pleasurable stroll anywhere. Valencia is a great old city with much to do and see. My idea of wellness is to get away and empty my mind; this is the place to do it. I already look forward to my next visit!

We are a retired - but vary active - couple, and we chose this charming bed and breakfast by their central location. And yes, we made a perfect choice! To be honest, they also offer massages and yoga-stuff, but actually we just wanted a very personal location in the very center, from which we could walk to all major sites and restaurants. We have not been disappointed! The host are genuine and local, and one of them used to live in Oregon, and we hit it off very fast. We had a daily cultural agenda drawn up to our likings, the rooms where very very nice with original details, and the location can't be better next t the major VIRGEN SQUARE; we walked everything! Breakfast with fresh pastries from the local bakery and a wide selection of fresh fruits every day topped up with Spanish Champagne, it was very very good. We felt very comfortable, and so much enjoyed the personal atmosphere. So, if you are not into meditation, nor into yoga, you will meet very friedly locals who will go out of their way for a dinner-reservation, tickets to the opera, or what else. This was a genuine experience and have recommended to friends and family alike. (Voluntary minibar, free wifi, and Champagne poured like it was Cool-Aid) Loved it! Jeffrey and Evelyn.

Too good to be true. What a wonderful B&B and wellness retreat. What gifted hosts!!! We could have stayed here forever. We will never forget the five star champagne-breakfasts, the great location and the incredible friendliness of our hosts. Wow. What an amazing time.

Dany and Thijs make their love for art and people the two magic ingredients for a kind of hospitality that is hard to come by these days. Their comfortable and central location on Plaza conde de carlet is the ideal starting point for exploring everything to see and do in the center of Valencia by foot.

... a fine balance, well achieved. I stayed for 3 nights at the beginning of Dec and it surpassed my expectations for a bed & breakfast. Arrival was SO personal, but not intrusive and I quickly felt that I was an honoured, welcomed guest... which made me feel immediately relaxed. The decor is unique, thought provoking, eclectic and beautifully accomplished - I loved it! Breakfast was just So relaxed, company was grand, massage to die for - sorry if I sound 'horizontal'....but I just LOVED VMR and will Definitely be going back this year...that's if you'll have me guys?

Not that Dany and Thijs actually cooked dinner for us, but there dining tips where just that what we we're looking for: hidden places which we would never had found without their insight information. A warm calm and energy bringing weekend we had.
