American Medley is the largest of all of our rooms and has 2 full size beds and a full size murphy bed. It sleeps a family of 6. Micro-wave,small fridge and cable TV and VCR. Your family will love the stay at the B&B. We have families from all over the world that visit us. We have also had stars like Melissa Gilbert stay with us in this room. This room is also great for a girls day out with friends. Great dining in the area. Come for a quilting,scrapbooking or stamping group. This room is named Forever Blossoms and has a big king bed and a fold out full size murphy bed. It will sleep a family of 4 comfortably. The room also has a 2-person jacuzzi spa. It is always full with hot 102 degree water. Great back jets and the perfect relaxing evening that you deserve. Book it soon and take time out in the evening for some great dining in the area. Some of the best food around.
The Rose Garden room is on the second floor and is another of our family rooms. A big king size bed, a full size murphy bed & a single daybed. It will sleep a family of 5. The bath is extra large and spacious. This room has a private bath, micro-wave,fridge and HD cable tv-vcr. Come and stay soon and enjoy a relaxing evening with great dining in the area & also Historical attractions.
This room is Japanese Garden- It has a 2 person jacuzzi spa always filled with hot 102 degree water. Great back jets! Also enjoy the romantic fireplace in the room. This is a perfect room for a romantic week-end away or just a getaway from the hustle and bustle of life. Candles, Music,and a great breakfast are apart of the whole adventure. Book it soon. Bird Song has slept many men travelling together, Hunters, Mother-sons and father-daughters. It is a nice way to travel together and still have your own space and bed. Our home belonged to, Banker Thomas Ruth, one of the characters in the Little House books that Michael Landon made popular in Little House on the Prairie series. We love to have families come and enjoy the town that author Laura Ingalls Wilder wrote about. Our home is open all year. Rooms are decorated with antiques but have all luxury of the present (TV, air conditioned, private baths await you) for a restful evening. The morning brings the aroma of waffles, French toast,omelletes, pancakes and even a pancake man. Fresh fruit and juice are always served with a smile between 7:30 and 9:00 AM. We will look forward to your arrival in De Smet, South Dakota. The little town on The Prairie. We have 2 in-room jacuzzi's in two of our 1st level rooms. Japanese Garden and Forever Blossoms. Try one out for that special week-end or evening. Great Luxury for a reasonable price.

I was driving through South Dakota and decided to stay over in De Smet. The room I requested was undergoing some remodeling, so the owners gave me a free upgrade to the "Japanese Garden" jacuzzi suite. I felt totally pampered with 10 pillows on the bed, marvelously plush towels, and raspberry-stuffed pancake puffs for breakfast. The owners were as welcoming as could be, and everything was comfortable and beautiful.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay in this lovely old home. The owners are kind, gracious, helpful; the rooms are lovely and clean with attention to detail; the food was delicious; and the house itself was peace-filled. Definitely will return.

My Rose Garden
My Rose Garden room has a king size bed,a single bed and a fold down full size murphy bed. This is a great set up, because if a family is renting the room, the bed is down at night and up during the day- therefore giving more space. We can't into the Dining with a dog. Parking is for only one car, but it was no ploblem to park on the street. Breakfast is very good! We stay with our dog, owner broght breakfast to our room. Owner, Jenny is very very good. Rooms are beautiful. We will stay here again, if we visit De Smet.
