Historic Coughlin House Inn
Located 80 miles northwest of Sioux Falls and north of I90, the Coughlin House Inn offers visitors comfortable accommodations in a beautifully restored 1898 historic residence. All six suites are equipped with a king or queen bed and beautiful decor. Join us each morning for continental breakfast. After breakfast enjoy a nature walk, boating, fishing or swimming at Lake Carthage. Wireless internet, gourmet coffee, daily towel service and cable television are some of the many amentities available. In the summer of 2006 academy award winner Sean Penn and crew from Paramount Vantage Films descended on Carthage to film segments of the movie "Into the Wild". The Coughlin House was home to five members of the production staff.
