The Old Academy was originally built and used as Walterboro's first school house. It is now a charming, fully restored Georgian style home which received the William Lowndes Award in 1998 from the Colleton County Historical Society for the preservation of an historic building. Located in Walterboro's historic district and within walking distance to the downtown area and many antique shops.
