In the old children's story, '' Stone Soup'', three weary travelers in need of food and rest come upon a small village only to find the inhabitants wary and pretending to be in need themselves. The travelers convince the villagers they can make a soup out of stones. Enchanted by this marvelous claim, the villagers gradually contribute the food they had hidden away. Together, they make a wonderful soup and the whole village comes out to welcome the travelers with a great feast. Our bed and breakfast draws from the lesson of the story. We look to welcome new visitors to our city and have created a warm, friendly environment - a home away from home - where travelers can relax by a fire, share their experiences and sleep in comfort. Come join us and read the entire story in our library. Located in the heart of the historic Old Northside, the Stone Soup Inn offers all the beauty and comfort of an upscale turn of the century home. After stepping into the large foyer, relax by the baby grand piano in the living room or cuddle up with a good book in our library. All of these rooms contain beautifully detailed woodwork and hardwood floors. Breakfast will be served in our distinctive dining room or, weather permitting, on the large, wraparound porch. On the second floor, share stories with other guests in the sitting room or outside on the spacious balcony overlooking the front garden and Lilly pond. Decorated with a combination of Mission-style and Victorian-era antiques, guests will find a comfortable, convenient place to stay as they explore nearby historic sites and downtown attractions.

We invite you to relax and enjoy a touch of the Mediterranean at our Inn, Restaurant and Spa. Built in 1906 and located in Indy's Premiere Historic District the Old Northside. The buliding was modeled after a Florentine Villa seen by the original owners, the Reids, on their honeymoon in Italy. 6 large upscale guestrooms are loaded with amenities, Restaurant at the Villa features the finest in Euro-American Cuisine and the Spa at the Villa offers a complete range of relaxing and pampering services. Built in 1905, the Looking Glass Inn is located in the heart of the Old Northside, an area that was home for the principal leaders of Indianapolis at the turn of the century. Elizabeth Gates, the widow of a wholesale grocery merchant, erected this Free Classic style Mansion and lived here until 1907. Special packages available.
