My 26 year old daughter traveling to nashville for a job interview stayed at Grandmas House B&B last evening for a delightful stay. Mary's hospitality and the quaint comfort of the guest room was spectacular: from the warm homemade chocolate chip cookies at check in to the full and spectacular breakfast meal in the am. My daughter was glowing with tranquility and pampered pride upon her exit. Get away for a night or two just outside Nashville; away from the city and you won't regret the country charm this B&B provides.
We loved our spacious room with a comfortable king-sized bed. The room was tastefully decorated, including a claw foot tub. We spent time relaxing in the private backyard out by the koi pond. Listening to the gurgling water and chirping crickets under the weeping willow was wonderful.
The breakfast was delicious. The homemade biscuits were light and fluffy. We were surprised with a made from scratch apple pie tart. We were treated like family and Mary shared the history of her historic house.
We wish we had booked more time to spend at this bed and breakfast. For the price of a chain hotel, we had a romantic evening with a homemade breakfast in a home from the 1800's. The value was outstanding. What a wonderful way to start our vacation!
The proprietors, Mary and Fred, are excellent hosts. The B&B is conveniently located to Nashville, and the price is a real bargain. The breakfasts are superb and plentiful. I would not hesitate to recommend Grandma' s House, and look forward to staying there the next time I visit Nashville.
