My husband and I spent two nights in the Lakota Room while we were on vacation in South Dakota. Our room was comfortable. There was a special light at night that could be turned on so there are stars on the ceiling of the room. We really enjoyed the starry night on our ceiling. This room also had a great 2 person jacuzzi tub in addition to a shower in the bathroom. We also had an outdoor patio since we were on the lower level. That was nice so we could enter and exit through the patio. The owners and staff were very friendly. The breakfasts had European flair and were delicious! We were surprised how busy the B & B was when we visited since it was off season in the area. The other guests were nice and the owners did an amazing job with the breakfasts since everybody ate at the same time. The location was great too. It wasn't very far away from Hill City. That was one of our favorite towns in South Dakota.

    Pine View Room

    September 28, 2012

Although the Pine View Rooms are small, they are very nice, clean, and cozy. And the value is terrific! We had a great stay at Coyote Blues. The setting is beautiful, Christine and Hans Peter are lovely people, the food was great, and the proximity to Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Wind Cave, and Custer was perfect. I highly recommend it. Becky

Welcoming and lovely inside and out

    September 27, 2012

From the minute we walked in the door, we were welcomed and every comfort possible was laid out before us from snacks to coffee to ice and more. Breakfast was huge and tasty. Hans and Christine built this house to welcome guests and they are friendly and lovely. The house has decks overlooking beautiful woods and animals.A must!

    Cozy getaway near Mount Rushmore!

    April 28, 2012

We stayed an evening in this B&B on a cross country drive. It was a GREAT value, the house is beautifully designed on an isolated and tranquil plot of 30 wild acres. The breakfast included an assortment of fruit, cheese & meat platters, fresh breads, cereals, eggs, juice, coffee, and home-made pastries. This is an excellent European-flavored choice from amongst the B&B's in the Rapid City area -- wish we could have stayed a few more days!

    Nice Place-Nice People

    October 13, 2011

We spent 3 nights at this B&B. It is in a beautiful excluded area. Two nights were in one of the small rooms because that was all that was available. The last night was in the Africa room. Both rooms were comfortable but the Africa room was superb. The European style breakfast was wonderful and the owners were very pleasant and helpful. I would highly recommend this B&B but do try to arrive before dark if possible so you can find it easily.

    Cozy in the Black Hills

    July 26, 2011

A secluded yet easily accessible B&B. Wonderful hosts, fantastic food and superb accommodations. The hot tub was ready -- very nice out on the deck surrounded by trees -- lovely.

    Wonderful accomodations!

    May 30, 2011

We stayed at Coyote Blues for 4 nights in May 2011 and loved it. Christine and Hans Peter are terrific hosts and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. They even DVR'd a TV show we mentioned we wanted to see, and waited to watch it with us until we returned from our day of sightseeing. The room was very clean and comfortable. The private hot tub was great too. The Inn is in a beautiful setting in the black hills and in a great location to see everything this area of SD has to offer.

    GREAT ROMANTIC Getaway

    February 22, 2011

My GF and I have stayed at the Coyote Blues the past two valentines days. We stayed an additional night this year because we wenjoyed it so much the last time. Although we live less than 30 miles away we really enjoy our stays and look forward to the tranquility and relaxation. We enjoy the lovely surroundings, private hot tubs and beautiful rooms. The rooms are unique unlike staying at any other run of the mill hotel. We travel allot and this is our favorite place. The hosts are friendly and fun to hang out with. We sat and drank coffee on both visits. We love stories of Switzerland. The food is great. My GF is a vegetarian and was offered special non meat breakfast foods. It is a great experience at a good price. We will be back again and again for many many more valentines days .
