We have a beautiful country Inn, listed on the National Register of Historic Homes. The Buckmaster Inn was built in 1801 and is located in Shrewsbury, VT. Shrewsbury is a picturesque, quiet community, wonderful for hiking, biking, cross-country skiing or simply relaxing. We have four guest rooms with private baths. The decor is New England country flare and comfortable for resting after a long day in the fresh air. We have fireside breakfast dining or breakfast served on a very large screened-in porch during the warmer months. We're a very friendly and hospitable Inn and when you are our guests, we make you feel as though you are at your own home away from home. We are centrally located on the back side of Killington Mountain between Rutland and Ludlow, Vermont. We can be reached by major highways and roads which will bring you to our splendid location in our quaint community. 27 room brick Federal home built in 1808. This home is surrounded by 320 acres of beautiful views in the center of Shrewsbury. All rooms are very large and most have a double & single bed in each. Some have wood stoves. Guests enjoy walking & hiking on the farm. Much to do in the surrounding area within 40 mins. drive. True Vt. hospitality, a visit to the past at Grandma's House.
