Waters Edge Inn at Folly Beach

Waters Edge Inn was the perfect find on Folly Beach. The staff was friendly and helpful, afternoon cocktails brought guests together, and I could get away to my gorgeous room for some privacy. Anytime I make a trip to Charleston, SC I will be staying at Waters Edge. As a well traveled individual this is the kind of place that makes you feel at home and that is a rare thing to find at a resort destination.

We stayed at Water's Edge in April 2012. Our stay was unbelievable. The service was outstanding and the young ladies at the front desk were absolutely precious and very welcoming. Our room was very nice and view was peaceful. Enjoyed the hot tub and the close walks to all the restaurants and bars. We would definitely go back and would stay at Water's Edge again as promised.

We loved Waters Edge Inn. We were welcomed warmly. Our room was beautiful and we had a lovely view. Loved the hot tub and enjoyed a quiet night's sleep. We would definitely go back and stay longer.

The Inn is only a couple blocks away from the beach, definitely walking distance. If you don't want to walk you can rent bikes from them. We stayed in the islander room and it was gorgeous. The bed was very comfortable and the decor was exceptional. You definitely feel like you are on vacation. The bath room was enormous, it has a multi jet body sprayer in the shower with a sky light to add to the ambiance. There is also happy hour with light Hors d'oeuvre beers, wine, soda and water in the evening. The Inn also provides transportation to downtown folly beach via a golf cart. They were more than accommodating with taking us to restaurants or to the beach. They do provide towels that you can take to the beach. One night we went out for dinner and had leftovers and they were very willing to put them in their refrigerator. Our only complaints would be we never had our bathroom cleaned or picked up during the two nights we stayed there. We had to ask for more towels. Our bed was turned down and chocolates placed though. Also, one morning we had breakfast and as I went to bite into my muffin I realized it was covered in ants. The inn keeper had to throw everything away, so I didn't get any breakfast. If you decide to sleep in, you will have slim pickens on breakfast options (cereal and croissants). The pros out weight the cons, so we would stay here again. It is a beautiful inn and a great location!

we spent a week at Waters Edge and loved the Inn and the location. Very convenient to Charleston and great restaurants and shopping. Will definitely visit again in the future - thanks for a great vacation!

The Inn was a fantastic choice for my wife and I. Peace and quiet at last, without the kids!!!! We were very pleased with the rooms, service and cleanliness. Free evening cocktails and beverages were an unexpected bonus. A close walk or free golf cart shuttle to the beach and local establishments was extremely convienent. I highly recommend an early beach stroll to watch the sunrise, you will not be disappointed. Also a must... Go to Ritas for a great outdoor casual dining spot!

Being from Charleston, I did not know what to expect from a local bed and breakfast. When we were greeted with cocktails by the staff, I was pleasantly surprised. The hotel has incredible marsh views from the hot tub and many of the bedroom. The bathroom was spacious with a deep jetted- tub and roomy shower. Everything inside made me feel like I had stepped into Key West with Hemingway- with modern appliances. The staff was helpful and available without being pushy. We will definitely return to Water's Edge Inn.

We definitely reccommend the Water's Edge Inn... it was basically everything we were looking for: Clean, New, Classy, Jacuzzi, Hot Tub, Fireplace, and close to the Beach!

I just j'dore this Inn. The services was excellent, not far away from all the happening scenes, beach, hgwys, and most of all the staff makes you feel welcome. I have to give it a gold star, if there's such a thing for rating Inns. This now my hidden secert and adventure getaway. I know I will return and will anticipate every momnet.

A small group wanted to visit Charleston but we are all watching our budgets. I found this inn at Folly Beach and rented one of their two Villas adjacent to the inn. The Villas are actually condos, and are very attractive, modern and well appointed. The screen porch was where we spent most of our time, laughing, etc. The kitchen gave the opportunity to bring in our own wine and hors douvres. Each family paid less than $100 a night for a lovely accommodation. There is a small continental breakfast in the inn if you want it, but I suggest you bring your own. We went to Charleston by day and back to the island at night, enjoying very low key and inexpensive meals at Taco Boy and Crab Shacktacular. Neither great, but both quite adequate. Spend your money on a nice lunch in Charleston then dine light on the island. Or order in pizza! Finally, we left a NetFlixx DVD in the DVD player. The staff retrieved it and mailed it to us, saving us the cost of replacing it. That's what one expects but too often you don't find anymore. These people are fine inn keepers.

My husband & I enjoyed a very nice anniversary wknd. stay at the Water's Edge Inn. The place was very nice & comfortable, and the staff was very friendly & helpful. Would highly recommend it to anyone staying in the area. Conveniently located to downtown Charleston.

Waters Edge Inn is a newly constructed B&B just 10 mis. from historic Charleston. From the moment one arrives and is offered a refreshing glass of punch, everything revolves around comfort and relaxation. The inn is tastefully decorated with a casual beach feel and lots of amenities. A mini-fridge is in each room, stocked with bottled water, and homemade cookies are always available. A delicious Continental breakfast (with hot entrees included) is offered each morning between 8-10, and wine is offered in the late afternoon along with appetizers. In addition to the inn's special services, including turndown with chocolates and the next day's weather forecast, guest also have access to bicycles and golf cart "shuttle service" to the nearby beach. WONDERFUL INN!! WE LOVED OUR STAY. THE ROOM WAS VERY CLEAN. THE BED WAS OH SO COMFORTABLE. THE BREAKFAST WAS GOOD. ALSO, THE FOLLY PUNCH HAD QUITE A PUNCH. YOU COULD HAVE THIS DURING COCKTAIL HOURS. THIS IS A WONDERFUL QUITE LITTLE TOWN. IF YOU WANT R&R THIS IS THE PLACE. I LOVED THE BICYCLES. WE BIKED ALL OVER TOWN AND TO THE BEACH. THE BEACH IS ABOUT 2-3 MIN FROM THE INN ON THE BIKES. LOVED OUR STAY CAN"T WAIT TO GO BACK.

The staff warmly greeted us, I mean that literally, with a fragranced warm hand towel, snacks and information regarding the surrounding area. We were shown our room personally and the ammenties reviewed. Our room was stunning, the decor modern, and the view that overlooked the marsh and marina was much nicer than the online photograph . The personal touches like champagne for my B-day and the turn down service with chocolates made us feel very special. Can't wait to return!!!!!!

Fantastic weekend get-away for people traveling near or far. Folly Beach is not really known for its night dining (that is why a rated it 4 and not 5), but Charleston is not far away. California Dreaming is a fantastic choice that is only about 10 minutes away from Folly Beach. This B&B opened in March of 2007 so the whole house is very clean and the hosts were some of the best I have found. If a get-away is needed and relaxing at the beach sounds good to you then this should be your next destination. Oh, the Folly Punch (acholholic) will also make for a relaxing evening.

We went for a weekend the end of December 07 and had a great time. Waters Edge is very clean and very charming. We rode bikes and walked and just relaxed. Sandy,the innkeeper and the girls that worked in the afternoon were all very accomdating and helpful. They were very friendly. I recommend Waters Edge for a great get a way or vacation. We enjoyed eating breakfast on the porch and there was always cookies to eat. Had a great time!!!!!

We stayed for our Anniversary and had a wonderful experience. We highly recommend this Bed & Breakfast. Even better than the pictures!

We stayed here for our anniversary and it was great. It was everything I had hoped for. Everyone there was so nice and helpful. It was great to be at the beach and to be so close to downtown Charleston. We took a cab to dinner to avoid parking. I loved the rooms, they were very clean, crisp, and modern with down comforters and a flat screen tv. A spa like bathroom, a very nice balcony with a private table and chairs, and lots of attention to detail. Chocolates on our pillows when we came home from dinner. Champaign for our aniversary. Complimentary cocktail hour daily with a nice a bar selection including wine and crab dip with crackers. I loved the french toast casserole for breakfast! And the coffee was excellent. The lighting around the property and the "rocks" that play music add a nice touch to the ambiance. The have an outdoor jacuzzi, too. Complimentary bicycles to ride down to the beach and take a nice walk on the pier. It was just a perfect weekend! Thanks guys, great place!
