Finding a room in Charleston during the peak season is no easy feat. Finding one for a reasonable price is a miracle. I couldn't believe out luck when we stumbled upon 27 State Street. Spacious rooms, a lovely 2nd floor veranda, and just steps from Waterfront Park, other attractions and excellent dining. We walked everywhere we wanted to go without trouble. Only drawbacks: if you book the Wurdeman's study, which we did, you have to park in one of the city garages a few blocks away. Also the bed in that room isn't the most comfortable.

    Amazing...

My husband and I took a weekend trip for a wedding in Isle of Palms. We decided to make it a long weekend and were very pleased with this bed and breakfast. The location was amazing, the staff was pleasant, the courtyard was peaceful and breakfast was tasty. I would really recommend this place to anyone.

    wonderful!

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the 27 state st. inn. We sayed in the Wurdman study which was very spacious even though it is listed as the smallest room. The courtyard is beautiful and the view from the upper courtyard where breakfast is served is wonderful. All of the staff was very freindly and helpful. They made our (very late) check-in quite easy. I would absoluely stay here again!
