"Wonderful place -- wish we'd stayed longer!"

"We checked into the Inn at Sugar Hollow Farm after driving down through Shenandoah National Park. We were greeted by one of the owners, Hayden, who said that, because the suite near our room was vacant, they'd decided to upgrade us at no cost to the Shenandoah Suite. What a lovely, lovely room! It had a beautiful bed, a great sitting area with movies, crossword puzzles, and books, and a fantastic tub. It was such a kind thing for them to upgrade us -- it really made us feel welcome. At my husband's request, Hayden and Dick had stocked our fridge with wine and brought over a lovely basket with meats, cheeses, bread, and cookies -- everything was delicious, and there was enough left over for us to take on the road the next day. We later drove to Charlottesville for dinner, which took about 20 minutes. The Inn is a ways out of town, which was nice because it was so quiet and serene -- a nice change of pace in our hectic lives. Breakfast was lovely -- eggs, sausage, pancakes, baked apples. They also served these incredibly delicious cinnamon raisin muffins (wish I had the recipe!). We left feeling relaxed and rejuvenated, but we really loved our stay and hope to return someday, perhaps with our parents. Wish we could have stayed another day or two!"
