This was my first time in Africa and at the Duck Inn. The Duck Inn is outstanding in every way. The rooms, food and people are truly outstanding. The pictures truly do not do the Duck Inn justice. When I go back, this truly is the only place I will stay.

The lovely grounds of the Duck Inn fortell the relaxing and gracious accomadations within. The hostess, who is also a terrific chef, could not have done a single thing more to make my stay more enjoyable. The Duck Inn is my first choice in Richards Bay.

I traveled to South Africa from Rochester, NY for the first time and stayed at the Duck Inn with the group I traveled with. It was amazing. The staff are so wonderful and always greeting us. The innkeeper Sue is also amazing! I can't even begin to explain how helpful, caring and sweet Sue is. The rooms were spotless and the beds were so comfortable. The Inn is also home to three dachshunds and a cat that are loving and always there to greet and entertain you. I highly recommend the Duck Inn to anyone who will be staying in the area.

Each year we travel from Rochester, New York, USA to visit our partner Hospice in Zululand. We had the great fortune to be directed to the Duck Inn on our first visit in 2006 and have returned every year. Sue Duckles is truly the "hostess with the mostess". The rooms are spotless, comfortable, with many amenities. Breakfast is truly a treat, and we often return after a busy day to a wonderful dinner. We even get to share her friendly dogs as they visit us in our rooms, and remind us of our own pets back home. Her staff is friendly, greeting us every morning as we make our way to the dining room for breakfast. Sue has gone out of her way to assure our stay is a most wonderful experience. Staying there is part of the reason I look forward so much to my annual visit to Zululand Hospice.
