  • Our home downtown on Charleston's historic King Street.
    Parlor Suite: The large two room parlor suites (each with 600 square feet) consist of a living room, bathroom, and bedroom with a king size canopied bed. The suite is appointed with 18th century reproduction furniture, original plaster molding, a fireplace in the living room, and original hardwood flooring. This suite offers guests the option to close the door between the bedroom and living area to offer more privacy or for entertaining purposes. Other room features you may enjoy are triple sheeted bedding, hair dryer, iron and ironing board, waffle weave robes, 2 TV’s, and an in-room refrigerator.
    Deluxe King: These larger rooms feature antique reproduction furniture, original hardwood floors, oriental rugs, and fireplaces. Like our other rooms you will enjoy triple sheeted bedding, hair dryer, iron and ironing board, TV, waffle weave robes, and in-room refrigerator. Some deluxe rooms have jetted tubs.

    One of King Street's most historic structures, the Kings Courtyard Inn was originally built in 1853 as an inn catering to plantation owners and merchant guests. Located in the heart of historic Charleston, the Inn is within easy walking distance to the city's historic homes, gardens and churches. Guest rooms are individually distinctive and some feature canopied beds, fireplaces and excellent views of the inn's two inner courtyards. Guests enjoy an afternoon welcome of wine and sherry, complimentary wireless internet access and continental breakfast served in the courtyard or delivered to the room each morning.     Great place to stay!

    My husband and I chose Kings Courtyard Inn on the fly from this website. When we arrived, we were pleasantly surprised at its central location (right on King Street with all the shopping). Our room was cozy with a king bed and decent sized bathroom. I was most impressed by the FREE continental breakfast that was delivered to our room. Of course you can order off the breakfast menu, but the free items we ate (especially the home-made pastries) were delicious! We will stay there again!

    The Kings Courtyard Inn staff went out of their way to make our stay more enjoyable. There was a lot of morning noise (due to construction) outside the room my husband and I were initially staying in, and I reported this to the staff. I was given the option to move into a suite at no additional charge and spent the remainder of the trip in a really fabulous room. The location on King Street is perfect, and the value is exceptional. The breakfast is quite nice, and you have the option of having your breakfast tray delivered to your room. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend the Kings Courtyard Inn!
