Fabulous rooms with a view overlooking Charleston Harbor and Historic Fort Sumter. Locally known as the "Pink Palace" it is one of the 50 most famous homes in Charleston. The Palmer Home is in the center of the historic district. Off-street parking, hot breakfast, wine & cheese all included.

We stayed at the palmer one night while we were in Charleston. They treat you like family while you are staying with them. We were not able to enjoy the breakfast because we had to catch a plain, but overall was one of the best places we have every stayed.

The room was expensive but the location was the best thing. There was an availability and we got a free upgrade on our room. Breakfast was very nice.

The house is beautiful and we loved how the owner keeps the family history alive and actually uses and displays precious family photos and heirlooms. Casey, William, and Angie were very helpful and nice. They made our stay very special. We stayed in the suiite. It is LARGE and has a beautiful balcony off the living area! I recommend this place to stay while visiting Charleston.

We had a nice stay at the Palmer Home. The breakfasts were goo though it would be nice to have the offerings changes each day. The staff were very helpful in recommending dining places & places to visit.

My husband and I stayed in the Magnolia Room of the Palmer Home for 2 nights. It was our first experience in a bed & breakfast. We LOVED the house! The location could not have been better! We parked our car when we got there & didnt move it until we left. Its a walk to the downtown area, but not bad at all! We enjoyed the walk & views, and it was so nice not having to drive & find somewhere to park. The views from the porches are well worth the trip! Our favorite place was the rocking chairs on the second floor piazza, I could have stayed there all day! Breakfast was good, we really enjoyed the wine & cheese in the afternoon. We loved the Magnolia room, at first being off the kitchen, I felt secluded. But i loved the privacy & the quietness of it! Bed was comfy, room was clean, & shower was nice! We enjoyed our stay & definitely would love to return to the Palmer Home B&B!

This was our first vacation without kids and our first B&B. It was wonderful! It was like stepping back into time with the comforts and feeling of home instead of a motel/hotel room. The Palmer Home is full of history and our rooms were large and comfortable. The views are outstanding from the porches when you are enjoying breakfast on the porch in the morning or wine and cheese at 4:00pm. There is "on premise" parking with food and shopping only minutes walk away. The staff was very friendly and our concierge was very knowledgeable of the area and restaurants to feast at. This has been one of our best stays in years and will be coming back again.

If your looking for a B and B that is off the charts GREAT then the Palmer house is for you. It was elegant yet not stuffy, friendly yet not intrusive, and comfy shabby chic. when you can find a place to saty that feels like home you know you have struck it rich. Down to earth, casual yet old world charm in every corner. it was a feast for the eyes and spirit. It must have the best view in town as you sip your morning coffee or tea have breakfast which was lovingly prepared and watch the sailboats on the water.- what a dream come true. The staff and owner couldn't have been more friendly or helpful . It was like you were invited into their home as a special guest. I highly recc The Palmer as a special gem of a getaway in Charleston
Very large room with beautiful queen antique bedset. Audubon prints over sofa in large living room. Large bathroom has an antique clawfoot tub and shower.
This queen bed was built in 1850. It is signed and dated by the carpenter. With the best view of the harbor this room is very large and has an adjoining bay window room with a double bed. The private bathroom, located five steps across a private hall, is very large (bath tub and shower).
The King Room is very large and has a bath with shower only. This room also features a nonworking fireplace of Black African Marble and a strata of gold.
This cozy room is located on the third floor of the house and has a view of the Charleston Harbor through an Oak tree just to the left of our house. A beautiful queen four-post canopy bed, a decorative black African-marble fireplace, and a spacious bath give this room a romantic feel. This room does not walk onto the third floor piazza, but you do still have access to both piazzas.
