Excellent.....One of the best B&B's we've stayed in.

We stayed here for a wedding. It was awesome. The owners directed us to a nearby restaurant where we had an incredible meal... it was filet mignon, sides and this epic beer cheese soup (they wouldn't share the recipe!) and it cost a fraction of what this meal would have cost back home... This is gorgeous country. Sort of amazing. Bring allergy meds, if you're like me, though. :) They get bonus points for their old cat, who is probably not with them anymore... (this would gross some of you out) the little dude was/is deaf, and an outdoor cat. We sat down for breakfast and he came walking up to me and gave me a chipmonk. The owners were mortified, but my whole group was cat people, so this was a high honor. :) I would definitely stay here again if I ended up back in Rapid City. Fun place, very clean (the chipmonk incident was out on the huge back deck where we had breakfast! I witnessed no fresh carcasses indoors!) and very much NOT like a hotel.

We stayed at this lovely b&b by Mt Rushmore over Memorial Day weekend. It was very much off the beaten path but it was beautiful. It was surrounded by trees and had cats running around (I happen to love cats so this was a plus for me). The room was beautiful, as was the bathroom. They also had games and a ping pong table that were available to be played. The breakfast was divine. They made frittata for us, and we also had yogurt, fruit, meat, cheese, and bread.

Don't be fooled by the address—this is a country retreat, and the country is beautiful. The inn is very conveniently located for visiting the Black Hills attractions, which I greatly enjoyed. Wildlife in the area is abundant. I left with a much-enhanced appreciation of what South Dakota has to offer. The innkeepers are friendly and interesting. My visit was great.

My husband and I spent two nights in the Lakota Room while we were on vacation in South Dakota. Our room was comfortable. There was a special light at night that could be turned on so there are stars on the ceiling of the room. We really enjoyed the starry night on our ceiling. This room also had a great 2 person jacuzzi tub in addition to a shower in the bathroom. We also had an outdoor patio since we were on the lower level. That was nice so we could enter and exit through the patio. The owners and staff were very friendly. The breakfasts had European flair and were delicious! We were surprised how busy the B & B was when we visited since it was off season in the area. The other guests were nice and the owners did an amazing job with the breakfasts since everybody ate at the same time. The location was great too. It wasn't very far away from Hill City. That was one of our favorite towns in South Dakota.

Although the Pine View Rooms are small, they are very nice, clean, and cozy. And the value is terrific! We had a great stay at Coyote Blues. The setting is beautiful, Christine and Hans Peter are lovely people, the food was great, and the proximity to Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Wind Cave, and Custer was perfect. I highly recommend it. Becky

From the minute we walked in the door, we were welcomed and every comfort possible was laid out before us from snacks to coffee to ice and more. Breakfast was huge and tasty. Hans and Christine built this house to welcome guests and they are friendly and lovely. The house has decks overlooking beautiful woods and animals.A must!

We stayed an evening in this B&B on a cross country drive. It was a GREAT value, the house is beautifully designed on an isolated and tranquil plot of 30 wild acres. The breakfast included an assortment of fruit, cheese & meat platters, fresh breads, cereals, eggs, juice, coffee, and home-made pastries. This is an excellent European-flavored choice from amongst the B&B's in the Rapid City area -- wish we could have stayed a few more days!

We spent 3 nights at this B&B. It is in a beautiful excluded area. Two nights were in one of the small rooms because that was all that was available. The last night was in the Africa room. Both rooms were comfortable but the Africa room was superb. The European style breakfast was wonderful and the owners were very pleasant and helpful. I would highly recommend this B&B but do try to arrive before dark if possible so you can find it easily.

We stayed at Cayote Blue in mid August. It is in a very scenic area and close to Mt. Rushmore and the Chief Crazy Horse monument. The rooms and ambience are wonderful and the hosts were informative and fun. We would love to go back!!!
