El Azul is easily accessible by road and rail (Alora station is opposite.) Màlaga and the coastal resorts are just 35-40km away. From the airport, take the new A357 to Pizarra/Alora (this should take about 35 minutes) and whether by car or train, the journey passing through lemon lime and orange groves is delightful. El Azul is based at the bottom of the castle, 5 minutes from town with good amenities including shops, estate agents, tapas bars & restaurants.
