Celeste's room is often a favorite. The queen size bed is a tuscan iron canopy with bedding that is so comfortable you might consider skipping breakfast. This room, like Alma's, has a whirlpool tub and an in-room antique vanity with a 27" TV in the armoire.
The dining room has three tables so you can enjoy breakfast by yourself or join in with other guests. Breakfast entrees include three Moore Farm House Frastrattas, french toast stuffed with cream cheese and raspberries, apple-sausage ring for two with scrambled eggs and skillet home fries, and many more mouth watering ways to begin the day.The library contains a wide assortment of books and a pool table. One guest recently said, "I could spent the entire day in your library." Break a book or break a rack, but feel free to make it part of your home away from home.
Myrtle's room contains a king size bed that can be changed into two twin beds. The handmade headboard compliments the other furnishings in various shades of blue. Myrtle never dreamed her bathroom would have a "his and her" shower. A cultured marble shower with two shower heads and controls makes this farm room something special. The spacious living room invites you to come in and rest for awhile. You can just relax, read a book, join in conversation with the other guests and hosts or watch a movie on the large screen TV. Make our living room yours while you stay with us.
Alma's room is decorated with a queen size cherry sleigh bed and matching armoire (which contains a 27" TV with cable). The vanity is an antique in-room dry (now wet)sink. Your bathtub/shower is a tile enclosed whirlpool tub. Take a soak, slip on a soft terrycloth robe and enjoy a TV movie before you take the most restful sleigh ride you'll ever have. When you ascend the stairs to the second floor bedrooms, you will be amazed at the beauty of the original heart pine floor, the antique spinning wheel, and the lovely original art of our local Conway artist Lon Calhoun.
Vera's room is furnished with a bedroom suite rescued from a Tennesse farm house about to be destroyed. But don't let the simplicity fool you. This spacious room, while filled with antiques, will still provide you the comforts you would expect in 2003.The original Moore Farm House was built in 1874. It burned to the ground when one of the girls was stirring the wash in the kettle out back. An ember set fire to the cotton fluff under the walkway and the house quickly burned. This picture includes James and Mary Moore, grandparents of the girls in whose rooms you will stay.
