Magnificent farm-house of the 17th century, in a wild and untouched region of the Girona Pyrenees, a dream for all those who enjoy hiking or mountain-biking in the wild. Surrounded by woods and silence for many miles around, at night we can't see a light other than the moon and the stars. The house is on a mountain pass, which offers spectacular views of two valleys. We enjoy more than 300 sunny days a year and. We rent out two guest-rooms on the first floor of the beautifully refurbished house where we live, and an independent apartment on the ground floor. Both rooms, the West room and the East room, with a bathroom en suite, are furnished with a double bed and a double futon sofa-bed. The apartment consists of a large luminous hall with high vaulted ceilings, with an American kitchen, the fireplace, the big dining table and a comfortable living area including 2 sofa-beds; a sleeping room with a double bed and a set of bunch-beds; a spacious bathroom; and a cosy garden terrace under stone vaults, with a barbecue. The house is practically self-sufficient: the heating is worked by the central fireplace, and electricity is produced by solar panels. We make our own bread, pasta, game sausages, pickles and chutneys, marmalades and jams (from our fruit trees and from wild berries and nuts), and we grow our own organic vegetables. We breed chicken and ducks. We offer half-board or full-board service, using our self-grown organic products, as well as those of other local farmers, to cook our specialities. We have 3 little dogs and 4 cats, and all animals are welcome.

For those who want to escape noisy cities, tourist traps or just need a peaceful, silent environment while keeping a high level of comfort, stop searching and book with Can de Bosc (aka Can Coll). The lovely Amanda's counterpart Dino serves very inventive and super-tasty dishes at night, accompanied by Amanda's home-baked bread and country wines, which you can savor while enjoying spectacular views. The amenities, the service and hospitality are outstanding, and this place is surprisingly close to the everyday world. Although only 5 km outside of Albanyà, it's a steep and sometimes rocky climb, which can be done just fine with a regular car. We came by bike, and an alternative route via a cemented road, a bit longer, but equally steep is preferred unless you have serious mountain bikes. We stayed in the apartment, which is well equipped. Many wonderful and well maintained trails cross the area, and there are several natural swimming pools close by. There is internet, but luckily no TV. On a clear night, you can see the milky-way and all stars, and the sunrise is worth waking up for. The price for all this is most reasonable.
