Derek and Elizabeth have been running their Bed & Breakfast business for 50 years and still love it as much as they did when they first began providing accommodation for paying guests. The multi award winning Ashcroft Farmhouse is a ranch style farmhouse built in 1993 to replace the old farmhouse next door, and was recently a finalist in the ‘AA Friendliest B & B Award’ for 2012. All the golf-themed accommodation, including the six en suite bedrooms, is on the ground floor so that guests don’t have to carry luggage upstairs and there is a lovely lounge to relax in in the evening after a busy day sightseeing, shopping or playing golf. Derek has won lots of awards over the years for his lovely landscaped gardens and there is garden furniture for your use to enjoy picnics or a refreshment in the evenings you supply the wine and we’ll supply the glasses! Located just outside the village of East Calder, West Lothian, near the heart of Scotland, Ashcroft Farmhouse lives up to its reputation as an award winning Guest House. Guests with laptops, etc. are also offered complimentary wi-fi access and all rooms have flat-screen digital TVs with Freeview. With its central location, Ashcroft Farmhouse which is a 5 acre small holding, is surrounded by countryside and yet is only 10 miles from Edinburgh City Centre providing the perfect setting for a peaceful break or a busy golfing sightseeing or touring holiday.
